I assume that's how it would work.... Opening some weird combo's.... Ugh.... What a mess. 🤣 20:47 I hear ya brother. 🤣
Remember when they said they were going to reduce the number of product because of customer having economical fatigue or something like that? Man, it's good to know that this is MTG when they're reducing the amount of products.
The butterfly as a set icon actually makes sense, as butterflies stand for death, rebirth, afterlife, visiting spirits, etc. especially in the Japanese culture. And if the set has a feature of Japanese art style, it just makes even more sense. Snakes also share those aspects, but I suppose MTG already has a fair share of circles and infinity symbols as set icons, so it could be confusing to add more of those. Also, those Ghibli styled cards looked super cool, guess it's time to save up so I can get some once Duskmourne comes out.
Really hope they made an Illusion Land card. Not only would it make sense from a horror standpoint, but having a land that does something ridiculous with the "if it becomes targeted sacrifice it" would be so flavorful and awesome.
Just feel-wise, Bloomburrow and Duskmoor really feel like they should have the old treatment... you know, where we had a *block* of three sets, story linked between them, lots of backstory... The art, at least, seems like it'd deserve it so far.
"From this set forwards, WotC has chosen to do ten versions of Japanese style variants" - The Magic Historian To me it feels like "they do ten versions of about all rares and mythic rares per set" already. 😀

I would love that, but they can't really replicate that with all the digital art, and they seem to want to make the game less violent and bloody. It's a shame, I much prefer the traditional art I do like the furnace demon guy though, he looks good. Not really a horror thing but it's cool looking
@@The_Dying_Rose What are you on about? All will be one wasn't that long ago neither was crimson vow which both depict blood and very much violence. If the land token for the overlord of hauntwoods is "every basic land type" that doesn't mean it taps for mana automatically does it? It could be a land that doesn't even tap for mana at all but just counts as a plains, mountain, forest, etc... or maybe it taps for colorless? IDK, I think we need to see the token?
