      Or preferably just have the audio be the same between all models. I don’t think that choosing your battery and motor configuration should affect that. Just my 0.02, I’ve got a RWD Model 3 so I don’t come at this from a hateful standpoint.

    Thank you, guys, for the fantastic EV coverage! Over the past few months, I've learned a ton from your road trips and reviews. After test driving the Ionic 5 and 6 and renting a Model 3 for a weekend off of Turo, I just leased a new Model 3 Long Range AWD. I used your referral code and got a great discount. Thank you! I wish I lived in a state that had the programs Colorado has because, in Tennessee, the Ionic 5 and 6 leases were $300 per month more than a Model 3, which made my decision pretty easy. Congrats. Just picked up mine on Thursday strictly based on your 70 mph test. Literally traded in my M3P for the long range RWD. It’s just a daily driver and I was never using the performance out of it. Not to mention I was getting more fun out of playing efficiency games with it than I was out of the performance of it. I was actually one of the first to throw the 18 inch EV01+ wheels with the Hankook iON EVO AS tires on it and was getting 220 Wh/mi over 1,900 miles on my 24’ M3P many months ago. I live in ev hostile OK . I have gone all ev even if I love in the state with the cheapest gas in the nation . Have been all ev since 2016 and have never looked back . Cost of operation and low maintenance made it a no brainer for me . Of course I own my home and charge at home. Apartment dwellers is a no no . Because the savings come from charging at home ! . We have 100k on our 17 x and 60 on our 16 s . Zero out of warranty repairs on x and 4K ac and burned wire repair on s . I keep my 2003 crd 3500 for long distance towing and it has barely come out of the storage area except once a month for a drive around . We have had no regrets and have gotten great value out of our evs . They are not for everyone yet but if you can make it work they are great for the long run . I even have free supercharge for life which makes me want to keep it even longer !

    I am very happy for you, Jordan. it is a beautiful car and it is by far the best Tesla for the money and the best EV in general for the money. I have some quick thoughts:
    1. I own the same color Model 3 that you chose (stealth grey) and I love the this color. It just looks so much better than the white or the red colors. I do like the blue, but the stealth grey is just perfect. My Model 3 is a 2022 base model. RWD. Your Model 3 is a huge improvement on mine.
    2. I have not found a subwoofer system that can be added that integrates natively with the existing sound system. I would be very interested to see if your team can locate one that doesn't cost an excessive amount of money. The trick is not in adding subwoofers, that can be done. The trick is adding subwoofers that work with the existing speakers in the software. I don't know if that is possible. So, in other words, adding subwoofers what the car's UI recognizes and you can see and adjust in the native sound system UI on the touchscreen. My car's sound system is so good, that I am not too worried about it.
    3. I agree with you that because this car has an 80 kWh battery and a 363-mile range, it will remain a class-leading EV for the next two years at least. Because it is very fast, and has exceptional range and an exceptionally quiet ride and comfortable suspension system, it will still be a superb EV in two years.
    I hope that you will be very happy with your new car.

    I don't understand how it makes financial sense for the dealer to basically lend you the car for 3 years and loose money on it. If you give it back after your lease expires, they'll never be able to sell it for 35k, so they'll be losing money on it. In my country in EU, the minimum downpayment is 10% and the max financing term is 96 months. And if you do that, you pay insane interest. So most people (including me) try really hard to put down at least 40-50% and pay the rest in max 2-3 years. And own the car afterwards. Nobody and I mean NOBODY is lending you the car for some trivial amount of money over here.

      @That car should not have been sold in its horrible condition. The door doesn’t even fit! Those stone chips are from transport. If you bought a vehicle from a reputable brand they would have fixed those issues before delivery to you. Shame on you for supporting a right wing conspiracy theorist.

    Purchased our M3 LR RWD 2 months ago. It has 2600 miles and averages 204 Wh/mi. It's a great vehicle for the purpose we use it for. But the test drive, purchasing and delivery experience was like buying a refrigerator at Best Buy. When you drive out of state to purchase a vehicle you would expect a thank you instead of here's your paperwork, next. I'm sure that's the future and I'm just old. 😅

    I'm surprised you chose a 10,000 miles/year lease. Do you spend your life on your desktop and just go out now and then for food? Maybe you have an Olds 98 for your primary vehicle and just set the Tesla out front for show.

    I’d be curious if heater performance in cold weather differs compared to the dual motor spec. I know the motors are used to create cabin and battery heat, so dual motors might be faster but I’ve never seen a real world comparison.

    • @TheLastMoccasin
      @TheLastMoccasin 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It uses the heat pump. Far more efficient than the motor. It does scavenge from motors but not main source.

      @@TheLastMoccasin I meant when it is very cold. As the temperature falls heat pumps become less efficient.

      @ True, it might help in cold starts below -5F. I doubt it would be noticeable for most Colorado conditions they could test in, but would be good to see tested.

      Cannot do that at Tesla. They deliver all their cars with panel gaps, bad paint and issues like wheel alignment. But they will fix it afterwards if you point them out during handover.
