The legends coil is a good bit thicker than the Anfibio. A good bit heavier too. The weight on the Legend is mostly at the coil so it wears my arm out more til I get used to it. I love my Legend though!

About 1.5 - 2 years ago I asked you if you could only have one machine only what would you choose. You said the Anfibio because it has so many coils options & performed very well.
Now that’s it’s a couple years later what machine would you choose (NOT including the Deus)?
The Deus is just in a class of its own & completely understand that.
I’m definitely considered a newbie & watch videos everyday cuz I want to learn & I’ve always wanted to be the best at anything I do. Doesn’t matter what it is.
I seriously want to soak up every bit of information & knowledge.
I’ve learned everything I know on TH-cam. Watching thousands of videos…mostly yours.
I’m seriously considering upgrading to the Legend. This is a hobby for me & I would love to have the Deus 2, but I really don’t need a $1,600 machine.
For $200 less then the Nox 800 you think the Legend would be the best bang for the buck?

Im curious to know if you ever got into detecting? I purchased an Anfibio last year and didn’t really care for it. I ordered a Manticore back in January and still haven’t received it so Ive been using the Anfibio. Im really starting to understand it. Last year, I detected mostly in 3 tone mode and found tons of iron. This year, Ive done alot of testing in the various modes and discovered that 3 tone is probably the worst mode to detect in. The other discrimination modes are mostly the same with respect to depth and id except that the deep mode does indeed go deeper and even deeper if you use EUD. My Anfibio in deep mode was able to detect a silver quarter at 9 inches with the sensitivity set to 40 put of a possible 99. Anyway, if you did get the anfibio, I would be glad to chat with you about it.

Great video, I have the Anfibio with the 7” concentric and 5x9. I love the machine, but it’s very heavy after a day detecting. I have the legend pro pack ordered. Waiting patiently for its arrival

Well I have the anfibio and have no problem to swing it for a few hours. I think it depends on how strong you are.
You can always use a special vest which compensatates the weight. No sir I will stick to the anfibio it offers me a lot of fine tuning possibilities. I had the simplex also. A very good detector also a deepseeker. The multiple frequency search mode is not so interesting for me because I don't search in salt water or heavy mineralised ground.

My Legend wears out my arm worse than my Anfibio cause the weight is at the coil on the legend. I love the Legend though. But I will never get rid of my Anfibio.

I feel like both machines were suffering in the EMI you have there. You probably have both audible and silent emi. Silent kills any machine like the NOX being next to the Deus 2 that Calabash discovered. The Kruzer and Anfibo are deep(some of the deepest) machines but not with any kind of EMI around, it just over taxes their CPU. That being said I've never had to swing that slow with my Kruzer, especially in 3 tone mode and moderate EMI. That seems almost surreal. I wish there wasn't 3 feet of snow so I could test my machine right now. Now I may have to buy a new machine dammit!!! 😆

    • @MrBottlecapBill
      @MrBottlecapBill 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I wouldn't mind seeing this testagain in a place with a lot less EMI. I know the Legend is still going to easily win but I can't believe how horrible your anfibio is performing there. I'd also like to see a depth contest, regardless of swing speed to see which machine hits deepest in any mode or setting. I find deep mode is the deepest practical mode. You can get deeper in gen mode but it's iffy.

    • @PaystreakSuperfreak

Both machines can hit deeper nails that is for sure. Both machines can hit 6" deep silver dimes in hot soil. Both machines can hit on iron pipes at 12" deep. I do not have much interest in deep seeking machines anymore because all detectors go deep. Some detectors hit high conductors at depth and some detectors hit low conductors at depth. It is irrelevant to compare depth of machines because all machines perform different in different soils, EMI and on different conductive metals at different frequencies and at different swing speeds.

I love how when someone buys or should I say waisted their money on the newest thing how they have to justify it
The anfibio is a much better and balanced detector! And you thinks it’s better to have a coil thinner! Well that’s a BAD thing! The legend has a cheaper made coil AND THATS THE IMPORTANT part of the detector! That’s your transmitter and receiver for the software, so if it’s thinner there’s less of something either copper or build quality either one is bad!
People that don’t know what their talking about should keep quite
I’ve had them all from kids detectors to $2500 dollar ones and the anfibio was too good that’s why they took it off the market, I got down almost 2 feet with it granted I have 35 years detecting and know how to tune to soils
Bottom line to those of you that own the anfibio KEEP it don’t get rid of it you may not be able to get another one, make a test garden and learn this machine it’s the best one out there
Recovery speed is there just learn it and besides, I don’t know anyone that swings like a freak detectors are built to swing at a normal speed at least 99.9% of us do
And if you don’t have enough muscle to swing a few ounces more than the legend then you better hit the gym!- lol

Lol I have the Anfibio 14 and I also have the Legend, I've used the Anfibio for awhile, but didn't like it. In my opinion it dated technology and dosent have the Adjustability of the Legend. The Legend is 3 times the machine that the Anfibio is! My Anfibio sits in the corner and doesn't get used. Everytime I metal detect I use the Legend, no comparison in my opinion. Selling my Anfibio 14 for $400 and I paid almost $1000 for it here in Canada!🇨🇦
