Made this for my son's desk. Took a couple days but it was a fun build. Modeled in Fusion 360. Cut with 6mm birch and acrylic.

My son wanted a headphone stand for his desk
So instead of buying one for like 12 bucks, of course I decided to spend two full days making one. And as I was sketching it up in Fusion I kept thinking man, it would be cool to add LEDs to this. So I did, which added some complexity to it because I had to design channels inside to route the LED strip. I'm not big on all this rgb stuff but it's for a 9 year old so, hopefully he thinks it's cool. So here's the build of the LED RGB 3D No scope 360 Headphone Stand. TM.
I used clear acrylic for the windows and I just sprayed a thin white coat of paint on top. They make semi-transparent acrylic that would have worked much better for this but I didn't have any on-hand so I tried to imitate it with some paint and I think it turned out ok.
Routing the LED strip through he channels was a little tricky but it all fits pretty well. You just have to be careful that you don't bend the strip at too sharp of an angle because the wires in the LED strip can get pinched and that will break the connection.
I'm using FCOB LEDs with this sp611e controller. The controller is super easy to set up and you can control it with a remote or an app on your phone.
