    The clearest sign of flagrant bias towards Jordan, besides the game announcers never having a word to say about awful officiating, is how late most shooting foul calls were on Jordan. It's almost as if the referees were waiting to see if his shots went in before making a decision at times when he was playing. Especially if he was having a bad night shooting.

    It was amusing to me how the media blew up when Kobe Bryant said that McGrady, not Jordan, was the toughest player he ever had to guard. Which wasn't very surprising given how beastly McGrady was. A lot of the reason McGrady never got as hyped as other superstars is because he wasn't a heralded player in high school, didn't go to college and didn't play on a big market team. There wasn't any pre-established buzz for him to take to his small market so he went under the radar. By the time he played his way to notoriety his body began to break down.

    My theory as to why this stuff is spread out now is because of the internet. They couldn't get away with blatantly fixing it for one guy anymore, so they subtly spread it out across the league.
    It's also hilarious how many Jordan worshippers there are on the internet. Even with all the rigging in his favor, he still takes a backseat to players like Wilt Chamberlain. I don't remember the exact quote, but Wilt said something like this: "When they start changing the rules to try to stop you, that's when you know you're good. All the rule changes I've seen have been to help you (Jordan)."

Magic, kareem, bird, isaiah were all retired when he started winning and he got 20 plus free throws on any given bad night. Just terrible. Basketball is a joke but as far as talent and player wise Kareem, Magic, James are all ahead of this inflated MJ... Free throw king can't get near him, Most of them calls guys didn't even touch him. The 93 Knicks ECF game was horrendous they must have hacked the knicks 10 times in the last couple of seconds while jordan got away with charges and defensive penalties and got whistles for even trying to guard him. LeBron just had a podcast. In this podcast, he delivered less than 100 percent praise for Jordan. The media and people on social media reacted predictably. Stephen A. Smith did his usual "Blasphemous" line. The thing is, LeBron was not wrong, but anything that's less than absolute praise is cause for Jordan defense.

      I think it's ironic that Stephen A Smith uses the word "blasphemous" when someone "slanders" the holy being that is Michael Jordan, because I believe that's exactly how you described what the media has done to Jordan in your first Jordan video: that he's a god. Blasphemous is almost always used in a religious sense, and his usage of it, intentional or unintentional, suggests that Jordan is some sort of god.

    I don't think they are gonna mention all those phantom fouls on "The Last Dickriding" sorry Dance. The timing of this documentary is quite suspicious. Just on a year where LeBron was on route to win another championship and everyone is locked down at home, perfect so we are all reminded that Jordan is the greatest ever and no one will challenge him.
    I don't even like LeBron but it is what it is. Jordan is one of the greatest of all time but the media portrays him as a superhero, why they don't tell it like it is? He needed 2 all time greats, a great coach, a good supporting cast plus obvious referee aid to win all his titles. In the end Basketball is a TEAM sport and teams win championships, hero ball (80s MJ) may win a playoff series but never championships.
    I just saw the last 2 episodes this Monday and THAT play in the 1993 playoff against the Knicks is a perfect defensive manouver according to them... the bias is off the charts. Knicks were robbed of a finals appearence in 1993

    Second 3 peat jordan ( 96 - 98 ) at ages 33 , 34 and 35 is interesting and those 3 years add a ton of credibility to your claims.... he routinely took plays off on defense , rarely guarded the opposing teams best player AND got more calls then at any point in his career but his numbers and level of play on both sides of the ball were still well below his peak.... I wonder what his numbers would of really been if he wasn't as coddled and protected during those years.... and I watch lebron at 33 and marvel at someone with his age can lead the league in minutes , remain healthy , deal with subpar coaching & ownership , inconsistent play from teammates and be so potent and efficient on both sides of the ball I really question the mental capacity of someone saying jordan is a better player I truly don't see it....

      TVG EBT Not really. First off, he didn't play when he was 35 (he was already retired by then).
      Nitpicking aside, he did NOT get more calls during the second 3-Peat than any other point in his career. During the 3-Peat era he averaged 8.0 (1996), 7.0 (1997), and 8.8 (1998) FTA. His earlier years saw him average 9.1 (1985), 11.9 (1987), 10.5 (1988), 9.8 (1989), 8.5 (1990), and 8.2 (1991) FTA.
      Even in the playoffs, he averaged 13 to 14 FTA in his earlier years while only averaging around 10 during the second 3-Peat.

      You're confusing number of free throws with number of calls. Sheer number of free throws doesn't tell you how many calls he got. Many if not most fouls are non-shooting. It's not the sheer number of free throws that shows fixed officiating, it's number of calls vs how many times he was actually fouled. If you get fouled ten times and shoot 10 free throws, that would be OK. But if you get fouled once yet the referees call 8 fouls and give you 8 free throws, that's fewer free throws in sheer number but the officiating is crooked. 1998 Jordan was a jump shooter who defenders didn't foul because they didn't have to, yet they got called for fouls anyway to feed Jordan unearned free throws.

As a Knicks fan, that series was brutal...Knicks had it all going in the right direction and then that travesty of a game happened. During those years, my college friends and I would say that, when the Knicks played Chicago, Rivers, Starks, Mason and Oakley would all be assessed fouls against Jordan before they got off the bus. • @jeffreyknopf8959
    @jeffreyknopf8959 4 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    This was all David Stern doing!!!, from 1984 to 1990 Michael Jordan was not getting those special treatment calls like he did in 1991 to 1998 where he and his team won 6 NBA titles. To me the 70s & 80s were the GOLDEN YEARS of the NBA, where it was physical & FAIRLY OFFICIATED!!!, even Doctor J who was kinda like Jordan was NOT getting those special treatment calls from the Refs like MJ did. I really believed when Magic and Bird retired & the Bad Boy Detroit Piston teams was being too rough and dirty against their opponents especially against Michael Jordan and the Bulls winning 2 titles, David Stern needed a SuperStar to carry the NBA to new heights domestically and globally, especially after the drug- infested 70s & mid 80s and fighting that hampered the ratings of the NBA for a long time. So David Stern added new RULES to protect Michael Jordan, starting in 1991- Flagrant foul was added, then a couple years later- no hand checking added, after Jordan came back from retirement in 1996,-Refs started calling automatic fouls everytime Jordan drives through a crowded paint and initiated contact to his opponents. ( Admitted by ex-ref Tim Donaghy, who testified in court by the FBI) all these new rules and special treatment for Michael Jordan that David Stern implemented in the 90s, help Jordan and the Bulls to win 6 titles, but it also gradually made the NBA soft over the years, and maybe the “Malice in the Palace” in 2004, was the nail in the coffin for today’s NBA being soft, but remember it started with David Stern in the beginning of 1991, implementing NEW RULES, & special treatment from the Refs to PROTECT Michael Jordan!!!

    • @davelouie131
      @davelouie131 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Jordan in the late nineties wasn’t that athletic, especially if you’re talking about in terms of today’s game. I’m sorry I watched footage of MJ in the late Nineties and to me it seems like Scottie Pippen was in better shape, he to me had a better Vertical leap than Jordan in the late 90s, he was a better in game dunker than Michael Jordan in the late 90s, Scottie to me was a better on ball defender, he guarded the best player, and Scottie was a far superior 3pt shooter than Jordan, and ran the point better than Jordan, now look at the load Scottie took off of Jordan. So all Jordan really had to do is jack up shots and score because Rodman took care of the rebounds. So Jordan pretty much was like Kevin Durant on the Warriors, but you can make the case offensively Kevin Durant did it better than Jordan against better competition. I was felt that Kobe in 2009-2010 look better than 1998 Michael Jordan, Kobe shot against much tougher defenses, Kobe seem to be in better condition than Jordan in 98, Kobe finish better than Jordan on tougher defenses, Kobe was better at getting a And 1 than Jordan, it seems that Kobe at times got lesser calls than Jordan, especially against the Spurs in 2008 in game 5. Kobe at times even look stronger, Kobe was also a better in game dunker than Jordan. Athletically, Jordan actually still seem more athletic but Kobe seems to be quicker with his moves. Now let’s compare 2017-2018 Lebron to 1998 Jordan, Lebron seem be way more athletic and in way better condition, Lebron finish way better on contact, Lebron obviously appears to be way stronger with a higher b ball IQ. Lebron does a better job of making sure his teams are involved because he knows one man scoring will not defeat a great team, Lebron also get more And 1. Lebron seems to be more faster even though he’s bigger and seems to jump much higher. Lebron also playing fast paced teams in year 15 compared to the slow paced they in Jordan 1998 season, which this slow paced style of late 90s basketball really benefited Jordan. Coaches complain during this time as they also made Illegal defense rule even stricter during this time. They kinda knew this was put in place to benefit Jordan. Now Jordan in 98 in year 12 actually was still a great player but he’s just wasn’t on the level of Kobe year 13 and not better than Lebrons year 15. In 98, Jordan was pretty much on a 90s Warriors team, the teams that Jordan faced in the finals in the 90s was not that deep and many teams in the 90s had bad benches probably because of the Expansions Team’s. Jordan seems to not have taken good care of his body, that was evident in the 98 finals as you seen Jordan sweating heavily in a SLOW pace 90s style game with no Zone Defense. But in The Last Dance Doc you can hear Jordan say he drunk 2 Beers 🍺 on the morning of a the 98 finals game, in my opinion this explains the flu game pizza 🍕&🥃 and Jordan sluggish athletic decline. Jordan is the GOAT 🐐 and their is no denying that, but his Goat years was from 84 to 93. When he came back and got swept by Orlando, the Bulls knew Athletically Jordan wasn’t the same, so he can’t carry them like he did years before even though this was his 9th season. He didn’t take great care of his body like today’s athletes and let’s face their weren’t too many athletes in Jordan era, yeah you had Dominique and Clyde but by this time they weren’t no where near Jordan level, but Scottie was still pretty athletic. So the Bulls front office did something good and they basically built up a team that would take the load off Jordan and only allow him to score mainly, this help him 3pest once again and Scottie was more than MJ Batman during this time, I feel like Scottie really be honest when he says that Kobe and Lebron are better then MJ, but what Scottie fails to forget is the first 3peat through 1990-1993 back when Scottie was a Batman. That version of Jordan was the Goat 🐐 hands down 🤗😤.

    Might get too blatant if the bulls win 4,5,6+ in a row, especially with all the official help, so this allows a little break without tainting MJs rep at all.
    Also adds to the mystique of the legend as he walks away after realizing perfection, only to come back and do it all over again right away, solidifying his dominance.

      TheRiggedBA I got into a debate with a guy a few days ago about the Mj era to the modern 2000--present era. • @TheRiggedBA
      @TheRiggedBA  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Daunte
      Well in a weird way that's partly true. Outside of Jordan games, the league was pretty decently officiated back then and much more competitive. Players used to kill themselves trying to win because they actually thought it was real. Now? They just rig the whole playoffs and so many players know it's rigged now that they don't really try as hard anymore. That's why I think 90s NBA was much, much better than today in terms of quality. I mean, you knew they were going to fix it for Jordan every year and that sucked. But non-Jordan games were awesome. You just accepted
      Jordan games for the sham that they were and enjoyed the rest.
      But yeah, in terms of Jordan specifically, Jordanites are lying to themselves about how hard Jordan supposedly had it. Kobe and LeBron could only wish they got the level of assistance and protection Jordan got. You weren't even allowed to compete against Jordan, much less win against him. If you posed any kind of threat to MJ the referees would eliminate you for him. Jordan's closest match back then was Clyde Drexler, and in a 6 game Finals the referees fouled him out in 2 games and gave him 5 fouls in another. No challenge allowed.
      Kobe and LeBron may have their share of help form fixed games, but nothing like Jordan and they also are allowed to be challenged and beaten quite often.

    let me explain this, the fact that you are allowed to hit someone hard and not get thrown out of the game is 1 Point, the fact that you are allowed to hand check is a second point, however this video is 100% correct. I saw a call in New York City where starts was three feet from Michael Jordan and they call a reach-in foul and on the replay even the commentators were laughing. LeBron James just got elbowed in the face in the Indiana game and blood started squishing out of his head and he got clobbered. The NBA underneath the basket today is so much more physical, because they're trying to increase players to shoot 3-pointers, and decrease people from going to the hoop. why? Because free throws lower TV ratings, and the corporate Masters want to discourage the players from going to the hoop. it's so obvious that the officials are taking orders from the corporate Masters who are the sponsors of this game. the players are even getting knocked out and they're not even calling could. TheRiggedBA, I really think the first indication of the league "punishing" the Knicks for challenging the Jordan machine came in Game 7 of the 1992 series. Ewing in foul trouble, Jordan's defenders Wilkins and Starks in foul trouble, and openly stating the obvious treatment towards Jordan compared to the previous games.
    "When we're allowed to play our game, we can take anybody, including the Bulls. They were calling them close and quick. When they're doing that, it's hard to get a feel for him. I think the refs were listening to the image the Bulls had created." -Gerald Wilkins after Game 7

    • @TheRiggedBA
      @TheRiggedBA  10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The ironic thing about that game is that it seemed like the Knicks themselves had already let the negative press get in their heads and didn't play their physical defense hardly at all. Yet despite playing relatively mild D, Starks and Wilkins still ended up being given nearly two disqualifications' worth of foul calls against them anyway. The referees weren't allowing any defense against Jordan at all, mild or otherwise. When even Bruce Blitz admits the referees were fixing the game for Jordan to win, you know it's bad.

    • @jaranarm
      @jaranarm 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      TheRiggedBA Bruce is from Chicago like me, but I think his cultist fanaticism got the best/worst of him. Even I know that in 92 and 93 the Knicks were screwed over by the officiating to help Jordan. And Jordan's overrated-ness was exposed in 94 when Pippen without Jordan pushed the Knicks to 7 games only to get robbed because of that bogus Hue Hollins call. The Pippen-led Bulls also held the Knicks to a lower scoring average than the previous year with Jordan. And notice New York's defenders were not put in foul trouble much during that series and were allowed to play their defense more.

    Much more interesting is really game 4. You have to see what Cartwright was allowed to do to Ewing in the post. The announcers slobbered all over Cartwright's supposedly magic or unique ability to drive the much stronger and more athletic Ewing outside the post. What they ignore is that he was allowed to stick his fist in Ewing's ass without a call. Game 1 in 1992, the refs REALLY wanted to give to the Bulls, to the point where Ewing was shoved to the floor with no call. The Knicks won that game by 4, but should have won it by 14.

    Still think MJ is the greatest, but those where a lot of phantom calls with Drexler. If it had been ref'd more fairly, I think the Blazer-Bulls series goes 7 games. This might have been why Isaiah walked off the court after the Bulls beat the Pistons in 91. It was somewhat surprising they 'suddenly' sweep the Pistons. Also, in the Laker series, if you notice, Worthy and Scott both missed game 5 with injuries. Looking back, I, thought that was a league directive to make sure MJ got that title.

      @@TheRiggedBA You didn't mention the most obvious case for rigging. In '95, Jordan's Bulls lose due to a lack of interior defense and rebounding. Stern couldn't let that continue, so mysteriously, the Spurs complete the most irrational trade in league history, gifting the premier interior defender and rebounder in the league to the Bulls for a 3rd string center. The Bulls became the perennial favorite for three years. 95 is blamed on "rust", and the official story of the Rodman trade is that Rodman's antics were too much for the Spurs, thought his respect for MJ kept him under control. (Never mind that Rodman kept up the same behavior as a Bull and, having thrashed MJ in the postseason, probably respected him less than anyone left in the game.)
      But it gets better. A year after the Spurs immense show of MJ generosity, the league and Stern sit idly by while the Spurs refuse to play the Admiral (even after he got healthy) and blatantly threw the season to win the Tim Duncan sweepstakes. Who gets to be the first team to win after Jordan's second dynasty? The San Antonio Spurs of course.

    Jordan had been the best NBA player for the most part of his career, that's a fact, so some people should stop hating like little kids.
    It's also a well known fact though that referees helped him and his team become virtually unbeatable. I remember Magic Johnson during a photo session with Jordan and Larry Bird at the 1992 Olympic Games saying 'don't get to close to him or they'll call it a foul'. Funny and true.

    Today as everyone analyzes the game and it’s players, we often hear about how important efficiency is, not just volume. It’s why Westbrook, I think fairly, isn’t considered to be as great as simply his counting numbers would make you think. Thinks like effective field goal percentage are used to get a more accurate depiction of how effective of a scorer a player is. While we still look at simple FG percent, it really isn’t used as much when discussing how great a player is. It is DEFINITELY still discussed, but for example think of James Harden. We have all now been educated on how efficient of a player Harden truly is. If we only look at his shooting percentages such as FG AND 3FG, we see that he’s typically only a 44 percent FG shooter and 36 percent 3 point shooter. While these aren’t atrocious, they clearly aren’t, on their own, noteworthy. Luckily, we have more advanced analytical metrics to discover the true effectiveness of a player like harden. We can look at his eFG percent and true shooting percent to see just how much scoring value a player like Harden gives you with his shot attempts. The same with Steph Curry. While it’s clear that his FG and 3FG percentages themselves are outstanding, when you look at his advanced shooting numbers you get an even better context of how all time amazing he is as a scorer. As many of the best basketball minds will tell you: increased volume COUPLED with increased efficiency? That is true greatness. Volume and low efficiency? Not too special. Low volume and high efficiency? Solid, but not game changing by itself.
    Why then, do all of these analysts refuse to use this same thinking when we discuss Michal Jordan? Or when he is compared to LeBron James? Why isn’t Westbrook compared to Jordan more? No no, not because of the feigned “intensity” Russell “always” plays with( on one end...) but because of the way that their usage rate and number of shots attempts has a greater impact on their counting numbers than efficiency does. Of course Jordan was a better 2 point shooter than Westbrook, but it is fair to compare the two to some degree, especially if we look at Westbrook’s best seasons.
    Today’s league average eFG: .529
    Jordans career eFG: .509
    LeBron career eFG: .541
    Jordan eFG in age 35 season, 97/98: .473
    Yes, again, Michael Jordan in his final year with the bulls, when he was still head and shoulders above the field, had an effective FG percentage of 47 percent.
    Lebron has a better career FG percent, 3 point FG percent, 2 point FG percent, eFG percent, AND, despite being a worse FT shooter than Jordan, despite Jordan getting to the line whenever anyone was close to him, LeBron STILL has a better true shooting percentage than Jordan as well( if you understand what eFG and true shooting is, you understand why included the info about FTs when discussing true shooting between the two)
    With all of these facts being accurate, go check for yourself if you would like to, why is it always treated as a foregone conclusion that Jordan was the “better” scorer than LeBron? Everyone who is following basketball today KNOWS for a fact that we do not consider the players who score the MOST as automatically being the BEST scorers. If you deny that, you are lying to yourself. Are the players who average the most points sometimes considered the “best” scorer in the league? Yes! But it’s not automatically synonymous. With all of this considered, I think it’s fair and objective and conclude that LeBron James is a BETTER, more effective/efficient high level scorer than Michael Jordan. While many can come up with generalized and subjective arguments, using statements that don’t actually have a factual basis, as to why Jordan is the “better” scorer, I honestly can’t come up with any myself. Neither of the two are my personal favorite players, John Wall, Baron Davis, Young Dwyane Wade, De’aaron Fox, Celtics Rajon Rondo, Rockets Steve Francis, Allen Iverson, #8 Kobe Bryant, and many others have been some of my personal favorites, and a lot of what I pointed out about scoring can be held against many of these players. My personal opinions does not play a factor in why I can’t help but conclude that LEBron is the better scorer. I’m not sure what I’m missing. I like using facts, numbers, game logs, box scores, etc, to form my opinions. That way it doesn’t feel like MY opinion, rather it is simply the TRUTH. Or at least that is my goal. I can’t help but feel that soooooooo many individual’s opinions on who they think is better, etc, is entirely based on THEM, and how a player relates to THEM. Perhaps they have some great memories to when THEY first saw said player, and when THEY decided said player was the best ever because THEY had never seen someone make the play they just saw said player make on NBA on NBC on Sunday afternoon. That’s all and well! Those memories should be cherished!!! But I don’t believe that that type of opinion is worth entertaining seriously

      The only thing that I would look into for your stats is what the average league eFG was when Jordan was playing. That would be a more accurate depiction of his shooting as it takes into account how the game was played in that era.

      @@vinnym6206 totally Vinny! You are right! And while I didn’t avergae of all of the eFgs from jordans career, he WAS higher than league avergae. He was not, over the course of his career, as much higher year by year than LeBron was, but you do bring up a pair point.
      However, consider this: while of course there are SO many differences from era to era, what is the ONE thing that is the only legit constant variable in comparing the two players? It is: they both played the same game, that being basketball. They both played on the same size court with the same size rims etc. You see, I did give Jordan a break with his eFG because remember, if not for when the league moved the line in, he would have continued to be a terrible 3 point shooter. As you know, 3 point shooting can greatly impact eFG. just so you know, though, the reason why lebrons eFG is so good is not just cuZ he has become a solid/above average/average 3 point shooter, but it is because his 2 point FG shooting is just THAT good. Most players, if they have a great eFG it is becusdr they were great 3 shooters. 33 percent from 3 is the same as 50 percent from 2...so it’s much easier/common for a player to become a 33 plus percent 3 point shooter than. Is to become a 50 plus percent shooter on all 2s...but while bron did get above 33 from 3, he was welllll above 50 from 2 and that is what is so impressive and really truly helps his eFG. Also, I know everyone talks about how if Jordan played today when everyone shoots so many 3s he would automatically be good at shooting 3s, right? Well...yes over the last 5/7 years 3 point shooting has gone wild...but prior to that it wasn’t that much different in the 2000s than it was for a good chunk of Jordan’s era...and no matter what team 3 point numenrs were, we CANNOT just forget or pretend there weren’t still a good number of players who could really knock down the 3 when Jordan played! So it wasn’t like no one realized how great it was if a player could hit 3s! Reggie and Dennis and glen rice and others etc etc! Guys shooting over 5 3s a game and it leading to a lot of personal and team success! Soooo if Jordan simply could automatically just become a great 3 point shooter today...why didn’t he back then?? He saw how effective the shot was for players...but he still sucked at it, you know? All I’m saying is that IF Jordan could so easily become a good 3 point shooter...why didn’t he? You know? Yes today everyone shoots so many 3s, but if Jordan was so great and so smart he should have been able to become a better 3 point shooter if he could have. Idk that’s how I see it. He didn’t play in the 60s!! And look at it this way: when the line was MOVED IN, and made EASIER for Jordan, then he started shooting a lot more and utilizing the shot!! So clearly he knew it was a good shot! BUT the truth is he just wasn’t a good shooter from the distance it was at before it was moved in and where it is at today. Right? Am I missing something? YES I understand that you can say that if he played today he would have worked even harder on his 3 point shot because you “have” to be able to shoot the 3 today..but if that is the case, why do we still see players today who are never able to become good 3 point shooters, you know? Even players who have good mid range! Some of the players with GREAT mid games just aren’t able to become great 3 point shooters. I mean apmost all of kobes career was after Jordan and his career 32 from 3 will tell you that clearly all great mid range shooters can’t alwyas become great from 3! Kobe wanted to! He had years taking a crap ton! But he never became a great 3 point shooter. Idk man. I’m not trying to be biased at all. I care way more about getting to the truth than I do about being right. I’ll admit I really do have an issue with MJ being such a bad person and so many people defending him. I honestly don’t care who the best player is, I just cNt stand people projecting him to be perfect becusdr of what he means to them and because he likely validates them and their actions. Think, and sorry if you don’t care for psychology and sociology, but, if you are a man who was once at a crossroads in life growing up, and you didn’t know if it was more important to have morals and integrity and be a good person, OR if winning and proving you were better than every other man was what you should strive for, and you come across Jordan, and it’s revealed that he’s a shit person BUT you see that he is glorified none the less because he WOn, don’t you think that might make you personally dependent on Mj being seen in a certain light??
      Some people despise when anyone brings psychology into sports debates. Even if I were to tell them that I am actually qualified to delve into that topic, they don’t care. So many men are afraid to dig deep into the psyche, but I’ll tell you what, it legit blew my mind when I first decided to stop living with repression and insecurity and just try to find the truth and let it all out...it blew my mind honestly..how many things, even who people love as sports icons, can be explained in a psychological manner

As I said elsewhere on here I always got crap in the 90’s when I said the game was rigged as MJ got all the superstar calls. I felt like they did that with Kobe too, but to a lesser extent (and I’m keeping in mind their series with the Kings). I’m not old enough to know how the 70’s and 80’s were, but I doubt it was like the 90’s in terms of straight up favoritism. They still do it with Lebron, but he’s such a physical freak and he recruits other superstars that he honestly doesn’t even need their help. I think that MJ probably would have won a championship or two without the refs help, but not six. He’s a legit hall of famer, but not “the best of all time.” I don’t really like the title being applied to anyone, because as stated before the game changes so frequently and people build on things from previous generations, and it’s in some ways disrespectful to the greats that played early on that played in new ways that allowed others after them to flourish.

      @@vinnym6206 yes I read that comment you mentioned! I loved it. And yeah man, thanks for your comment here. Totally. While I am not old enough to have seen those eras either or even most of the 90s, I am legit like OCD and sports is soemtbint I can really sink my teeth into and now that we have TH-cam I have been able to literally go back and watch actual games and that is when I was able to figure out that what people were saying about Jordan just is not true. It always felt fishy to me as it is, I was honestly led on this journey of discovery by the bad feeling I got when watching Jordan footage of him speaking. It just seemed like a bad man. So I wanted to know if that had nothing to do with how great he was, or if the reason I was feeling this terrible energy from him had something to do with the inauthenticity of his career narrative, and as it turns out, YES, a lot of the narrative is total bull crap and entirely manufactured and fabricated to some degree! While I do go into things with a proposed hypothesis in my mind, my goal is ALWAYS to get the truth, not to prove myself right. I’ve come to enjoy being proven wrong because that just means that I have learned something! You know? But yea, all of your points are totally valid from what I have been able to gather through extensive research. It’s simply silly to me when people will say “you didn’t grow up watching him so you don’t know” as if simply seeing a game live on TV rather than the exact same game years later recorded somehow makes your opinions more valid? You know? I actually think it can often be the opposite. If you were someone who fell in love with the game becusdr of what you saw from Jordan live, especially before your Brain was matured, so basically you weren’t even aware of things such as his opponents freaking out at the refs for basically handing MJ an extra 10 points or handing him the game with a pathetic call, you know, kids just ain’t looking for those things and they also aren’t reading the articles that are critiquing him. So I honestly think that leads to sooo much bias. These people have such a personal emotional attachment to their growing up with MJ so they aren’t able to look at it objectively. And then obviously as these videos point out, we just have too much data and testimony to confirm all of the things that benefitted Jordan we just can’t deny it! I truly believe anyone who isn’t biased will feel the way you do if they are honest: Jordan without the leagues help and basically cheating by the refs STILL would have been a HOFer. Still would have been a great scorer. And I think it’s possible that since he still would have had Phil and Scottie and those elite TEAMS around him, he still would have won at least 1 or 2 rings. Exactly what you said. But he is NOT even close to the clear goat. I’m sorry but with all of the things David stern did to impact his career, like, NO. That is just simply not goat worthy. I also agree with what you said, I don’t like to label anyone the best ever. I will say when soemone ISNT, but that is also because it’s not really possible to find PROOF like factual PROoF that says someone is the best. For all the reasons you said, the league changes so much in so many differnet ways, some things get harder to do some get easier some get harder and easier in different ways ahhhh! It’s just too much! Especially for people like us who are just trying to be objective, we know that in a scientist/fact proving type way, there is no all time goat. And comparing across eras it’s just like NO. Just as you said. And I totally get what you mean as it being a disrespect as well.
      It’s ironic in a way. I am such a big proponent of just appreciating all of these human beings for their amazing careers. Not being haters all the time. BUT, that being said, I do end up coming off like a hater with Jordan. It’s just becusdr with him I feel like it’s the exact opposite of how it is with basically everyone else. Everyone else gets like zero respect relative to what they actually deserve, while Jordan gets like extra exponential respect and credit relative to what he deserves. I just want fairness and us as fans to try and be as objective as we can when discussing players careers. Now of course in terms of who we LiKE? Who OUR favorites are? That is great and totally subjective!! Heck ya! It should be! But who WE like the most has nothing to automatically do with where they rank all time ? You know?
