    Overpriced pile of nonsense that is at least 3yrs too late to market. Just like their wheels they are late to the party and have lost their market share as a result, new players in the market who sell more interesting better or equal quality kit at cheaper prices, who had literally several years to establish themselves now. I take no pleasure saying that, I have been a loyal Thrustmaster customer since the 90's !!! They got lazy and they got complacent !

    • @nemisis_wolf
      @nemisis_wolf ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Got to agree on all of these points. They still seem to think they are the only ones in the high end market and thier latest kit falls far short of more higher end but cheaper competitors

    • @alexsp7086
      @alexsp7086 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You think too much.
      This is the same price as a wing wing. It’s actually better if you’re just going to use it for the viper, the throttle handle and its buttons are better than the wing wings. Having sat in a real viper and owning the wing wing too, I find this thrustmaster model better and authentic.
      Both throttles are great but both feel practically the-same kind of.
      No other party apart from wing wing is making a decent viper throttle for the majority.
      Even thrustmasters warthog throttle is still good.
      Where thrustmaster is behind is in the stick base department.
      Sorry but why would you think this needs to be cheaper?
      It’s 300 euro, same like nearly every where else, people need to get paid monthly in these companies.
      Why is the internet full of people that think these things from these companies need to be cheaper, as though they are made by some lifeless robot in a factory producing things for free.

  • @nemisis_wolf
    @nemisis_wolf ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Might be a replica but it looks like a toy and as already stated by many it's way overpriced. For that price you can buy winwing f-16EX throttle Irion 2 base AND thier F16-EX grip and orion stick base as a Combo I think trustless still think they are the best of the best. They used to be but they are no longer top of the pile with no competition. Winwing, Virpil and VKB are all much more price competitive high quality options.
    If it was cheaper and didn't look so much like a toy they would have a good product but it fails on looks and price.
    ThrustMaster need to have a good long look at the current market place and realistically place themselves in it cause they still seem to think there is no other competition.

  • @TrevorCokley
    @TrevorCokley ปีที่แล้ว +19

    That looks awesome, but it doesn't seem to compete with WinWing's price point for something extremely similar.
    If it was cheaper, then hell yeah, but $500 is a lot to ask for.

      Why did Winwing put a 4-way switch on the MANRNG knob? A number of reviews, and even by my eye, that primary/normal control for the F-16 is considerably more difficult to use because there are 4 extra controls.

    • @jacob9ist
      @jacob9ist ปีที่แล้ว +1

  • @PassportBrosBusinessClass

    I'll stick with my Logitech X56. I typically play as the FA-18. Lock the twin throttle together and you can pretend it's single engine for the F-16 or the F-35.

  • @RafaPolit
    @RafaPolit ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I see no mention on the choice of buttons to include in the base. Do you think those are the “best” things you would bind? How many times in flight do you change the CMS program? Or turn off chaff or flare? How often do you change from cat I to cat III? Obviously you can bind them to different things, but seems like a missed opportunity, even if you are only flying the F-16! As soon as you include other frames into the mix, this just falls apart. So, unless you only fly the F-16, and have a button for every single thing in the cockpit, this seems like a very niche and limited device. Hard pass from me as well. Even if it cost half of what it is, it would be hard to justify… with tat price tag? No way!

    • @jacob9ist
      @jacob9ist ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You thought paying $560 for a limited and toy looking throttle was a better option than a similar and ultimately functionally 'the same' thing, was a better buy than a cheaper and higher quality option for $320?
      Homeboy got finnessed.

    • @JT-or1on
      @JT-or1on ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jacob9istwell, it’s not released yet so there is no way you can judge if Winwing is an ‘higher quality option’. For me at least, it seems not. Because Ww does not have authorization by US Air Force. Look closer to compare and you will see. Ww is not1:1 replication. I look for simulation, not simple Game controller. For me of cause.

    • @jacob9ist
      @jacob9ist ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JT-or1on Doesn't take a double-take to look at something, see that it looks toy-like, less buttons and switches, has less functionality, and is ultimately overpriced.
      The air-force spends money on anything that they can justify spending money on, using that as a marketing point to gaslight yourself into a bad financial decision isn't a proper point to argue at all.
      Hey, your money though, enjoy the $560, non swappable, trash.

    • @JT-or1on
      @JT-or1on ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jacob9istthat’s exactly what I was talking about. Some people choose functionality over realism. A game controller with more bottom over replication. But unfortunately I am not that type of person. It’s very much of a personal choice. I just don’t like how WW’s bare wire was designed. It could be as good, but just not my type. If you really have problem with TM I won’t stop you to choose other option anyway. Ww is not the only solution. At least for me man

  • @EbonySeraphim
    @EbonySeraphim ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Though it seems like a money grab to only have the LG and emergency stores jettison in the upper section of the panel, there is a reason for it. If your throttle is sitting at desk height (which many of us do because we have a multipurpose desk and chair), then buttons in front of the throttle grip are very hard to reach and pretty annoying to use in flight. They may even be annoying to use during startup. I use Virpil CM3 now and by design, they put nothing back there and I love it. It may not be a design that suits everyone, but it has a reason that isn't as shallow as the hate people have for Thrustmaster.
    I also have a Virpil CP in front of my throttle, and it has to be a minimum distance in front of it to comfortably clear the throttle + finger lifts moving forward, and a bit more to access the lowest row of switches and buttons cleanly. I know we say "more buttons is better" in flight simming, but there are limits and we forget that DCS has a epic modifier system. You really shouldn't be running out of controls.

    Looks solid but it looks like a solid piece of shit. It doesn’t mimick the actual panel, just has some random switches and knobs for random things. I wish it was a layout of the actual paneL, pretty much everything from ECM forward. And wtf is with the stupid LED lights? That’s just a total waste of space. IMO, no way I’m spending that much for something like that. I’ll be sticking with my warthog

      Do not look into the STECS.
      Look into the winwing lineup and see what you think of their f-16ex stick, f-15EX throttle..
      Then discover you can get a whole new hotas that is considered at the 'high end' for $420 right now.
      Then compare a stecs and gladiator NXT, which is high-mid, for $444.
