    With call of duty like warzone, how does it feel on 1440p. I’ve been meaning to get a 1440p ultrawide monitor seen your vid (great vid man) and saw it does get good fps

      Thnx, I really like using my Legion Go as a desktop PC and for desktop gaming. So much so I have shelved my macmini for my MacBook Pro. I love that the Legion Go has USB4. I use my CalDigit dock and I can quickly switch between them. Gaming was great. But you have to keep up with all of the updates: Bios, AMD, Windows. Which can slow down how fast you can get started sometimes. I can’t give you an opinion as to how it would work with an UltraWide as I don’t have one of those. Also this may change depending on how the Rog Ally X performs. But right now its the Legion Go all the way.

    I haven't tried either of those controllers so I have no real input however as a primarily console gamer the l/r top backside buttons are typically called bumpers for a reason and shaped the way they are purposely. If they were meant to be hit with the tip of your finger they would be shaped more like a typical face button or even in the way they are on the PS1 and PS2 controller. Instead they're more designed to be efficiently and reflexively bumped by your index finger even while your using the back lower buttons (triggers) whether you prefer to use your middle or index fingers for those. I'm not saying your choice in spacing is wrong so much as I'm just saying git gud noob. But seriously you should try practicing bumping the bumpers instead of giving them an intentional press.

    Quick question brother. When extended the leGO to a monitor which isn't the native 16:10 are you still able to use upscaling tech such as FSR,RSR,IG. Only saying this as I just saw a vid of a reviewer this is not possible for steam deck but maybe this is just a steam deck thing

    • @digitalmaus
      @digitalmaus  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve only used it with the Gigabyte M32U which is.a 16:9, I can’t speak for an ultra wide. In general changing my VRAM to 8GB and adjusting settings in the game (depending on the game) will get me the results and gameplay I want for the games I play. I haven’t had the need to activate FSR. What game do you play?

    • @DropTestReviews
      @DropTestReviews 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@digitalmaus for example warzone has FSR 3. Just in general extending to different aspect ratio do these upscaling methods still work?

    I want to buy an ultrawide monitor for the Legion Go. I see that you use one in vertical. So that should be fine for a primary monitor?

    • @digitalmaus
      @digitalmaus  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Actually the one in vertical isn’t an Ultra-wide. Standard Dell 27” inch 1080p

    How can I have the screen on the legion turn off while having it plugged in to a monitor. I find it distracting

    • @digitalmaus
      @digitalmaus  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      - go to windows display settings
      - duplicate your Legion Go display with the monitor you want the display on
      - you should then get an option to show only on
      - select show only on the monitor you want the display on
      - this should black out your Legion go display

    Sounds like bull to me. I had my Legion Go connected to a modest 1080p monitor that runs at 60hz max and it struggled to play games with a consistently acceptable framerate. Programs crash sometimes. The screen will go blank and do nothing until I force a restart, not that I dislike my Legion Go. I just like there has to be a bit more to how he manages to run TWO monitors on his Legion Go and still game well.

      @@digitalmaus 3 or so months. 6GB in the bios settings (they say 8GB is risky and auto generally fails to work, so most don't use it). Performance mode, 1080p (the middle resolution), max refresh rate for Lossless Scaling. I keep the options off in the AMD panel, since those seem to kill my FPS, and I tend not to use the RSR toggler in the side panel. No custom AMD drivers, since I'm hoping that Lenovo will release some with frame generation built in. Windows 11, though I was tempted to try the SteamOS clone, Bazzite sometime. Operating system optimized per guides using some debloating programs. The native sound app to boost the bass output.
      I've had really frustrating results, including a mysterious FPS drop running Yuzu, no matter what I do in TotK over 20-30 mins. It goes from 60 frame generated to a really bad 30... which is only 15. Tortoise mode, no joke!)

    • @digitalmaus

      I didn't have any luck with auto VRAM while playing Rachet and Clank or Cyberpunk either. But once I went into the Bios and set it to 8GB, Rachet and Clank and Cyberpunk worked with it. What are some of the issues that are being reported running at 8GB?
      I don't use debloating programs. I didn't make any changes to Windows other than changing the display settings.
      Also, not to insult your intelligence but the Windows display settings (res and refresh rate) matches the quick settings in the Legion Go and they match the settings in Legion Space, and within the game settings? Also you've downloaded the drivers from AMD, and Lenovo
      pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/legion-series/legion-go-8apu1/downloads/ds565497-amd-graphics-driver-for-windows-11-64-bit-legion-go-8apu1
      By the way, I'm working on a video on installing Bazzite onto my ROG Ally Z1 that I purchased open box from Best Buy. Coming after I run it for a bit...

      @@digitalmaus I didn't install the AMD drivers (just the default Legion Go options). I guess I ought to think about doing that. Still having framerates in TotK, but I've been grinding at fixing the issue now and again. I think 30fps might be all we can expect to get from that game on a Legion Go without going Bazzite or Steam OS. (They're supposed to be releasing their OS sometime, but who knows when?)
      I saw something bad about the Rog Ally. That they force you to buy their 300 extended warranty or they kill your handheld. Talk about planned obsolesce! >.
