Great detailed video series. I noticed the drop spindles instructions say to use a wheel spacer if interference is an issue on the lower spindle. I wonder if that would help from having to grind it?
Well I had to grind the ball joints metal from the spindles and lower control arm lip..y still grind when turning it's hitting the lower control arm I'm about to get some 1" spacers, has someone had the same problem??
Did you use 3100 or 3200 belltech spindle. I ordered 3100 but ball joint would not fit when I went to install. I want to make sure I order the right part next time. My brake is 1”
I am going with Belltech I measured 1” rotor, so I believe I need 3200 . I’m thinking of just cutting original coils and reusing, did you use lowering shocks? Looked like bell techs Thanks great video
About 4 inches. Moved the front leaf mounts up on the frame rail. And made the shackles longer on the rear. Had to cut the cross member in the floor of the bed so the rear leaf spring wouldn’t hit it.
I'm willing to bet those front wheels won't turn left and right because you'll have to grind that Lower A Frame all the way around the front and back side because that wheel has to turn left and right
This video is a prime example of what sheer disappointment sounds like lol, they did a great job…..but we all know as men….when you get the look you want you will have no problem being vocal about it. But when you don’t get the look you want you do exactly what these guys did….stare in pure disappointment lol.
Subscribed and liked because you've shown every gritty step unlike most other videos who assume you know the simple stuff and skip past it:(
Thanks! We appreciate it!
Thanks guys for putting this out there. Super informative, and took a lot of the stress and guessing work out of it. Thank You.
Glad we could help!!
These videos are better than the ones brothers truck parts put out! 👍
Thank you!
Great video guys, really answered the intricate questions that are sometimes passed when making these videos ,
Thank you! We tried to be thorough enough for anyone to be able to do it
Great video guys!!! hope my weekend goes as smooth as this lol...
Thanks! We hope it goes smoothly for you too!

Excellent video! Especially pointing out the brake line interference challenge and the ralley wheel to lower A arm interference.
What a great video! Thanks guys
Great video, I have the same truck only 1986, question is: what is your tire size?? And is the lower arm rubbing a rally wheel problem? Thank you
Mine is

No rub when you turn ?
Was it the 1” rotors you have?
I have a 1986 GMC that I want to lower and keep the 15 inch wheels, how much should I lower it to make it look good ?
@James Arnold my 87 Chevy is lowered 3” in the front and 4” in the back. I think it looks pretty good
What is the difference from your truck a arms to a chev van G20 and G30 thks
Not really sure. The ball joints are different but I don’t know about the difference in the a arms. Sorry
@@WeberAuto23 thks just the same

Is that a stock height spring
Did have any problems with your bakes after bending your line?
No we didn’t have any problems with it!

Thanks great video
@Oldschool Man we had gotten shorter shocks from when cut the coils the first time we lowered it. We reused those shocks with the drop spindles
Nicely done...thanks.
What diameter is the tip of the shaft where the roller works?
How much is rear lowered and how was it lowered Thank you

@@WeberAuto23 so you didn't do the axle flip ? Because i personally don't want it as low as the flip gives , Thank you for your help
Nope we didn’t do the axle flip!
Where did you get your parts?
Great Video thank you
We ordered them through our local auto parts store. The brand is Belltech, you can order them online I believe.
@@WeberAuto23 thank you
Good work.
Thank you!
Your front license plate is upside down....:)
Love the video.if you could speak louder.
Thanks
It raised up
Yes it ended up being a little taller than what we had it lowered to before
I'm willing to bet those front wheels won't turn left and right because you'll have to grind that Lower A Frame all the way around the front and back side because that wheel has to turn left and right
No grinding need it, just get a bigger in size wheel rim
