He has his setup to show the cheapest versions of the cards available at the time. It reflects different variants and cards that aren't in near mint condition.. so unless you have yours set up the same way it's not going to be the same price.... Plus a lot of TCG direct places don't have some of these more less played cards... So it'll give you sellers that are out of the listing and you'll have to pay shipping on multiple packages which also bumps the price up
One thing to note about this combo is the sacrifice effect applies only once on the stack, so if they use an instant or flash card to either exile or destroy the creature/remove the artifact, then the draw can't resolve. The loop only begins if nobody responds on the stack, in which it begins the cycle again. Each stack can be interacted with, so if everyone passes, but someone realizes they can stop it, they can play their interaction on the next loop.
I thought the rule was that "can't trumps can." Therfore the 'can't be sacrificed' takes priority and overrides the commander's rule, and the game continues with the commander remaining in play.
That’s correct, this whole video is going to confuse many people on the rule. When it’s really quite simple…. Can’t always wins, please take this video down CQ
This video isn’t correct . This is why creatures like Master Multiplied is so powerful. Normally with myriad creature you would have to sacrifice them at your endstep. However, Master Multiplied says that triggered abilities can’t cause you to sacrifice. This doesn’t therefore create a loop that ends the game. Instead, the “can’t” overrides the previous rules concerning myriad creatures, and you keep your myriad creatures. In this case, Endrek would continue to stay on the battlefield and you would keep making thrulls until someone destroyed your assault suit
@@zombiemouse nah I've got a Gishath deck that can go into a lock state. Polyraptor and Marauding Raptor creates an infinite loop when both are on the field, unless you can instant speed kill the Marauding Raptor.
@@SoopraHooplayes. can’t > can always Same with “damage dealt this way can’t be prevented” and “prevent all damage this turn”. Damage is dealt bc can’t overrides can.
Because it's a static effect (both are) both are essentially constantly triggering. He will never be sacrificed, BUT he is also constantly attempting to be sacrificed, which is creating an infinite loop If it said "at the end of your turn" or something like that, it would trigger once, he wouldn't be sacrificed, and life would move on
Sorry to say, but Assult Suit doesn't end in a lock. 101.2. When a rule or effect allows or directs something to happen, and another effect states that it can’t happen, the “can’t” effect takes precedence. Example: If one effect reads “You may play an additional land this turn” and another reads “You can’t play land cards this turn,” the effect that precludes you from playing lands wins.
I was coming to comment exactly this. Hopefully CQ reads this and learns because I learned this from judges rulings on platinum angel vs abyssal persecutor. “CANT ALWAYS WIN”

Yes, can’t overrules can according to the rules of magic. Otherwise someone casting silence in response to a spell to draw a game would be ludicrously op.

Just came here to comment that this combo isn't actually a hard lock/immediate game-ending play. Endrek's sacrifice ability is a state-trigger, which means that it goes on the stack as a non-card object, and everyone is given a chance to respond to it. If one of the players, or yourself, has a way to either reduce your number of thralls to less than seven or remove/unequip the Assault Suit at instant speed, then the loop is broken and the game will proceed. The game is only a draw if priority passes fully around the table once and no one is willing or able to respond to the state-trigger.
I know this isnt related to the video, but i want to make a Templar Knight deck with Sally Sparrow as the commander to give my creatures flash. The point of the deck is to get a cathars crusade type effect out, like goldknight commander, then use the templar Knights ability to tutor up thrumming stone during combat, cast a templar knight with flash, then pump my whole board by storming off with thrumming stone and getting a ton of etbs. What cards do yall think would be good in the deck?
eh, I can see my table just saying that I cancel out his forced sacrifice and the game just continues. So I'd just re tweak for some more life drain from sacrifice cards.
Even better if you use Assault Suit to give him to your friend who wants to play big cmc creatures. It'd be terrible if they locked the game up. Also, since you have a sacrifice outlet for the thrulls do you have to break the lock on the game, or is that outside the scope of the ruling that you have to end a loop if you can.

Ya cuz he uses damage and mp cards
In convinced that he makes decks, just to support LGS’s in moving their unmoved stock.

This also works with Islandhome creatures. Hand the creature over to player without islands wearing the armor and the same thing happens.
Awesome deck! This is what commander is about for me. Doing silly things that wouldn't go on a normal 1v1 format
Also, despite the combo ending in a draw, 'losing' to it shouldn't feel any different than losing to a thoracle combo
