2010 V6, AWD, 277K, tranny replaced . Internal leak due to the bushings inside on the transmission pump were going bad and caused misalignment. I have been very hard on this car from every day use. Towing, riding mountain roads, just the usual stuff. Got it back today. Used tranny with 80k miles and 3 year warranty. Praying it's good to go. Glad you all are also getting good service from your vehicles
My 2002 Edge 5 speed manual was officially a write off today after being rear ended at xmas.23 years old and was regularly serviced..that lil girl gave me absolutely NO trouble..I'm really gonna miss her!😢
2010 Rav4 owner here, 180K miles. Paint chip problems, a minor fix. The plastic headlight lens get foggy and need to be buffed out. The 02 bank 2 sensor throws a check engine/4wd code and you lose cruise control. It's a half hour DIY fix to replace the 02 sensor from under the car. Otherwise great car, 25 mpg all around highway/city here in 2024. I plan to keep it for another 100K. a couple more years. To update it I'm adding LED headlight bulbs, around $100. I also want a $200 backup camera, I'm going to use wireless. It is an all-day operation to take the trim off on the passenger side in the back where the jack is mounted to run wiring.
@@fredislazo9444 Yes. 135K miles on a RAV4 is barely broken in. Remember that when you buy a used vehicle what you are really paying for is unused miles. If you can get another 100K miles or four more years of driving out of it I would say you got your money's worth.
I have a 2008 with 250,000kms and for the most parts is has been great. It is the 4cyl auto so does have the oil burning issue that year model had, it’s not horrible but it is definitely something that needs to be checked as I have it it get quite low a few times, that being said even after running low on oil multiple times it has no issues or weird sounds in the engine and the oil burning isn’t getting worse. Besides the oil burning it has been dead reliable, never had to replace anything besides brake pads and disks, just basic maintenance. I don’t work on it much but it is very easy to work on so I do plan on doing more work myself soon such as brake pads
I have had my 2013 for about 7 1/2 years now. I have had no issues that can be related to the manufacturing of the vehicle. I do proper maintenance on it, so that helps keep major problems away. Most of my issues have been tires, which has nothing to do with the quality of the car, of course. I know this is just my information on it and it may not help you. But I offer it as another 2013 owner, and I feel that the 2013 is generally a good year for the vehicle. I also realize that our experiences determine our opinions, so someone with a 2013 that has had a lot of problems with their car would see it differently than me.
Which engine in 2008 had oil consumption? The 4-cylinder or the 6 cylinder? In the video I see the 4-cylinder being shown so my guess is that's what you meant. But since I'm looking at a 2008 right now V6, I'm wondering if that is the one I should worry about
I had a 11 Rav Limited 4WD with the 3.5L V6 and the 5spd automatic transmission. It had every option available in 2011. I absolutely loved my Rav. I sold it to a friend of mine because he knew how much of a maintenance nut I am. My wife wanted for us to consolidate down to 2 vehicles instead of 3, so I sold my Rav and our Ranger XLT 4WD super cab pickup and bought a new 23 Tacoma TRD Off Road, 6’ bed, double cab with the premium and technology pkgs. My new Tacoma has the same 3.5L V6 as did my Rav, but my Rav had 269 horsepower and my Tacoma has 278 horsepower. Well it had 278 horsepower until I installed a K&N cold air intake, a Flowmaster FlowFX turn down dual exhaust and an Overland Torque Tune. My Tacoma is now pumping out 302 horsepower and I’m getting 1mpg Better fuel economy.
2016 XLE I put OEM brakes, turned rotors, and brand new 800 thread Michelin tires. I hear a loud squeling sqeeking noise from the front of the car as the wheels turn. The shops can never hear it. The under belly has been checked, and everything looks fine. It happens more in the more within the first couple of minutes when it's cooler. help!
I'd be willing to bet that the "worst" years of the RAV4 are still much better than the "best" years of just about any Land Rover or Maserati!
Indeed 👍
Or Jeep.
I own a ‘15 Rav 4. As of Aug ‘24 I have 109k miles on it. In my 9 years of ownership, not a single issue. It’s been absolutely flawless

@@ReNCaTzZz I ended up buying 2013 v6 highlander
From 2006 to 2009 certain models got the low tension rings on the piston. This was the source of the problem.

You forgot cablegate on the rav4 hybrid, in Canada out of warranty it's a 6000$ job...

Wheel bearings
What is Rav4 stand for?
4 wheel drive I think
"Recreational Active Vehicle with 4-wheel drive"
All new cars look stupid
which is just your opinion and is relevant to nothing concerning this video.
My 1997 toyota rav4 is the best ❤️
