The crowd and judges watched in awe of the Balloon Man's ability to jump up each step in succession. One. Than Two. And Than a Third. They cheered and celebrated the Ballon Man's great feats of skill and power. The final hurdle, the multicolored tower, it's stability was questionable, the crowd grew concerned, could he do it? Without much of second thought, Balloon Man leaped...and he landed. The land was firm, strong, and triumphant. The crowd grew in volume, their applause a testament to the great feats the Balloon Man had let them bare witness, and they celebrated.
Until...Hammer Man approached. He, who had taken so make Balloon lives in times past. He, who could topple the tower so easily that Balloon Man had claimed, it wouldn't be difficult to send him tumbling down, down onto the cold, unforgiving stage. It would be so simple, and the crowd, along with the trio of judges knew this was the end. It all had to end, had to be this way, Balloon Man had to fall.
A silence fell over the crowd, a silence of fear, worry...and acceptance. Not one dared to interrupted, not one tear was wiped, all eyes were on the stage, where the Hammer Man was winding up to dethrone their champion. Again, as it always has been.
But in the midsts of tragedy....a miracle.
The hammer collided with the tower, violently throwing the first color off. But Balloon Man did not fall.
The crowd watched in awe, is praise, in hope. They cheered for their champion, they prayed for his victory.
A second color, gone. Balloon Man did not fall. A third. Balloon Man did not fall. Hammer man swung at the colors with fury and malice, but Balloon Man. Did. Not. Fall.
The crowd stood, they cheered, loud and proud of their champion. The judges silently watched in awe at that which could not be done. The embodiment of hope, Balloon Man did not fall.
So this didnt get put to the top of the algorithm for comments but i just want to say you totally made my day one hope filled balloon man better

Jumping inside a rubber inflatable bubble actually goes back to shogun times. Samurai would spend up to 5 years in a rubber bubble as part of their intense conditioning training. Apprentice Samurai were known to bounce their way on to the battlefield and several Pac-Man levels were actually a depiction of many of these historical battles.

It wasn't what he did, but how he did it. Most of the time, that's all entertainment is. When you break any story, or performance down it's not necessarily all that spectacular at it's core.
Actually, he wants us to believe that he's doing something extremely difficult, but it's relatively simple. He wins over the crowd that applauds excitedly for the feat. Good show.

My educated guess would be that there is a "crowd-warmer" to force their reactions in order to give a good image which is normal in a sense like nobody would be attract to a show if everybody in the audience had no reaction to it...
Though, don't get me wrong, i could see the difficulty of the performance but i can't help with myself but i couldn't unsee the ridiculousness of it...
