Making a BotW Master Sword

- The Blade of Evil's Bane, the Sword that Seals the Darkness, The Hero's Sword, the Sword of Time. No matter what you call it, Link's Master Sword is one of the most iconic swords in video games and it turns out it's tons of fun to make your own. This was made out of 3D printed materials(PLA), leather for the grip straps, and a ton of 5-minute epoxy.
This Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild Master Sword was printed by using files created by Lipki over at Thingiverse. You can download files to make your own 3D prints here:

I printed these files at 115% scale and used this threaded rod for the middle:

The 3D files include a printable grip, but I had some leather lying around, so I decided to use that instead.

One day. One day I'll find someone making a master sword that seems long enough. People always make the blade too short and the handle only big enough for one hand, or like one and a half in the case. It's still cool, but I wish it was larger
That's how the mastersword is. It's a one handed sword that Link, someone who's pretty sword, can use comfortably. It's like that because the sword is literally made for him, bound to his soul.

Its Nailing the Polishing on the Cressent Blade Joint to The Hilt to the Glossing on the wings that make it a solid BOOMER.
i wonder why everyone makes the handle blue as wind waker was the only zelda that used blue on the master sword and pretty much all other use purple

This is super cool and it inspired me to print my own! However, I'm struggling to print the blade do to some walls being too thin. Did you have a similar issue?
Thank you! I know Cura has a "Wall Line Count" setting. I usually print at 3 or 4 wall line count. For something like this you might want more, especially if you're gonna use it on Bokoblins. :)

Awesome video! I'm looking to do the same for a convention, and just wondering: did you print at 115% so it would fit the rod you chose? Does the final product feel too big? Or are you happy with it? Thanks!
Thanks! It doesn't feel too big to me, but I'm larger than Link would be IRL, so I don't know. I decided to print it larger before I got the rod, it just happened to fit. The threaded rod is actually still a little large for 115%. I had to sand the insides down to get it to fit. If I was going to do another one, I'd measure the rod diameter and make adjustments to the 3D files.
