Note: If you're going to spray brake calipers, remove the brake pad retaining clips first, they do not benefit from having coats of paint applied to them.
Looks amazing bro. I just picked up some 2015 sti wheels in mint condition for 200 bucks. Putting on my 2018 forester 2.5i 6mt with xt front bumper. Love the look.
Congrats! I’ve been a Honda/Acura for almost ten years until I bought my Forester 2015 XT three months ago. Love it! Can’t wait for the snow here in Quebec. Love your mods!
I have my 17 forester & I really enjoyed watching you doing all that I would love to see how to install a transmission cooler on the CVT it comes with please make a video about that!
Assuming you didnt know how to work on cars at all, about how much money would you guess all this would cost someone to make theirs like yours? Just a rough guess. Btw - your channel is great dude. Thanks so much for spending so much time on editing this video and all the hard work that's gone into it my dude!
Thanks dude! Oof that's hard to say. It can get very expensive if you get everything new which most of my parts were but a select few were used, saving me a few bucks. I can't really even guess because you'd be paying someone for labor. Let's say I spent about 5-7k on parts so far, then you'd be paying double that in labor for installation. Always good to be handy 😁
@@TheHumanCarJack Good point. I have a stock 09 WRX Premium with the short throw shifter, it only has 19,000 miles never abused. What would you suggest? I never did the blow off valve because it would have voided the warranty, I guess I'll think of that since I don't have too worry about the warranty anymore.
Sweet man. I’m about to pick up an 18 forester xt. I’m not a car guy really but would love a little advice on what to do to make it a little better. Already want a new exhaust and an accessport too. Any recommendations on what mods are more important than others?
I have a 2009 Subaru Forester XT that currently has a rusted out exhaust, which means I need a new one, what should I look to get along with the exhaust?
You are the best!! Please can you help me? I don't find somebody who can help me in Italy. All your job it's wonderful and your machine it's a dream for me, but now I can't change my car. I have a Subaru Forester diesel 147 cv from the 2012 type SH Type engine EE20. I removed the DpF because the exhaust stank too much and it makes too much regeneration. Do you think that a filter cat converter catalytic euro4 whit 400cell in ceramic can be good at reducing the smell? What do you think about it?
Thanks for the re-upload. I like the 13:20 film, as it denotes a quarter mile lol Here's to 2020, and your continuing quest to make the Forester, "Your Own."
UnFcknBelieveable! What's the thing at 3:39 ? Im planning on buying the Touring one - can this be done to any model? The 2018+ I believe was the lesser engine and not the 250hp.
@@TheHumanCarJack I own the same car. I live in Turkey. Modified parts are not sold here for these cars. therefore, I can not supply the parts I want to my vehicle. This is very sad.
Hey man, big fan of the channel, car and build so far. I just ordered a 2014 XT from CarMax and want to start modifying it and eventually get sponsored. I was wondering if you had any tips for a new Forester owner/builder? Keep up the good work my friend!!
Man, I’m inspired to buy me a forester.... you sir are a bad influence! LOL, funny enough, I’m from Queens, and I know about the Koeppel dealership on Northern Blvd. 🤣 I’m curious to know about the gas mileage after you got it tuned at Prime?
Love your mods. Curious if they caused any CVT or other issues. My 2017 XT lease is about to end. Original plan was buying / modding after lease and warranty ends, but a little scared by CVT longevity. Is there a particular year XT you recommend over other years. Or to stay away from? Thank you.
don't get me wrong this is sick but I can't comprehend why you wouldn't take the extra 10 minutes to just take the brake calipers off to spray paint them. That overspray though. Sick car but that one just had me scratching my head.
I gave up on my 15' FXT after a year. I just didn't like the CVT. I was stage 2 and liked it for what it was but it felt limited in terms of power possibilities.
I have so much hate for that vehicle, there are no words to express my disappointment. I blew out my first cvt transmission at 38k miles, it was warranty replaced, second one at 77k miles, and subaru denied warranty. I spent 30k on the vehicle brand new, over 15k in repairs and/or aftermarket upgrades and tuning, and was able to sell it for $13k (due to a transmission that would stall the engine at most red lights or stop signs as well as stutter at highway speeds). Also my wifes 04 outback was able to get up dirt hills that mine couldn't. Me getting walked by early 90's chevy blazer (typhoon) proves this vehicle isn't fast, and the 'exploded' strut I experienced on a fire road proves this vehicle isn't capable.
Nah mate, this is just bad luck or you prob don't know how to get that thing up a hill properly. My 17 Forester walked my aunts defender and her friends g-wagon when we went off-roading, my auntie goes offroading every weekend , been doing that for decades. In January 21 we got him up a icy and snowy hill while a hilux couldn't and slipped down constantly. We couldn't believe our eyes aswell but this thing eats hills like nothing, had no issues with the cvt at all, only once with our trailers. And the 240hp do their job just fine, it's not meant to be fast. Drove a '18 Forester with 150hp once, I was scared to step on the gas cuz it sounded like it was bouta explode at 2k rpm. THAT thing is slow but subaru did a decent job for people who want a Forester. Your description fits our 2012 Forester, an absolute catastrophe.
Jack stands work better when they are under the jacking point and under load! Exhaust install made me cringe the whole way thru! Please invest in jacks...
Liked as soon as I saw you swapping sway bars out in the snow. #keepgoing
😊
👍 1989 swapped clutch in my RS2000 in the snow.
everything was going well, until the rear spoiler...
Spoiled the car 😂
The spolier ruined it…..really
The forester is a nice mid size family SUV ,👍

Wow you did that by yourself, where did you go to school at?

Wow! respect for you🙏🙏🙏
Your forester was on a dino but we didn't see what kind of power gains you got from the engine upgrades. How much power did they give you??

DM loudpackcustoms on IG and tell em I sent you

Hey for the front bumper change out, does it only come in the red stripe? I’m doing bronze accents

Nope no issues

'04-'08 FXT's could come in manual. Would find one of these. Best FXTs hands down.
I have a 2016 xt everyone always says No when i ask about modding. Staying tuned for more inspiration.
What does the exhaust do other than sound? Not being a jerk just not a car guy
The more free-flowing the exhaust, the less back pressure you have. The less back pressure, the more power you can make.

How is the CVT holding up to the mods?
Still kicking
@@TheHumanCarJack Just about to roll over 100k with my wives 2014 XT and the only thing powerwise I've done is an AP and muffler delete.

No not at all. Different engines
The Human Car Jack it have to be an engine swap then ?
Sorry one more suggestion. Paint over any holes you drill into a panel, as you expose raw metal, and it will invite rust! Even a paint pen will work
