Tengo 69 años y cuando tenía 13 o 14 años escuché Ligh my fire por primera vez, desde allí empecé a admirar a the Doors y al gran Jin Morrison, lamentablemente se nos fué temprano, pero nos dejó su legado legado musical.
Henry Baird was outlining that the drumming of this song isn't always given as much credit as it should, the organ, music and guitar isn't really considered underrated because it is always being praised, and rightfully so because the vocals are amazing, the organ is also really great and the live version for this guitar solo is better then the studio guitar solo in my opinion, and these are all commonly said. But I agree, the drumming in this live performance is actually really good, and is quite underrated.
When this song came out it was my last year in high school. My friend and I would drive around L.A. in his V.W. Bug. My pal would drive perfectly, but he never had the slightest idea where we were. It just didn’t matter as long as the eight track worked and we didn’t run out of matches. I miss you Salvador Perez.

Whats always amazed me about the Doors was what a rich sound they got without a bass when live - they did have a bass on recordings. I guess Ray Manzarek added bass notes on his synthesiser. Also Robby Krieger is playing bass licks on his guitar at times. That was very advanced for the time. Classic band. Grew up with them. Still play this.

Jim was so handsome and so talented at the same time. Love this band, they all shall live forever.
Almost 2022, and I'm still hearing these beautiful masterpieces from 60's decade.
Long live to the Lizard King, Long Live to The Doors 🤘🏽🔥🔥
Amen to that my brother.

BOARING...SORRRRRYYYYY.... LI
One of the greatest bands that’s ever walked the face of the earth. The perfect musicians in Ray, Robby & John with one of the most charismatic frontmen in rock n’ roll history.
Ray was a f@cking genius. No more to say.
Oh HELL YES.!!!
CHEW THE BACKBONE, A SOLAR SYSTEM, THESE CLEVER CONVICTS
Very big legend forever,we still miss you 😢😢😢😢😢😢
The sounds Ray gets from that 60s keyboard 🎹 is MIND BLOWING! 😍

El primer cantante de rock que me gustó a mis 8 años.... Aun es de mis favoritos ♥
Timeless music. My grandmother listened to The Doors, and I was born in the 80s and also listen to The Doors.
One of the best performances ever! Long live The Doors!

I was born in 1978, only just realised how great the DOORS are. I love how Jim does not dance around like Jagger, Bono or even my favorite Vedder. Jim is just far too cool and in the moment. Love him. One of a kind for sure, wish he was here still..... COME ON BABY LIGHT MY ....
Fucking hell mate has everyone forgotten that Morrison was an absolute wreck head? Jump around after five tabs of acid? He can barley stay awake! Jumps around? You never seen that live concert where he ends up on the fucking floor 😂 half swirling in circles muttering god knows what about lizards.
Every time I see that comment "Morrison is a genius" you know what I think now I'm an adult? You never took LSD growing up mate. 😂😂😂
Pure joy of beautiful melody. Never get old.
Wie kann eine Band so zeitlos gut sein.....🫶
awesome ray manzarek
If Jim Morrison was the heart of The Doors, Ray Manzarek was the soul! Those psychedelic sounds with brilliant organ solos are something else
He was two persons: keyboard player and bass player

122 East 10th Street, 1974 the first time we were listening to that great music. We had some stuff. A wild time. It will never come back! Now I am an old man, approaching death. Now I am sad realizing how youth passes away like leaves in the fall.
Seems like only yesterday I too was merely a child. Today I’m facing 40 with so many experiences and much behind me instead of ahead.
Love the Doors, i bought thier first album when it came out, not a bad song on the album, just a awesome album
I have never watched a 60s music video of such clarity & definition thank you vivo for making videos like this
This is actually ripped from the full concert. The Doors Live at the Bowl '68
Glad Gladiator you really think vevo existed in 1968
Vivo?
Vivo in spanish means Alive xD
impresionante!!
