      Hey, you know what, you got under there and did it yourself. Good for you. There's better ways and tools to use, but you figured it out with what you had at the time. That's how you learn. These people with unlimited daddy's funds and new trucks can't even figure out how to change a tire. You're obviously not a seasoned mechanic, but your learning, keep it up.

  • @chiefjaspil

    You must employ more safety measures else you are likely to have an accident. The question then is how disabling that accident will be? Please use dual jack stands, one holding and one just behind that one in the event of a slide off. Additionally, don't put yourself in jeopardy. Use proper tools, a break over bar would have been good and or a socket and extension. You're a smart guy don't make dumb mistakes concerning safety. Jim

    I have an '88 F150 XLT Lariat with the 351 Windsor V8. 2.5" True dual "straights" (no cats) to dual glass packs and 3 inch turn downs. Hauls ass pretty good. It'd be faster if the truck wasn't as heavy. Some people would ask why lift a 2 wheel drive. Personally I just like the way it looks better. Idk if you can even call a leveling kit a lift kit cuz all its doing is making it ride evenly and not have the front lower than rear. Anyway nice video man looks good.

  • @tristanbrinson6748

    The reason you have that gap is because you only took the metal bushing that hold the spring on and your supposed to take the ruber bushing that sits under the spring stock from factory and put it on top of the spacer then you put the spring on and then you put the metal one on that holds it down. The ruber one ubsorbs shock

  • @powerobsession734
    @powerobsession734 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great vid, I'm just curious about how it will effect longevity of the front suspension. the spring looks a little cockeyed and overcompressed, which will advance wear on it. Shouldnt you get shorter springs designed for the 2" block, that fit without compressing so much? Has the front end started squatting or going out of alignment?
    Not criticizing, I'm legitimately curious, wanting to know before I dive into it myself.

    • @blane4thgen

      I upgraded to moog coil springs which have a higher rate and are heavier duty. They don't lose height after a long time I've had them on with the leveling kit for a year now and it rides better than the stock springs.

    I got the exact same kit for my 1994 f150 but the stud extensions don’t fit with the original bolt what do you suggest?

    • @blane4thgen
      @blane4thgen  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ruben Melendez take the stud extensions to a hardware store or Home Depot and find a bolt that will fit on it

    No pivement arm, no new suspension braces or frame support brackets at all, and on top of that you called your disc brakes drums when you were actually under your hub. I like the lift and all, but you will end up having bad problems. Be more informed on how to do this stuff. Get all new brackets, shocks, coils, leafs, blocks, and pivement arm next time. Will ride a lot smoother and look a lot better

      Go to a local oReily and tell them you need to order a +/-3° camber bushing for the year model truck you have, make sure they are the Moog brand. And buy two of them, only one come in a box.

      HANSLEY Franco R. I had to buy the camber bushings myself because they would have to special order them anyways, and just get the ones they say to. And have a shop align it and you shouldn't have problems. I don't have any problems with mine

    Never find any part of your body, under the rotter. I know you have safety stands up, but I still have seen vehicles roll back. Especially when pulling on a wrench. Do trust it ..Please..

    I have a '93 and looking to put a body kit on mine. Is this essentially the same as a leveling kit? What kind of kit did you put on? How big of tires would you recommend for a 3 inch?

    • @blane4thgen
      @blane4thgen  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Adam Glenville i put a 2in leveling kit I believe, with a 3 inch kit you’d probably be good to run 33s maybe 35s mate

    i want to go up to 33s on my 94 f150 2wd but i don't know if a leveling kit will allow tires that size
    i have 31 10.5 15s rn sitting stock

    • @blane4thgen
      @blane4thgen  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      jared cox I have the stock 31x10.5r15 on some 12 wide jeep wheels with adapters so they stick out like 2 inches. I also want to move up to 33s and I think they will fit it just might rub your stock bumper, I made a custom bumper for mine so it won't rub there, only the cab. Check out my other video on the truck. You may just need to trim for the 33s to fit
