You are soon going to have trouble out doing yourself with subtle variation to your sweet, funny and honest delivery, maybe. But if that day ever comes we will love you even more. Wonder woman got nothin on you. Such a joy to watch. Gump is responding like a purebred stallion and you react like a proud owner/trainer having the time of your life. Your decision to do you boo, doing youtube was a boon for us all. See ya soon. Thanks again
Littoe big tip: NEVER get a Wi-Fi camera security system. Hecause creeps can hack that system and use your cameras. Always get a wired system. Much love. 😉
I like the way that your Forester's suspension set up for the curves. Look how level and stable this puppy looked as it went through the curves at 7:10.
I've had SimpliSafe for over two years now, couldn't be happier. Initial cost, monthly monitoring, ease of installation, and versatility are all spot on, can't beat it. There's really nothing not to like about their systems..
I have a 02' WRX that I am rebuilding. In the meantime I bought a 09' Forester X 5 speed for my daily. I put ISC coilovers and rear LCA's on it to lower it a little. I didn't slam it. Like you I cannot believe the difference in the handling. It is like a go-cart. Now I want to do a full STi swap. Down the rabbit hole I go.
Rocks and a tape measure works fine. When we started street racing we spray painted the starting line in the dirt, paced off the 1/4 mile and sprayed the finish line in the dirt. Close enough for us!
I used to run -0.5° camber on my daily when I was young, dumb, and autoX on the weekends. Amazing the difference a little negative camber can make. And that look on your face is making me want to do it again......
Yup, gotta love the easy brake install. My 02 Tundra front brakes are the same. I like the home security system. Mine needs refreshing. Thanks for sharing.
Its honestly always great to see your genuine reactions to performance and handling!! I end up just smiling myself watching you. Btw the gump is looking better than i expected. Turned out awesome. This is the 1st simplisafe ad ive watch thru completely on your channel. I typically skip over. Another great informative vlog.
Glad to see you're still modifying and enjoying Forrester Gump. My slightly modified 2016 FXT only made it about 32,000 miles before I put a hole in the engine block. I bieve that LSPi was to blame.
I think your "Rocks & Tape Measure" system is much more accurate than my usual 'Bout There "measuring". 😁 I'd say over 8 feet shorter on the stops is a very significant improvement. Your reaction to the improved steering response is kind of like mine when I switch from the winter tires back to the normal ones. "Woah, I forgot this car actually turns!"
Coool....sponsorships! The satisfaction on your face during those first turns says it all. Your research and work has paid off and Mr. Gump is a beast now! Congrats on a project well done....go Simplisafe!
Liked your presentation of simply safe. I've heard about it from a radio station, but you showed a few cool features my wife likes. Now, like that you did the brake upgrade. Been kicking around an upgrade for my ST.
Sarah, your cars are so clean, you dont need to worry about torquing your wheels in white shorts and a yellow top. Also you really didnt need to use gloves in this viseo at all. The brake pads change was amazing for how clean everything down there was.
Hey Sarah, Love your content and attitude. Keep the vids coming. Can I offer a small bit of advise. I am also someone who works alone in my garage a lot, with the door closed. Make sure you keep your cell phone in arms reach. If you ever get stuck you have the option to call the neighbor to help you out of a jam.
Regarding your watering eyes, people tend to select max / recycle to get the coldest air from their car's AC. Unless the unit can operate frequently by drawing in outside air mold will form in the ducts causing everything from bad odors to allergic reactions. Try selecting air from the outside for a few days and see if that helps.
Hi Sarah I think it is the first time that I see you braking a car with images from outside, in the other videos we see only images from inside braking a car with your reaction. Off course I’m talking about the breaking test 👍🏻✌🏻
Love that gap, that's how I enjoy my street car, too. I want it to be able to handle bumps without scraping. I have a Lifetime alignment at Firestone, it's saved me so much money from different wheel combinations and suspension repairs/upgrades.
Lived in tucson by Ina rd, seems like a lifetime ago, fabricating cars and hitting that back way out of the city. Quite the loop to Phoenix and back through the mountains, brings back memories ... The vast emptiness always made my wanderlust kick in and just drove as fast as possible running from ? I wish I could have met you, still runnig....nobody's perfect, but we could have had some fun
I love your OCD oh, I know a lot of people don't appreciate that much detail but I do and difficult to get people to understand why you take extra time to make things perfect
THAT is her genius. You THINK you stopped for the looks, and that you stayed for the knowledge, but really, it was the maple syrup brake pads. You must have some Canadian heritage.
Always enjoy your content! Just a little suggestion for the front wheels to be setup with abit of negative toe for better handling, as they do toe in on acceleration. Positive toe for the front is typical for a rwd. And the weight/ load of the driver does attribute to the camber setting as well since the alignment is setup in a static environment for a dynamic situation. Just my 2-bytes worth. :) again, awesome work every time 👍🏼
Everyone does their brake bed-in differently, as long as it works, go with it :) At the track I go to in Maricopa, they'll occasionally send members out on their own to bed-in their brakes on the back straight, that way it's as controlled and safe as possible :)
THANK YOU FOR NOT SLAMMING YOUR GUMP TO THE GROUND! - I saw a Honda Accord today, Beautiful, new 10th Gen, Sport touring, Manual...But the side skirts, rear bumper cover and front lip touched the ground (I hate air bags) - ruins vehicles...once you lower your car, it becomes UNDRIVEABLE! IT IS NOT COOL! IDK where this fad came from but it's horrid, the cambered out wheels, lowered to touch the ground. Almost as bad as the SUPER LOUD, fire spitting, popping aftermarket exhausts! - Always has to be something in car culture that completely goes against the whole point of enjoying cars for their main purpose...Driving...Thank you Sarah!
I'm a dyed in the wool, certified pedant, and after hours of research on brake pad bedding procedures, it all comes down to do what works for you. One small qualification I'll make is that street pads are way less picky than race compounds.
My SS Camaro book had some crazy Brake prep for track use , seemed abusive ?? I never tracked the car or did any brake prep , seemed to work just fine .
This is the way I like cars are tuned/modified. Not just another slammed car, but a car that is universal. Lowered but not slammed. Better at corners but not hard so you dont have any comfort. Love the way Forrester looks and performs right now. I'd love that my Skoda Kodiaq could drive like this. It's a cool car but lacks a bit in acceleration and needs better brakes (and better looking brakes too).
12:48 Getting your rocks off and showing your 'Yucca face'! Great channel content as always Sarah, always love your inventive way of adapting to a lack of suitable tools/equipment :)
Beautiful. Car. No, seriously, you've really turned this thing into a beast. It looks awesome, and seems like it gets down with road performance as well. Congrats.
I really like this build. I have a 09 Outback sport That I am building an overland project out of. I lived in Tucson for a few years. I really enjoy your videos. 😎🤘
I feel like you could just bring that back end up about 5mm and problem solved...and damn you, now I'm looking at Foresters! Looked like it handled great!
hey Sarah , you should take a measurement to the rear quarter wheel well and give the spring ring a turn or two to prevent any rubbing and save the new tires it only gets worse with any payload or passengers big bumps etc. till you can get the heavier duty springs you mentioned - I hope this isn't bothering you, my comments ! you defiantly have better braking also get the STI master cylinder to complete the package ! GUmP may needs some rally strips soon - go Sarah cheers ! i was thinking your getting some nice cars there .
Now I’m really rooting for you to get a shop. I want to see this manual conversion, and I also want to see tetertot get its new clutch. You Rick Sarah. Keep up the great work
Those wheels, (and stickers) look so good! Good job Gump! I also love when my own tyres get loads of stones and pebbles stuck to them, sticky tyres ftw!
I think an easier and more accurate measure of braking performance is how far forward Sarah's hair goes divided by how tiny her mouth opening gets during the "ooooooh!". Just pause the video at max value and measure with calipers on full screen setting. You are welcome!
Before the next upgrade/s on Mr. Dos, could you take him to the track and get some 0-60 & 1/4 mile times. It'd be interesting to see how it compares to stock numbers.
I'm a pedantic keyboard mechanic and I say...whatever works for you Sarah! (Well...actually I am a real mechanic by trade...work in a shop etc. there's a metric crapton of ways they say to bed in brakes...who knows that the correct procedure is even these days!)

Is that a twinkle in your eyes? Happiness is contagious ;) .
Mr. 2cents. I have wired cameras 😉. Wireless ones however are great for watching wild life 😬
I just started a job as a mechanic and porter/detailer at a classic car rental company! car girls represent ✌️✌️
Sarah, your emotional response to the results of your hard work and dedication is inspiring. You are an exceptional technician. Well done!
Your smile while driving was so worth the changes you made.
Thank You Simply Safe. Sarah: " I'm using rocks and a tape measure ". Yeah, and you still deliver GREAT content 🏁
Congrats on the sponsor. You make great videos. Love your personality.
Note to sponsors. Its very smart to sponsor Sarah.
I like the way that your Forester's suspension set up for the curves. Look how level and stable this puppy looked as it went through the curves at 7:10.
Love your time lapse music selection! The whole video was a smiley video for me...thanks, Sarah!
How to bed brakes?
Take them to dinner first.
I rub either red or white wine on the rotors and pads :)
Buy them flowers aswell
HAHAHAHA‼️

@@jimkaray Not all the time.
I used Lysol spray disinfectant, spray into the air intake,
let the blower run, no one in the car for a couple of minutes.

Love the blend between technical and personal. Your the best.
“You’re,” just sayin’
I love your OCD oh, I know a lot of people don't appreciate that much detail but I do and difficult to get people to understand why you take extra time to make things perfect
You have convinced me that the newer foresters are just as cool as the older ones. Sick wheels, sick stance, sick vid!!! do a bigger turbo?
i admit i stopped for the hot looks and stayed for the knowledge. like a fly into the trap.
THAT is her genius. You THINK you stopped for the looks, and that you stayed for the knowledge, but really, it was the maple syrup brake pads.
You must have some Canadian heritage.
Same. I was just thinking about this myself actually lol
digitalradiohacker - uh, happens Sarah is from NH (NH and VT happen to be "the maple syrup states", not just in ON and QC).
Look on your face when you reliase all your hard work has paid off, says it all. Cracking job Sarah😁
I strongly believe you need to do a track day or dirt rally with your focus your are absolute beast 💪
Love the braking test, on gump, just to see how fast it stops your hair goes forward then sits back again, dam good brakes!!!
Always enjoy your content!

The Gump is pimped out! Bravo!! Gotta love upgraded brakes and sticky tires. :-)

I just did replaced all my suspension and poly bushings , swayaway torsion bars, breaks . And I'm picking up my full rebuilt 3.5l on Wednesday.

The Forrester looks totally badass with the wheels and stance

Great demo that performance is more than just adding power. Good video
Very neat job and upgrades on the forester 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 you rock
really enjoyed the Forester videos. I didn't think I'd be into that but you've greatly improved the vehicle w/ your mods and it's been fun to watch.
Beautiful.
Car.
No, seriously, you've really turned this thing into a beast. It looks awesome, and seems like it gets down with road performance as well. Congrats.

I did some brake prep on my new Outback @ 150 miles .. 3 deer ran out in the road , I was full on @ 65 MPH .
OMG Sarah the ceramic coat on both Gump and Mr Dos is still freakin gleamin!
After millions of years those rocks finally got their five minutes of fame. Forester Gump rocks too!
Those wheels, (and stickers) look so good! Good job Gump! I also love when my own tyres get loads of stones and pebbles stuck to them, sticky tyres ftw!
Thank you Sarah for inspiring me to upgrade my 2019 Forester sport with Sti parts.
My FJ brakes were just like that. Loved replacing em. Easy!
Same type of breakpadsystem that Volvo used in the -80s 🙌 the pins rust and the spring falls apart and needs to be replaced every time🤗
I can't stop watching this video
Green brakes, green top, green light 👍🏼👍🏼💚💚💚
Sarah is so OCD that even her cars pick up all the loose rocks on the road.

Your hair levitates exponentially with every brake test. Nice!
Just love the way her hair swings forward in these brake tests that she does. Almost like negative G force indicators.
