Got hurt (horrendous back pain) and took two days off and got written up for it. They will write you up for anything and everything. Like this one girl said “they will write you up for being a human being” and next thing you know you’re told you’re on your final. They literally do not care. I’ve been filling out applications for other places. I have to get out of here. I’m usually a calm, cool, and collected person but today I almost lost it.

I am almost at 20 years in a warehouse. Average weight we lift is about 45 lbs. We are expected to pick at least 200 pieces/hr, and receive about 500 pieces/hr. Almost 50 years old, and yeah It's a job that leaves you physically and mentally drained. But if you can tough it out for long enough and save/invest as much as you can, you will be on easy street compared to most folks.

I once had to pick up a package at UPS at the actual distribution center. Just so happened to be around a shift change or something. The employees walking in were just as miserable as the employees walking out. Nobody was talking to each other, nobody smiled, it just looked so depressing. warehouse jobs really aint it. Worked at one where I would pick orders by hand or forklifts. Im a fit guy but constantly lifting heavy boxes or metal parts totally degrades you after 8 hours. Also, a lot of these products I was picking were coated in this toxic dust. The P-65 cancer warning was all over these boxes. Its just a trap to work these jobs.
Doing 10 hr shifts sometimes 11hrs 6 days a week takes all ur energy and time and never have nun to do plus I get off around 1 or 2 am so I literally live to work
I started full time with 3 12 hour days. The pay bumped to $30 an hour. It wasnt bad but i noticed problems after a year with my back and shoulders. Switched to full time IT in the warehouse but it was graveyard. Terrible shift, ok job but i was only doing about 5 hrs of work on a 10hr day 4 days a week. Now im on 2 days a week. My pay is right around $40 there and they pay for my degree. Its not bad until thats over. I can leave anytime after 6 hours usually but between 12-20 hrs no more than 2 days is enough for me in that forsaken place. Ill find other sources of income, i have to... cant do this anymore. And im only 24... been there 3 years

I am fully educated in transport and logistics and I can't imagine working in ANY other field. I operate reach trucks, low-lifting orderpickers, stackers, big rig trucks... Then again, I do all that in Europe and I get paid $2.400 a month, and that's after taxes in SWEDEN. Highest taxes in Europe.

Did construction labor jobs till i passed the city electrical helper exam.
