3d printing is definitely not "cheating". As if there was such a thing as cheating in cosplay making. The sword came out incredible as always, as did the costume. You guys are both amazing. Thank you for sharing with us!
This is so cool, the build turned out perfect ❤️ Also 3D printing is definitely not cheating. Yes it’s easier to create builds, but it’s like saying using Eva foam is cheating from using actual raw materials, lol. It’s just a quicker different method, cheating implies you’re not suppose to do it or that it’s wrong, which it isn’t 😂
@@devnull-dz3gj Ugh, you are so right! You’ve opened my eyes and made me realize they were correct all along! But we need to take it a step up: we have to source and mine the materials ourselves, and also craft our own tools to forge the blades! *Everything* must be done by your own hands! Only then will it be fair for all!!! 😤(😂)
@@devnull-dz3gj "If you want to make an apple pie from scratch, you start by creating the universe." 🙃 People saying that 3d printing is cheating very likely overestimate the process and underestimate the additional work that goes into the parts. It's not press a button and be done, after all. (Or they are purists and shun it on principle.)
I'm also curious how heavy the sword turned out to be. Also, I will admit that I used to think 3D printing was some kind of easy way out. That was years ago though. By now I know better. It's a lot of work especially when you make your own model's.
it's always so unssatisfying to see great artists making simply amazing works, looking at them and saying "good enough" 😩. Jokes aside, I love your videos, you both do a great Work!
Wow this costume is absolutely amazing! You inspired me to such an extent that now that I am 14 years old I have already set myself a goal... He wants to be as good and high-ranking cosplayer as you are! It's a really wonderful feeling to be able to look at your costume making processes. And although I've been a cosplayer for 7 years, I've learned so much from you
Benni did such an amazing job with crafting the sword! From the planning to the paint and finishing 😍 3D printing is definitely NOT cheating. It’s just another method of crafting something with a different tool. It makes some aspects easier (like being able to use a form 3D modeled by someone else-work smarter, not harder lol) but it’s still not easy to execute properly. If Benni didn’t understand the process or have the skills, it wouldn’t matter who did the 3D model, bc there would have been so many more mistakes. Huge kudos to you both and hope there are more collabs with Genshin in the future! I love the game a lot and your cosplays are always top notch 😆
we did 3D printing in school and i only printed a small gecko-keychain, but it took me at least 2h to understand everything and size it correctly! so i can't imagen how difficult the sword was, really great work! :D
And he totally didn't almost break the sword in half while sanding... No no no... :D This is your first project that I actually followed from start to finish on social media, and it's so awesome to see it all come together in a video like this! I binged all of the other videos too, of course, but I was not around when you actually did those projects. You two are awesome
I made both beidou's outfit and sword last year, so it's really cool to see how you guys crafted them both! We had similar approaches on certain components and different ones on others, so it really felt like comparing notes haha. Looking forward to seeing your future builds - would love to see you guys tackle more genshin ones (especially the weapons!) 🥰
Love 3D printing, the sword get so cool and so detailed.....OMG, the time and work, also de ABS is a very dificult material to print, im having problems with it.....poor Beny, but it so nice, i think 3D printing is just another option
Great job Benni! I love watching your work. I think 3D printing is not cheating, that is exactly what cosplay is about, being creative to produce the desired look.
Benne Put so much passion blood & sweat 😓 into the crafting of this fine badass blade I love it so much Dude you’ve my respect ✊ fantastic job & yeah 3D printing so not cheating & not easy to use but the results so worth it in the end & you’re Cosplay looks fantastic Miss ❤️🖤. Kind Regards AuraKnight 👍👍.
Absolutely amazing job! It's not cheating, there's just as much planning, work, and effort that goes into making something as a print as there is in making it from any other materials. 3D is still limited right now, and this is a good show of how much time it takes just to get each piece printed correctly, then you have to put it all together - it's work. But so worth it! I want one!!!
It must feel so satisfying, after 150 hours and two weeks of printing, then who knows how long to put the finishing touches on, to finally hold that in your hands and wield it. This was brilliant. You earned yourself a sub (with the notif icon on) today. I'm looking forward to the next video of yours I watch. :)
This prop came out amazing! I can't even see the layer lines or the connection points. People who think 3d printing is cheating have never tried it because getting rid of seam lines and layer lines is so difficult!!
Amazing job as always! And I really appreciate you including the masking tape mishaps and how you fixed them. Whoever said 3D printing is "cheating" clearly has never tried it themselves. I think it's just another method to making stuff. It has it's own pros and cons, just as EVA foam does.
Benny's hard work and dedication paid off in the end. That sword looks like it could cut through a whole swarm of monsters and demons. Fantastic job! :)
The sword looks so cool like its store bought from a high end store. This makes me hope i can find someone in my country who can make weapons that look that good that im willing to pay them for it
Another reason why Beidou is one of my Most Absolute favorites, because of her weapon she uses Claymores are my Most favorite weapon in Genshin Impact He Most Certainly did an Incredibly Awesome job on this one, for Reals!!!
Incredible!!! The amount of work you and your husband put into your cosplay is amazing! I would NEVER think 3D printing is cheating. Only people who never made a 3D model or used a 3D printer would think that if they feel the need to say that. I love to learn to make a 3D model on the computer one day. I can tell it's hard especially how long it takes to print out the item! I love the team effort you two have! I can't wait for more videos!
I'm really set in my foam making ways so a 3d printer has never been on my wishlist of tools (Dremel tools and accessories are always on my list 😉) People make brilliant things with 3d printers and to me it's just another style of building with different skill sets. It's been a little disappointing that many of the foam making channels I used to watch to get ideas turned exclusively to 3d printing but you and Benny have always created wonderful things with all your materials and resources available. Even If I don't have a printer, I can still appreciate Benny's painting skills 🙂
Honestly, it takes the patience of a saint to do all the sanding that ABS requires. It's super fussy to get it right; especially in gloss black. Well done, Benni!
Benni killed it and its incredibly inspiring! I didn't think 3D printing was cheating, but when I entered a competition they docked points for components being printed (i'm assuming because I didn't make the 3d print but it could have just been that they thought it was an 'easy out')
I come from the cosplay video and I know this type of vids take a loooooooot of time but i LOVE them and we need more of your awesomeness. We need more brands to collaborate with you because seriously, what you do is so so so GREAT. Love youuuu
Für euer Krepband-Problem würde ich euch gern Bittydesign Liquid Mask empfehlen. Das könnt ihr sprühen oder pinseln und dann im Nachgang Stück für Stück abpopeln.
3d printing totally is not cheating... theres a time and place for all methods of making. personally i like to 3d print my props and get to the airbrushing and electronics part of it.. that is where my skill and creativity shine.. i love all your work!

3D printing isnt cheating. When resources are available to you, you use them, and 3D printing is just another resource. (That obviously requires a lot of skill to be able to use, too!)

Right! Like surely a sewing machine would be classed as cheating or using tools to sand, make holes and cut stuff.
The point of cosplay is to make it come to life period so I agree not cheating at all.
Benni did a great job on the build and also on his voice-over! You two are a great team!
