How about transmission issues?? Our 2014 shifts very rough from gear 2-3. Its original with 225k on it.

Change the coolant every 50K to help avoid head gasket issues. Use OEM coolant.

My 2017 Rav4 keeps dying with a "Charging System Malfunction" error on the dash. It happens for any/no reason, whether I'm pulling up to a red light, trying to parallel park, shutting the hood after checking the oil, and even just minding my own business driving at speed down the road. If I'm lucky, I can shift to neutral and restart it, but sometimes, I have to make an emergency stop to restart the engine. Now it's giving me P0617, and every check that has been recommended has turned up a dead end and the issue persists!
Also, my local Toyota Service Center hasn't even been able to resolve the issue, but they can tell me I need new tires!!

Door lock selenoid are weak. Would like to know if the shocks from '16 to '18 refresh models fit on the '13-'15 because the latter offer a terribly uncomfortable ride. I checked the Toyota parts # and they are different which does promise a lesser jarring ride like the reviewers said at the time for the refresh '16 .

    Very nice. Thanks.
Never thought I'd buy an Old 2015 rav4 now. ButI can't Justify paying high prices, Even though I can afford it, for mini suv now. This generation looks pretty good, And prices Still high but Justifiable... Had to look up any real issues though
