I am so happy I grew up with really great rock music in the sixties and seventies like this ... nothing has touched this stuff since then, The Doors, The Who, Cream, Zeppelin, Moody Blues and on and on.
So compelling. The band sounded real good and Morrison was mesmerizing. The man didn't have to do much and he oozed presence like nobody else. Truly a one of a kind frontman and a one of a kind band.
That sound is so hard to be regenerated. The narly though very precise and not distracting guitar of Robbie, the impossibly wide vocal range of Jim, the jazz latin beats of John and the mastermind of the amazing multi-instrumental Ray just kick ass
Best voice in 20th-century rock. I saw a woman listen to Jim sing L.A.Woman - you should have seen her face when he began singing! Yes, his voice had that effect on women - before they had even seen pictures or videos of him - surreal. RIP
What a euphoric music era we would have witnessed given the fact if we were born during 50's and would have been a teenager by 65'. The pop music of that time would have been so much overwhelming to hear, the greats of such bands all in such a short span of time. And now here I am, born in late 90's and witnessing how the society has been cut off from the nature, children playing on mobiles instead of fields most of the time, people dating on apps, pseudo anxiety and depression by social media thingy (like seriously WTF) , and then the pop music of today which makes the ears bleed. But societies change and everything becomes history. All we can do is embrace and live in the here and now concept finding the good old things that is left and welcoming what is there to come.PEACE
