Don’t know why you guys didn’t think to test paper type but I myself for years have thought and even done an experiment of my own that the knicks envelope was a different card stock weight. No DOUBT you can feel the difference and it doesn’t take much if you practice and you certainly can’t tell from the naked eye. I don’t even think the “bend” is necessary or present but if it was, it could be the double affirmation should he have struggled to find the envelope.
Dry ice wouldn't have worked. Dry Ice burns at touch which is why heavy gloves are used when handling the stuff. Paper would have been way to thin to protect someone from the burn.

If you're going to attempt to re-create the event, do it exactly. There weren't 7 empty envelopes in the drum. So don't use empty envelopes in your freezer experiment. Put a piece of cardboard inside each one, including the one that sat in the freezer over night.

In 1919, the white Sox went up against the Cincinnati Reds in the World Series, with many people betting on the Sox to win it. The story goes that Jackson, along with 7 other White Sox players took money from a well known gangster to throw the World Series. However, Jackson batted .348 and had the series only home run..causing many to believe he never took the money at all. However all 8 players were found guilty, and banished from baseball.

Anyway, I think I'd enjoy this show more if also focused on sports I liked: hockey, soccer, tennis, gymnastics. There are a fair few scandals in those sports but it's Ryan's show, I get that he'd focus on sports he knows about.

I like that Zack is skeptical. This show would fall apart if he was more like Ryan, and gave credit to any theory no matter how outlandish. No hate, honestly I do like this show and the criminal version as well, it just works because there is a balance between Ryan and Zack similar to the one between Ryan and Shane.
The biggest shame would be if they fixed it and robbed the NBA of a Ewing, Wilkins dynasty. Might've changed the way we perceive the Jordan, Pippen era.

Don’t know why you guys didn’t think to test paper type but I myself for years have thought and even done an experiment of my own that the knicks envelope was a different card stock weight. No DOUBT you can feel the difference and it doesn’t take much if you practice and you certainly can’t tell from the naked eye. I don’t even think the “bend” is necessary or present but if it was, it could be the double affirmation should he have struggled to find the envelope.

Dry ice wouldn't have worked. Dry Ice burns at touch which is why heavy gloves are used when handling the stuff. Paper would have been way to thin to protect someone from the burn.

If you're going to attempt to re-create the event, do it exactly. There weren't 7 empty envelopes in the drum. So don't use empty envelopes in your freezer experiment. Put a piece of cardboard inside each one, including the one that sat in the freezer over night.
