I had a friend who told me about her book “Be a Loser” which has the same breathing technique as she describes here. I ended up trying the program in the book and lost a lot of weight. It tightened and firmed my loose areas as well.
I used to do her work out two times in a day everyday and I lost so many inches. I'm getting back on it. I can feel the difference already.this is the best out.
I tried this workout in my early 20s, and along with eating well, I lost over 40 pounds VERY quickly. Approaching my 30s and I've gained all the weight back over the years, but I'm gonna try this again with walking to reach my goal of 180.
Unfortunately people in their ignorance will not accept this it really does work and it will also lower your blood sugar as a diabetic I have personally experienced this. Go for some OD d reason I've been familiar with this woman for over 15 years and I haven't implemented her process she knows what she's talking about I think I'll get back into it
@svetlanan9642 yes she is stills alive and looking to restart an exercjse programme again (maybe bodyflex) if you search her name in youtube you can see her latest interview
What is more important than oxygen? This is great for getting you off the couch in pregnancy 🤰 just exclude the abdominal. REALLY WORKS to give you energy
Im wondering if i can start this back up, i did this many years ago, and yes it works! I lost alot of weight and inches, my question is now, i had a double lung transplant almost 2.5 years ago, would this hurt my lungs?
Hi Mel, the exercises does require you to hold your breath which I imagine will work your lungs and raise your blood pressure. I am not a medical expert, perhaps your question can be best answered by your doctor. It's best to get a doctor's clearance before doing these exercises. Good luck and I hope you get back to exercising soon!
Ambar Rodriguez there are new studies showing that fat is actually released from the body through breath. I am not sure if this actually works or not but working out the lungs and breathing exercises are not a new idea

the only warning on the videos is not to do it if you have high blood pressure, glaucoma, or are pregnant. Everyone includes those even if there is no danger. I would say this is one of the safest and most effect body sculpting exercises I've ever tried. It's also excellent for anyone with less than ideal health as the deep breathing alone will bring oxygen to your blood, which is necessary for vibrant health.
@@BrianK49 Based on poor breathing technique, try and find just one peer-reviewed published study that backs up ANY of her claims. You cannot because it doesn't exist. A little science, a full knowledge bio-mechanics, understanding the respiratory system..oh and one more thing, Ms. Childers has her students doing a full out sustained stretch(which she calls exercise)sustained stretches should only be done at the end of a workout when the muscles/body is fully warmed up and no this 'technique' is not an exercise that warms up the muscles. On that premise.
Good question. This I think came out in early 2000's. And I believe in one of her earliest videos (original Body Flex) it mentioned she was in her 40's. That was maybe 1990's. So I would say she's in her 50's? Anyone else knows, please chime in or correct me.
Not a proper exhalation, if you want to blow out the calories, you exhale by fully engaging the transverse muscle, this is diaphragmatic exhalation...no wheezing should and does not occur when done properly and it can and effectively be done standing up straight or lying down. Breath does not and should not be held, under no circumstances. How do I know this? Over four decades of a professional ballet career, trained by the late Lotte Berk(of whom all barre workouts are based), trained in Zena Rommett Floor -Barre(a technique that's been around for over 60 years)I have been trained in all the above. P.S. I was doing Pilates, given by his master at arms Romana Kryzanowska. And as far as exercises, well these would be laughable except that what she promotes can, in fact, cause or exacerbate existing health, skeletal or muscle issues.
I have taught thousands and thousands of folks and sold 50 million videos of this technique. I have spent 35 years studying about this one area......not one single person has ever complained of the issues you are talking about..... I have taught hundreds of physicians and just read the thousands of reviews....they speak for themselves. Oh by the way.....i sat on the board of directors at MUSC teaching medical university.....CARDIOVASCULAR RESEARCH INSTITUTE Medical University South Carolina....just so you know.
I just came here to get decent instruction on stomach vacuums. Great explaination!
I always come back to Body Flex because it WORKS
Great!
How long did it take to see results for you? I am only looking to shed about 15 pounds. Would results show up slower for someone like me?
Seriously?!
This workout changed my life.

Agree great breath workout too… For those of you following longevity🤷♀️
I met this woman over 30 years ago in Texas, Texas lady spa where I was a fitness instructor, lol I still practice this every now and again. Go Greer!
So did I!!! I was working there in fort Bend County TX. I’ve been practicing ever since. I was barely 18 then. Wow! Keep breathing!

Yeah, it works quick, I realize.
I do both her Body Flex and Shapely Secrets to stay flexible, firm up and get my cardio in. I wish Greer would let us know she is doing well.

This works so well for losing inches

Ambar Rodriguez the ide with this type of breathing is u dont have to diet. It fools the body into thinking u ran a mile.
