John Densmore blew me away. The Doors are still my favorite American group. Their first two albums being as good as there last two.
This is how I wish everything was, beautiful
So talented, so handsome, a star , a legent...
Kallisti G., agreed on all accounts. Dusty the 2nd.
historic performance, perfect pitch and delivery
@@scottharrison3391 Yep, he's got it all.
Thank you it's not easy being a legend.
Also a legend.
Great clip!
It was truly magical being 11 years old in '68 and watching The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and seeing all this talent on that cool show!
Every time---to this day--that this tune gets to the the sax solo and all through til the end, I get MASSIVE GOOSEBUMPS--which some people would call a BIG RUSH! The way it builds and builds with all the horns joining in with the sax, the drums and the climax just blows me away! LOVE this song to death!!
The best fascinating and musical genius in the world! For me is always alive. Simply the best! I love you for ever Jim!
One of the best live performance of a song....ever
I genuinely don't think I have heard anything more beautiful than Jim's voice at 2:13!
wow, that is stunning.
R.I.P Lead Of Doors Of Jim Morrison (1943-1971) Age 27
He died at the age of 28!
The doors is the best rock band ever rest in peace Jim Morrison ♥️🎸🇺🇸☮️
The great Curtis Amy on sax solo.
Legendary
Curtis Amy is not a girl soloing to the song
@@acnhtunemusicvids of course
@@alliechannel-effectsvideos1103 It's my best WHATTHEFUCK moment ever
I think Curtis is not female
I can clearly hear ole " Blue Eyes" vocal influence throughout this beautiful performance.
My current Doors Obsession is this clip.
Such a fantastic voice! Great song! DOORS THE BEST! Greeting from germany to all Doors- Fans in the world!
I remember watching this on the Smothers Brothers Show in 1968 when I was still a teenager. I hadn't seen this segment since then. It feels so good to watch The Doors perform "Touch Me". I still remember being surprised to see all the other musicians on the stage with The Doors. Something like that didn't happen too often. Watching Jim Morrison and the other Doors is like going back in time in a time machine. Thank you Eagle Rock.
Yes, yes, yes, morrisön.

I think I was going to fall in love with this song, morrisön.
Beautiful song , I love the way James sings it as well, especially this performance in particular.
Omg, what a talent, that orchestra and the violins were off the chain...
OHMYGOD
One of the best live performances I have ever seen.
Leather pants were designed for Jim Morrison
I agree! Weird to think that that look really didn't become the typical rock star gear until the 80's. He was wearing leather when everyone else was wearing paisley and polyester . Morrison was way ahead of his time.
the sexiest leather pants in universe :-D
Gothic 666 - Punk undoubtedly :)
@@the.hot.button yes, i love jims leather pants :-P ^^
He got the idea from Elvis...Jim was a huge Elvis fan
Man this guy really had it go in on the talent, the look, the charisma, remarkable artist.
I can’t count how many times I’ve watched this video ... just for that grin alone after the first chorus 😘 0:53 uploaded this video mark on July 2, 2023 prior to his anniversary death ❤
Can you be my friend, morrisön?

Me too warched this sooo many times.. im a bit obsessed... He is my tranquility, he is a work of art in every way
It's so wonderful to see this live performance and how good it sounds! That is true talent!!!
the quality of this is so crystal clear its like it was just recorded yesterday. Morrison has the brooding intensity of a young Brando. If only he could have held it together longer.
I recently purchased Robby’s book, and the chapter on how he got his black eye was just so heartbreaking, but it also shows the type of person that he is; a man with a beautiful soul.
Yes, it is. Jim Morrison has *touched* him.
Please state briefly how he got the black eye
Yes, morrisön.
I'd love to hear how, the story behind that black eye seems like very important to me
@@humanice2 well 1st off jim did not punch him it was a apparently bunch of rednecks harassing Jim so Robbie stepped in
All those musicians are amazing !! This is when music was authentic!
Shocking how much he changed over the course of the next two and a half years.
Definitely a new dimension to the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. Great Horns and Strings, an over all awesome and epic performance. After 50 years, it is not only Historical but Legendary. A great look at the Doors back in 1968.
Kids nowadays should be taught history in music at school and show them these type of videos. We are lucky to have footage of this amazing bands.
Yes, morrisön.
mi az a touch me
I’m so glad the world can see this incredible band and singer now finally thru TH-cam! Nobody today can play like the Doors and no one alive today can sing like Jim Morrison!
A legendary Talent and Band!
We are sure lucky to have youtube, that is for sure. And get to watch groups like the Doors.
Yess!..The Doors....not Jim Morrison & the Doors...it was always The Doors....all great musicians

Jim was high as a kite in the performance. I find it very amusing. Love that guy.
The saxophone soloist is highly underrated.
King Curtis ,solo

Dude brought the house down 🔥
This is magical....Jim's big wild child voice with a orchestral arrangement!
Now this was art and power perfection!
Hellllllo, morrisön.
As you see...
Jim.
He was a beauty!
How beautiful is Jim's voice??
Super cool..use to watch the Smother Brothers..with my parents..back in late 60`s..good times
My favorite band then and now.
Everytime I listen to the doors it's like my mind transcends this reality in an infinite high of poetry and immersion
There's nothing I don't like about that song, best sax solo to end a song ever!!!
I think this one of the best love songs ever written by The Doors, it's got such a positive message for lovers of all ages.
yes, morrisön.
@@acnhtunemusicvids I don't want to poo all over your parade but I think Robbie Kreiger wrote this song.; the same as Light my fire which Jim Morrison only added 1 line to ('and our love become a funeral pyre.')
I think it is, as you see, morrisön?
Jim: "Touch me babe!"
Me: "W/ pleasure."

He sold out to be magical.....hello.

What a great performance!!!!!!!
Jim's Voice was Powerful as he lived. The Sax solo is Fantastic. The Trench of the Horns is haunting and Beautiful at the same time. You will always be Miss and loved. R.I.P. Jim
