I used to own that VHS back in the 1990s in New Jersey. I can't imagine dying at 27. Man, so much life left unlived. So many experiences never experienced. The Doors definitely had a unique sound. Kudos to them.

For those wondering on how Robby Krieger (guitarist) got his black eye: He had been in a car accident days earlier, because of that he almost missed this performance. He wasn't hit by Jim or anything like that. The complete story is his book "Set the Night on Fire".

Great vocalist but in life he was a pretty nasty person. In saying that I have visited his grave in Paris twice and enjoyed a beer at Pierre la Chaise with him. (Well I guess he didn't enjoy it much).
We have visited his grave which isn't clearly marked, and I seem to get a number of (mainly) American tourists asking me where to find it. I'd like to think they remind me of Jimmy. A great vocalist.
Gawd I'm so in love with this man 😩 I love his poetry, his intelligence, his voice and his unapologetic expression of who he was. I've been drawn to him for a while now, and find him endlessly fascinating. He wanted to change the world with The Doors music. It was all about expression. He was such a complex person.
