Damn it’s good to see some brands are starting to respect and value your opinions enough to send you their products, good on ya. I’m still hoping Marshall give you a cut for the amount of DSL amps they’ve probably sold because of you
They won't, they'll just pat themselves on the back for being so great, and pretend that it's all them. Which is fucked up, because chop has probably moved thousands of DSLs for them.
Agreed!!! Awesome to see the channel finally getting the trust and respect it deserves. Awesome to see them send you stuff to review... Love the channel
As a friend of mine would say, that guitar is "right where it needs to be"! Love the song choices! And I love that you played 1320 too. What a killer riff that song has.
We all know the distortion is great sounding but I must say, those cleans were incredible… wow… What is the signal chain again? Whats the channel have on it? So crisp. Wow…
You guys would wig out if you could have gone to Dean HQ and place a custom order. I used to do it once a year during the D.O.A. party Elliott threw in Feb. Cherry pick my exotic wood top. Total custom shop treatment. Neck carve, fretboard everything you could imagine. Man, those were the days. Miss you big-time Elliott.
Dude, killer review!! Nice tones from that Dean!! It was an excellent video/review, so well done that I had rewatch it again!! You play guitar really well. Cheers mate!!
I actually started looking at Dean guitars after watch your video. I saw one of the Exile guitars several years ago and thought it looked really good. My birthday is coming up so I think I will get a brand new Dean Exile. Love the specs!! Keep up the great vids and tones. Love all the different riffs you play in all your videos. Your riffs span the decades of awesome bands and genres.
LC? It’s beautiful brotha!! Need a Explorer in your collection. I have the Jackson Phil Demmel Explorer signature and it’s the same color. Cheers🍺🍺🍺🍺🎸🎸😎
I've always liked dean guitars. I've got a zx and a dime from hell. Very solid built guitars. But this zero evertune and the floyd rose listed on their site look awesome. Stainless frets and fishman pickups.... looks like I'll have a 3rd dean soon.
Cool guitar !! I really like the black one with 1 pickup and hardtail. (... and Indonesian factories have upped their craftmanship. In 2021, I bought a brand new 2021 LTD M-1000 in Snow White, from the "IW" Serial Indonesian factory. And the quality + the white finish is perfect, with ZERO issue !! It's the only Indonesian guitar I own among my others, and I really love it !!)
Cool guitar, great upgrades on that, though I would love to see locking tuners (for faster string changes). I would also love to see more companies doing factory Evertune bridges. The clean tones out of those Fishman's were killer.
Very sexy guitar! I love that color. My Schecter has the same translucent Black Cherry burst finish on the flame top, and it’s absolutely gorgeous too. Furthermore, (and I REALLY didn’t want to say this), but the tones from that Fishman neck pickup sound absolutely fucking killer on the clean channel. Chimey, great clarity, and just the right amount of brightness. Don’t know if I’m quite ready to make the jump to Fishman over my EMG’s just yet though. I’ve been playing EMG’s (couple different versions) for well over a decade now, and I absolutely love them.
Great review, man! I will look into one of these this year if I end up splurging for a new guitar. Also, now I need to relearn Trapped Under Ice! Cheers.
I wish they made the red one without the evertune since i like to jump around with tunings from time to time but in person, that guitar looks really sick. I want to try the black one to see if its for me. I wonder how these guitars will handle low tunings. Dean really made something cool out of nowhere
I like the guitar itself but the inlays are too tribal-looking for my tastes. LC, I'm curious, did you use your Katana for this one? I dont see any cords plugged into the Marshalls or the Victory.
That String Gauge with that high of tuning / scale length with the EverTune bridge wont last long... I own 5 of them...Over time you will notice your 6th / 5th strings are constantly snapping at the bridge with that amount of tension. I even own a #w13071168 ML "first batch" production...I use a D'Addario XL120 set for Drop D 25.5" scale. You cant get lower tuning than A# at 25.5" scale with D'Addario NYXL 11/56. Also I keep my 6/5/4 string's "no bend" , and my 3/2/1 strings "bend".. Its insane how I never have to retune/setup my guitar until the strings die 😎🍻🤘
Nice looking and sounding guitar, question, do those fluence modern pickups have multiple voicings as well as the coil tap? I have some fluence vintage pickups in my LTD that have push pull on the volume knobs for the different voicing as well as coil tap on the tone. I’m still waiting for an opportunity to play a guitar with an evertune - I’m used to tunomatics - would take some getting used to I’m sure. Great video review - guess I might have to check out Deans pricing lol.
@@LambChopper678 either way they sound great - completely different voicing compared to the vintage Fishman’s - they are more of a PAF style - If they are letting you keep the guitar, it might be worth finding out if you can use the other voicings if you install push/pull volume knobs and wire them up -i think you can download the wiring diagrams.
With the exception of 1 Dean select V I have with some uneven frets... Every other Dean I've bought has been damn good and is my go to guitar brand almost always 🤘🏻 Love the new lineup they've come out with... Zero F***s Given! 😂 Pity Dean guitars Australia is dead and buried with no other retailers around... They have to work on that.
Oh great video! Please, talking about the NECK THICKNESS of this guitar, please could you tell me if the neck of this guitar is the same profile and thickness of the Dean VMNT Angel of Deth you have? Or maybe is so different? Thank you
Used to have an evertune ltd years ago but i'm still waiting for the evertune v2, i really wish it had finger adjustable fine tuners instead of hex keys. Also it wasn't quite as 'solid' feeling with the right hand because I could push the saddles down while playing. Kinda floaty
They really need to dye these ebony fretboards. Using only the jet black ones is expensive, but that fretboard really looks chalky. Not a fan of the direct mounted pickups or the satin neck finish but that's not specific to Dean. Nice to see jumbo stainless steel frets.
Thats not that much. Its just a standard light top heavy bottom set. Just makes it like having 1 set heavier on just the bottom strings. Adds a lot more control to fast riffs and you barely notice the difference on your fingers to be honest after a very short time
@@KolaTheBear dude its a 52, not a 62. Really its fine in e standard. Ive used light tops heavy bottoms on E standard guitars tons. It really isn't as thick and tight as you are making it seem lol. Maybe try it
@True_Necroholic I am speaking from experience. I had it on my Les Paul for 6 months and stopped playing that guitar for that reason. I use that Guage for Drop C#, and it feels perfect, but 52s hurt my hands in standard.
It’s a beautiful guitar. Just bothers me how they didn’t start making these specific models until after Mustaine left when he’s the reason Dean made a pointed Explorer and V

Excuse my intrusion, nothing wrong with the guitar. I'm uncertain if I'll like Evertune.. no contact with guitar body .. a bunch of hardware. Looks weird. Why don't they add a trem bar to the Evertune ?
