Did you notice how the stage was spinning, and with SU being elevated from the middle, it looks like the musicians just performed a ritual to summon her :D
Nothing quite like seeing our Queen rising from the depths of the legendary Budokan... Only to be elevated to her rightful position. And the Kami Band... Technically adept, talented, hard working, and absolute fun to watch. I absolutely love the darker nature of Rondo... The menacing, ominous, and urgent tone of the music that is punctuated by moments of relative calm is a vibe. And the part where Su looks like a suspended marionette puppet is so well done. Thank you for reacting to this absolute gem. 🦊🤘🔥🖤💎🌸
Rondo Of Nightmare/With Mischief Of God Intro:- Rondo Of Nightmare is dark and one of Su-Metal solo songs. The other three songs are:- 1. Akatsuki. 2. No Rain No Rainbow. 3. Amore. Live at Budokan: Red Night & Black Night Apocalypse (stylized as LIVE AT BUDOKAN ~RED NIGHT & BLACK NIGHT APOCALYPSE~) is the third live video release by the Japanese heavy metal band Babymetal. It contains two concerts performed at Nippon Budokan shortly after the release of the band's eponymous debut album, and was released on January 7, 2015 in a standard edition and a limited-edition box set exclusively for "The One" fanclub members. Nippon Budokan:- Nippon Budokan (日本武道館, Nippon Budōkan), often shortened to simply Budokan, is an indoor arena located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. Originally built for the inaugural Olympic judo competition in the 1964 Summer Olympics, its name translates as Martial Arts Hall in English. While its primary purpose is to host martial arts contests, the arena has gained additional fame as one of the world's most iconic musical performance venues. A number of famous rock music acts have played at Budokan. The Beatles were the first rock group to play there in a series of concerts held between June 30 and July 2, 1966. ABBA ended their last tour there. Their final show on March 27, 1980, was the last live concert ABBA performed together. Numerous acts have recorded live albums at Budokan, including Bryan Adams, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Cheap Trick, Dream Theater, Duran Duran, Kiss, Mr. Big, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Journey and Deep Purple. Thank you for the splendid reaction! Each show by BABYMETAL is unsurpassed. The performance and music always hold your attention: nectar to the eyes and ears. It's like a magical ride, but intense and satisfying.
⚡ / 🔥 😱 🔥 We lost Kami Band guitarist Mikio Fujioka in early January 2018, but he was not at this show. The first guitar solo was from Leda Cygnus, the second from Takayoshi Ohmura. BOH was on bass, and the drummer was Hideki Aoyama. So… that's why we made Su-metal our queen at 16 years old. : ) Her voice is even better now that she's 23 (24 in December). Su sang three solo songs that night. She did 'No Rain, No Rainbow', followed by 'Akatsuki' earlier in the set. I already liked BABYMETAL, but those solo songs made me a die hard fan. Dancing on a small raised platform in the dark demonstrates courage. Following up an introduction where each Kami Band member shows off their skills with a solo, shows total fearlessness. : )
Nice & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。FYI, your favorite Band-Maid and Kami (God) Band have been good friends for years. In this show, Kamis' super plays were excellent enough as a main event, but once the 16-year-old girl (as of 2014) emerged from the underground, she colored everything differently and turned Kami Band's plays into a ritual to summon Su-metal. Talking about theatrical production, this year's 10 serial concerts at the BUDOKAN (the same venue in this video) were more beautifully mesmerizing with various stage effects. I witnessed 9 of them ヽ(^o^)丿
Great reaction, thanks! The instrumental intro song is called "Mischiefs of the Metal Gods" and yes, every Kami Band member has their turn to show off their skills. Just to summon the Queen who finally emerges from Hell... well, at least from the bottom of the stage hehe... "Rondo of Nightmare" is probably their darkest song lyrically. It's about Su being trapped into an endless nightmare, without any chance to escape, and she's chased by a dark entity as she tries to run away and hide from. Finally she gives up and ask the entity to show its real nature. This was just the second time they performed it live (the first one was just the previous day at the same venue) and Su-metal, being 16 at the time, was standing by herself on a tiny high platform, without any safety and probably not being able so see a thing due the spotlight. In a word: awesome. And one of the reasons why she's called the Queen. Until next time!
Excelente !!! Esta es facilmente una de las mejores cancion de BabyMetal .Todo es perfecto !! SuMetal , Kami Band , la cancion , la produccion del show ,el publico apoyando con su silencio y su explosion final. Bravooo !!
Great reaction again. I think they borrowed the term Rondo (a musical term for a repeated theme I believe, but you would probably know that better than I do) as the song is about a recurring nightmare, Su being chased through the darkness by - something and finally accepting there is no escape so before she dies she asks if whatever has been chasing her won't at least reveal itself to her. The Kami Band here were Leda Cygnus, Takayoshi Ohmura, BOH (with his 6 string bass) and Hideki Aoyama on drums. Their intro is entitled 'Mischiefs of the Metal Gods' - you won't find that on the album, the Kami Band play the live shows, they don't (as far as anybody knows) do the studio recordings ... other than Leda Cygnus has been involved in a couple and written guitar arrangements for at least one of the songs. Su was just a couple of months past her 16th birthday here (this was March 2014) and leading a band headlining at the Budokan, a hugely prestigious music venue but mainly a martial arts arena. BABYMETAL are the youngest female band to ever headline there - and they sold it out 2 nights running. In 2021 they played another 10 shows at the Budokan as part of their 10th anniversary celebration.
The song is a legitimate Rondo having a repeated theme/chorus with the verses given different musical treatments. A-B-C-D-E-B, one could also consider D as a bridge. There are some definitions out there that say a proper rondo has to have the repeated theme stated first. But my Oxford Dictionary of Music makes no such stipulation. It might not really fit with the song, but I always want one more verse and then to hear the chorus again.
World class instrumentalists , The Queen ruling above all and all round show top class production. This is why BM are rated as one of the top live performers in the world, they don't do gigs, they do epic shows. All choreography is meticulously rehearsed . Crowd interaction happens during the songs , with virtually zero interaction or speech between songs. May I point you to "Catch me if you can" , performed at the same show, with another epic Kami intro and with all 3 girls on stage. 🦊🦊🔥🦊🦊
I'm a 60 year old metal head from way back, Babymetal is awesome. The Japanese women are taking the metal world by storm and I love it! So Much Talent! So Awesome!!!
Great reaction, you'll surely go down deeper into the foxhole at your 3rd song. If you're a sucker for theatrical, lucky you they got plenty. -Watch Road of Resistance (japan live) but be careful, put some watermarks on it and mostly your reaction wont get blocked. -watch BabyMetal Death live legend 1997 -Karate Live UK Download festival 2016 And many more! Gonna love them all, Ps: did you really think the stage was spinning? Well no, we all spinning around her instead, she's the queen.
Yeah this is epic, but there is still more epic Babymetal performance. Watch Babymetal - 'Road of Resistance' live in japan next. One of the most epic performance in history ..
good reaction, Sue has a lot of solos i recommend akatsuki or amore, and with the other girls i recommend catch me if you can or road of resistance, and if you want something more unique i recommend uki uki midnight, 🤘🦊🤘
Hey, JVB! I'm loving how much you're loving and embracing Babymetal! Obviously, live Babymetal is the best Babymetal! To continue your journey, I'll suggest 'Road to Resistance" next, but then I'd like to show you how the band stretches, with "Pa Pa Ya", and then "Shanti Shanti". Great job! 🤘🦊🤘
I'm a big fan of musical theater and part of why I'm a BM fan is their theatricality; their concerts are half way between a rock concert and a Broadway show. After this I suggest you react to "Road of Resistance Live in Japan" because if you want a show then that's what you'll get in that performance. This is one of Su's solos and we'll just ignore the health and safety violation of being on a platform without a railing or harness...seriously the staging at Budokan is one of the few times I feel the need to criticize the BM organization. BM did start with a very strong image of the cute girls backed by the heavy band dressed as "spirits" and they've done well to change the costumes as the girls have grown up. I'm interested to see what new material and image they develop as Su and Moa move into their mid 20's. RON is a very dark song where Su is chased by something she cannot escape. The repetitive nature of a rondo makes this even more frightening as it implies that the nightmare just keeps repeating. I think that the changing time signatures are there to make us feel uncomfortable and keep us off balance. The final chorus is as unsettling as the time signatures and offers no happy resolution: It flickers slowly appearing and disappearing in my mind. A nightmare rondo is being repeated. The awakening light is gone far away out of my sight. I can do nothing but fall into the darkness. I'm always reminded of "monsters from the id". Some reviewers mention that the song ends very abruptly and that it's hard to settle into...which I think is the point as you wake from a nightmare suddenly.
Road of Resistance is indeed a great performance, though I feel it should be mentioned that reactions to it (and most of the videos from their official channel) often get blocked. You can usually get around that by blurring, fading, or putting a logo over the video though, Jacqueline. Another possible interpretation I've heard for Rondo is that it's a metaphor for clinical depression. I don't know if the songwriter had that in mind, but it certainly fits - though of course other interpretations could also fit, such as addiction. Sad ending if either of those interpretations were intended though. :(
Thx for this wonderful and professional review. I am happy when i see a person reacts to BM-music with such passion as you did. A big hand for you, that is amazing. So, thats now enough flattering, lets talk about Babymetal. First of all, I am a 59 year-old-hardcore-metal fan. My first reaction was BABYmetal, is that kindergarten-music- omg - never ever decieved in such a way. Man, i felt in love with that music and of course with that girls and that fantastic musicians. The whole package brings metal such a refreshment in that former dusty world of metal. Then I understood, why they formed their bandname into that. And there is still another thing. That music makes me really happy, even when I am down of pvivat or professional circumstances. Just a few videos for blwing my mind and it works. Never ever had that before. So, if you like to react Bybymetal songs, it might be a long list. And please, react to live-songs, they are so much better than studio-versions. My proposal list: Ijimi, dame, zettel - live at Sonisphere 2014 UK (their in europe most important gig!) Road of resistance - Live in Japan (official) Megitsune - Live at Budokan Black Night Karate - live UK Download 2016 I've seen, you have done a react of Headbanger, right? So, if you do another reactions, maybe you start with "Babymetal Death" - Legend 1997 complete - for me one of the most epic intros to an concert i have ever seen. Best regards from a geman metal fan. Ahja - last words: SEE YOU.
The fearlessness of Su-metal. Think about that, she is on a platform 2 meters wide 2 meters up, without any safety equipment. Lights on her face, there is no chance that she can see where she is standing. It's okay if you stand still, but she takes some dance moves and then there are the thing with your mind, it's playing with you when you know you are on an elevated platform. AND the night before, Yuimetal fell of the stage (not this elevated platform though) so she must have had that in her mind too. Kitsune up /yon-metal from ヨーテボリ
Reading your comment, I was reminded of a video I saw of the girls outside walking somewhere, maybe to the venue? Anyway, Su suddenly makes a right turn and walks away from everyone. She had to quick jump back in line. That platform would be a bad place for a girl that tends to wander off like that. 🤣🤣
@@autohmae that was it, but I had a longer version. My computer died recently and I lost almost all of my Babymetal stuff. ☹ I would have posted the link if I still had it.
@@jeffschreifels8651 I don't remember it being longer. Anyway that's unfortunate. Which is why I had suggested in the past to try and make a collection by/for fans. Some way to archive everything.
Loved your reaction - subscribed! Suggest BABYMETAL'S Original MV's "KARATE", "MEGITSUNE", & "ROAD OF RESISTANCE - LIVE in Japan". Arigatou! 🦊🤘 #notacult
Nice reaction. Babymetal is all that and a bag of chips as they say. Su went to the Actors School of Hiroshima (a.k.a. ASH). Seems to server her very well while on stage. Su-metal's stage presence is said to be 10' tall. While Suzuka is actually only around 5'2" tall. Not sure if Yui and Moa had even made it to 4'8" by this concert. Moa is close to Su's height now. Their stage presence together just doubles. You might be able to see them from space when their on stage. This was a Su-metal solo. Yui and Moa got to take a break. To give Su a break Yui and Moa did a duo together called Black Babymetal. As Black Babymetal they did 4 songs together. One of which is called Four, and they wrote the lyrics for it. Since Yui left Babymetal due to health reasons (don't look it up, No one Knows what they are. Since they were young their management team has done an amazing job of keeping their private lives, private). Moa has done 2 of these songs as Moa solo's. GJ Is the one she has done the most. Babymetal was built around Su. Her voice has a power to it that can cut through anything. When the Kamiband was brought in they asked if they should turn it down like they have before for other kid singers. The response, No this is a heavy metal band and Su doesn't need it. The Kamiband members have their own side projects that they do as well. But most of them have given up those projects to tour with Babymetal when they can. Boh the bass player has said he enjoys playing with Babymetal the most. When checking out Babymetal live shows look for Boh. He's usually the one who seems to be having the most fun. Yui and Moa were brought in to complete the triumphant. Su's two Angels of scream and dance. Yui is known for her perfect dancing and Moa can do anything, including looking so much like Yui that folks have a hard time telling them apart sometimes. But don't worry the more you see them the easier it is. Yui's hair is more curly and Moa has dimples. It's easier now since Yui left. They used 3 dancers to fill Yui's spot on the last tour. Riho who put out a solo JPOP album in august, Kano who is in her own JPOP group called 1Five. They were all 15 when they started. And Momoko who did the last 20 or more shows before covid stopped their tour. Momoko tried out for a Korean pop group but didn't make it. I was rooting for her to get Yui's spot. She seemed so happy with them. Babymetal is currently on a break. Or sealed away as their promoter put it. Since tours are starting back up. We all hope that seal will be broken soon and with it a new album. But as they say Only The Fox god Knows.
This was great. Looking forward to more Babymetal reactions! You seem like you'll enjoy pretty much anything they've done. Just focus on their live performances and *try* to avoid the compilation videos. There are some that are well done, but a few are really poorly put together.
I'm with you in loving Su's performance skills. She did musical theatre and modeling since she was 2, so performing is in her bones. Another Su solo piece which really shows her performance abilities is Akatsuki: th-cam.com/video/g2372C5PJLM/w-d-xo.html Here she gives us a masterclass on cape dramatics that would scare Dracula himself hehe. It’s impossible for me (untalented in any kind of artistic ability) to imagine being on stage as Su has been for her entire life. There is no way she can remember a time when she was not a performer.
@@kevinhiggins7838 She didn't win the Grand Prix in the Image Girl contest for Jewel Drop until she was 4 years old. Suzuka was still a bit of a slacker when she was 3. : )

Been amazed with BABYMETAL since my first time hearing them .. Should do megitsune next. Its better to do songs frome their 1st and 2nd album before we get to their most recent album. I like when banss are always experimenting something and change it up a bit and babymetal is just that, its sad yui is no longer part of babymetal but its ok totally understandable. Great reaction! Glad you're enjoying their performances so much. This is one of their most dramatic, though there are some that even top this. If you want to see more theatrics, the finale of their Legend 1997 show (one of the shows that is copyright-safe on TH-cam) is a must-see. The last three songs from that show - Headbanger, Akatsuki (Unfinished ver.), and Babymetal Death - are an incredible ride. You've already heard Headbanger, so even though you haven't really seen that particular performance, I don't think anyone would fault you for just watching those last two songs...but I'll leave links to all three in a reply comment just in case you want the full experience. ;) Also re: the debate over whether Su is singing live in the section of Rondo where it goes quiet and there's that lofi-ish effect on her voice, she definitely is not. I have watched every single pro-shot performance of this song multiple times, and it sounds exactly the same each time, and if you listen carefully you can hear shades of her younger voice behind the effects. Also at some shows she doesn't even really try to pretend like she's singing it. ^_^ Doesn't take away from the moment for me, though. She's still a great singer, and that just makes it all more theatrical, especially if you look up what the lyrics during that part are.
Links for my suggestions: Headbanger th-cam.com/video/r-2IY10k9KM/w-d-xo.html Akatsuki unfinished th-cam.com/video/a7KIh9UQghA/w-d-xo.html Babymetal Death th-cam.com/video/VE34mRpi6Qk/w-d-xo.html Please use these links especially for the last two songs if you do them, since those two both include intro videos that are entirely in Japanese, and these particular uploads have - *gasp* - _subtitles!_

"Rondo Of Nightmare (悪夢の輪舞曲; Akumu No Rondo)"

The waning moon has lit up
the insanity rampant in the shade
The laughter resounds around
It bares its fangs and its eyes gleam
I can’t escape from it
It flickers slowly
appearing and disappearing in my mind
A nightmare rondo is being repeated
The awakening light
is gone far away out of my sight
I can do nothing but run
through the darkness
In the woods, in the fountain
I hide myself holding my breath
but it’s still coming closer to me
A stagnant voice. An endless night
Ah…
If I can no longer get out of here
won’t you show me your figure?
It flickers slowly
appearing and disappearing in my mind
A nightmare rondo is being repeated
The awakening light
is gone far away out of my sight
I can do nothing but fall
into the darkness

Nice reaction, next Karate, Akatsuki, Ijime Dame Zettai, and Road of Restance 🤣🤣
yeah please🔥
Next? Karate at Download 2016.... Akatsuki original version and the Unfinished Version... Megitsune from Red Fox Festival (all girls only concert).... No Rain No Rainbow from Legend S concert (or the 10Babymetal Budohkan one)..... From Dusk Till Dawn from the recent 10 Babymetal concert..... Or anything from their live concert shows. But as some have already commented, put up a watermark or something to cover up the vid a bit, to get past the copyright. 🤘🦊🤘
Great reaction! SUMETAL is an amajing performer.🤘
To me, discovering BabyMetal is like discovering a new world. Thanks for your great reaction. 😃
Thank you nice reaction.
I want you to enjoy the music below
Next amazing song by BABYMETAL "Road of resistance".
Thank you for the splendid reaction! Each show by BABYMETAL is unsurpassed. The performance and music always hold your attention: nectar to the eyes and ears. It's like a magical ride, but intense and satisfying.
Love your energy and reaction, made me bounce. Stay metal and stay Babymetal!
epic solos, epic singing, epic performance !!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

We lost Kami Band guitarist Mikio Fujioka in early January 2018, but he was not at this show.
The first guitar solo was from Leda Cygnus, the second from Takayoshi Ohmura.
BOH was on bass, and the drummer was Hideki Aoyama.
So… that's why we made Su-metal our queen at 16 years old. : )
Her voice is even better now that she's 23 (24 in December).
Thank you for the info ;)
Great reaction...next "Akatsuki" Black Night....
Bravooo !!
Crazy good gitars.........loved it......
Hello.. just hearing you talk about su's voice i think Akatsuki Live Budokan Black Night.. would blow you away.. you can feel it.. its mind numbing..
Babymetal - Road of Resistance Live in Japan
Babymetal - Ijime, Dame, Zettai Live at Sonisphere 2014
Babymetal - Akatsuki Live Budokan Black Night
🦊🤘
Hi !!! Love your reaction!!!!
You should react to Ijime,Dame,Zettai Live at Sonisphere ... this song is reeally amazing ! Greetings from Mexico !
Great reaction. The band are fantastic and Su is world class. Almost unbelievably she is even better now.
So is the band
Nice reaction saya menyukai musik nya
World class instrumentalists , The Queen ruling above all and all round show top class production. This is why BM are rated as one of the top live performers in the world, they don't do gigs, they do epic shows. All choreography is meticulously rehearsed . Crowd interaction happens during the songs , with virtually zero interaction or speech between songs.
May I point you to "Catch me if you can" , performed at the same show, with another epic Kami intro and with all 3 girls on stage.

I'm a 60 year old metal head from way back, Babymetal is awesome. The Japanese women are taking the metal world by storm and I love it! So Much Talent! So Awesome!!!
No rain no rainbow is another Su-Metal solo and it’s epic 🔥🦊🔥

Great reaction, you'll surely go down deeper into the foxhole at your 3rd song.
If you're a sucker for theatrical, lucky you they got plenty.
-Watch Road of Resistance (japan live) but be careful, put some watermarks on it and mostly your reaction wont get blocked.
-watch BabyMetal Death live legend 1997
-Karate Live UK Download festival 2016
And many more! Gonna love them all,
Ps: did you really think the stage was spinning? Well no, we all spinning around her instead, she's the queen.

good reaction, Sue has a lot of solos i recommend akatsuki or amore, and with the other girls i recommend catch me if you can or road of resistance, and if you want something more unique i recommend uki uki midnight, 🤘🦊🤘
The final chorus is as unsettling as the time signatures and offers no happy resolution:
It flickers slowly
appearing and disappearing in my mind.
A nightmare rondo is being repeated.
The awakening light
is gone far away out of my sight.
I can do nothing but fall
into the darkness.
The day before this show, Yui fell off the stage during Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!. Then Moa hurt her knee at the beginning of the next song.
My proposal list:
Ijimi, dame, zettel - live at Sonisphere 2014 UK (their in europe most important gig!)
Road of resistance - Live in Japan (official)
Megitsune - Live at Budokan Black Night
Karate - live UK Download 2016
I've seen, you have done a react of Headbanger, right? So, if you do another reactions, maybe you start with "Babymetal Death" - Legend 1997 complete - for me one of the most epic intros to an concert i have ever seen. Best regards from a geman metal fan. Ahja - last words: SEE YOU.
I wish more people would react to rondo of nightmare with mikio in the line up of the kami band
Great reaction :)
More Babymetal
This is my favorite rendition of this song - the solos are awesome and the theatrics and camera work are great. And, of course, Su-metal's vocals!
Great.more BABY METAL reaction
The fearlessness of Su-metal. Think about that, she is on a platform 2 meters wide 2 meters up,
without any safety equipment. Lights on her face, there is no chance that she can see where she is standing.
It's okay if you stand still, but she takes some dance moves and then there are the thing with your mind,
it's playing with you when you know you are on an elevated platform.
AND the night before, Yuimetal fell of the stage (not this elevated platform though)
so she must have had that in her mind too.
@@jeffschreifels8651 LoL, right? The difference between Su-metal vs Suzuka Nakamoto is crazy.
@@jeffschreifels8651 You are talking about the event which is captured in the TH-cam video: "Babymetal and sid wilson (slipknot) at backstage"
@@autohmae that was it, but I had a longer version. My computer died recently and I lost almost all of my Babymetal stuff. ☹ I would have posted the link if I still had it.

KITSUNE DA O
I don't know what "it" is.
But whatever "it" is. They've got it. In spades.
This was great. Looking forward to more Babymetal reactions! You seem like you'll enjoy pretty much anything they've done. Just focus on their live performances and *try* to avoid the compilation videos. There are some that are well done, but a few are really poorly put together.
Actually, Mikio Fujioka doesn't play in this video.
Guitar parties here are:
- Leda Cygnus (blue guitar)
- Takayoshi Ohmura (golden guitar)
字幕がめちゃめちゃ正確や!
Sadly it is true, Mikio did pass away, he wasn't in that video, Leda was playing the dark blue guitar and Takayoshi was playing Gold-chan...
You get to see Su's incredible use of facial expressions as well, which is a lot of fun.

It’s impossible for me (untalented in any kind of artistic ability) to imagine being on stage as Su has been for her entire life. There is no way she can remember a time when she was not a performer.

Should do megitsune next. Its better to do songs frome their 1st and 2nd album before we get to their most recent album. You've already heard Headbanger, so even though you haven't really seen that particular performance, I don't think anyone would fault you for just watching those last two songs...but I'll leave links to all three in a reply comment just in case you want the full experience. ;)
Also re: the debate over whether Su is singing live in the section of Rondo where it goes quiet and there's that lofi-ish effect on her voice, she definitely is not.
