I watched this when I was living in my tiredness (what a wonderful expression!) and remembered having heard about laughter yoga in the nineties and practicing a little. Some time later my brothers and I had our photographs taken and the photographer complained about our stiffness. So I turned myself into the tickled hyena in an instant. My brothers froze in shock. Then there was the time when a friend told me all about the sad divorce of her brother while we walked about a pond and I was listening attentively. There was a laughter group nearby so I broke into laughter when they did… I laughed with you throughout and now I wish to get out of my tiredness and dance and sing a little. Thanks for finding a Nietzsche quote I can agree with.

Yay! This is awesome. So happy that you discovered the benefits of unconditional laughter and involved your family and viewers. It truly changes lives. I use it to manage Seasonal Affective Disorder here in the Pacific Northwest.
As a Laughter Yoga Teacher, I will just say that this is not as structured as an actual Laughter Yoga/Laughter Club session, but the laughter exercises (like the shaking hands and laughing) that we do are really just a fun warm up to being able to just laugh - which we call Laughter Meditation. So if you can just laugh without them, fabulous! Many people need the exercises and group interaction to get to their real and spontaneous laughter. Western society has socialized us out of our laughter in many cases. So bravo! Very good, very good, yay! 🙌 😄

I really enjoyed your editing in this video. There were moments where what wasn't being said stood out more than the laughter. And the new list style at the end is superb. Your editing and storytelling feel fresh and bright in this one. Plus all the laughter is infectious, of course. Space baby level stuff! 😊

I also struggle with laughing loudly, and I do know why. I had a very loud, boisterous laugh as a kid, and my grandma made fun of me. I'm working on it, and I'm going to give this a try to see if it helps with healing.

I'm with you. Also you reminded me why. It was a relative who made me self conscious of my laughter at age 6. But a great teacher I had at age 15 changed that, when I let out a loud cackle he said "Lina's laughter is contagious, you can see how happy she is which makes me happy, too." It wasn't a cure-all but I remember that every time I squirm at my own laughter.

This was so great!! I did a laughing yoga class once at an actual yoga studio. About ten of us had laid down in a circle with our heads almost touching, laughing as hard as we could for ten minutes straight. It was years ago but I still think about it often. I think I was beaming for a week.

I feel like this probably is helpful for asthma! When I had Covid which really effected my lungs with every deep breath ending in coughing, my nurse said the coughing and light cardio was great cause it cleared out my lungs and didn't let fluid build up down inside them. Also some say coughing and laughing (and singing and talking) can help clear out the communication blocks of the throat chakra (the chakra symbolized by turquoise)!

When I was in grad school one of my professors brought in a therapist that does laughter work. it was the best day of any class ever.
I don't really get much benefit of laughter therapy/laughter yoga by myself... But doing it in a group it's so much more likely to turn into genuine laughter which, to me, is the best benefit. Kinda like what you talked about... Faking it just isn't the same (I never get "over that hump" by myself. The only time has been watching Skype laughter chain)... But if a bunch of people are faking it... Eventually someone's gonna real laugh at the audacity of someone's fake laugh and the real laughter is going to catch.
