I've had mild gyno since puberty. I've also been on fin for almost 1 year, it hasn't made it any worse. I do plan on having my glands removed though, I'm in really good shape besides having pointy puffy nips. I'm so tired of people assuming I've taken steroids at some point in my life, I've never taken anything.
Preach ahah. I look like a woman when I have my puffy nips but as soon as I’m cold it enhances my pecs and I look more muscular than I am. Gyno is a bitch
I have a bit of gyno since puberty as well. In my case, which is diffrent than yours, it doesnt really bother me cause its not that visible. But Im just afraid that if I take finasteride it will make it worse
I have the same thing too , you just need to keep your body fat low and ofcourse work out your chest. More compound movements than isolation. Otherwise you will always get that split look down the middle. Unless you like that
Thank you for your video, as always. Helpful and informative. I am a researcher and clinical psychologist, so I am very mindful of nocebo/placebo issues and I am sure these play a role. I am absolutely shocked, however, by the very low rates of breast-related issues that hair specialists and clinicians seem to report, even more in your case given your long and extensive clinical experience. I took 2 tablets of Finasteride (1mg each), and literally I mean just 2, the first one on the Thursday, the second one on the Saturday, as I wanted to take it 3 times a week. Sunday evening I started to experience severe breast pain, sensitivity and itchiness (one-sided). It's been 2 days now, and, while the pain is very slowly subsiding, I still have it, as well as the sensitivity and some very mild swelling. Just to be clear, the pain was so severe that I could not sleep, even after taking painkillers. I can't seem to see any lumps so far, but I am certainly not medically trained to detect them. I am finally seeing my GP tomorrow to get this checked. I am either the most sensitive man to Finasteride-induced Gynaecomastia in the world, or the prevalence rates of Gynaecomastia and/or breast-related issues in Finasteride users are massively underreported/undiagnosed.
More or less the same thing happened to me, I took one 1mg finasteride tablet on Monday and my right nipple has felt massively uncomfortable since Tuesday. I'm not really worried about it, I feel confident it will stop, so I don't think it's nocebo. I've been taking everything I can to try and reduce Test -> Estro conversion (Zinc, eating a bunch of celery/broccoli/cabbage which theoretically can reduce aromatisation (not super scientific but I don't want to start taking more random pills if avoidable)). I am quite overweight and body fat promotes conversion of testosterone to estrogen, as well as DHT counteracting the effect of estrogen in breast tissue, so probably not that strange that it happened. I've stopped taking Fin, and I'm planning to dramatically lower my body fat before deciding whether or not to try it again (depending on how long it takes for this current nipple sensitivity to stop, if it does). I think potentially more warning should be given to people who are overweight, have poor diets or have had any nipple sensitivity in the past. I had my testosterone checked before I started and it was completely normal, 18 nmol/L. I think today is slightly better than yesterday so I'll edit this in a week or so to hopefully update that the sensitivity/tenderness has subsided. I'll see a GP if there's no change in a few days.
@@JasperB12 Thanks Jasper, keep me posted. It's been a week (tomorrow) since my 2nd and last dose of Finasteride and the pain, discomfort and sensitivity are still there. Any updates? Also, did you consider taking DIM? I am considering seeing an endocrinologist privately to act fast.
@@PinkFreud1987 Hi - I considered taking a DIM supplement but I read that in certain situations it can act alongside estrogen, so I'm leery that it could possibly make the situation worse. I think my issues have improved slightly, though it's still annoying and uncomfortable. Finasteride can take a while to clear the system (well more than a week) so that fact that you haven't improved yet doesn't mean that you won't. It makes sense to consider seeing an endocrinologist if you can afford it, but it's worth bearing in mind that even in the worst case that breast tissue development does happen the solution is a surgery that costs £3500-£5500 in the UK. So remember that there is a complete cure for the issue, and that no matter what it won't have a negative impact on your health other than looking unappealing. If you do see an endocrinologist, consider asking them about the potential of taking Raloxifene, which is a drug that can help reduce gyno but that has some potentially very serious side effects (only take with proper guidance). The effect of this drug isn't contingent on starting treatment early, so there's not necessarily a reason to rush to get treatment before seeing if the situation improves naturally, but obviously seek medical guidance if you think that you need to. At the end of the day, gyno is something that has an absolute cure if you get surgery, it's not really a "major" surgery either, so it's probably best to try and stay somewhat relaxed about it. The only difference is how much it will cost to achieve a positive outcome. I'm planning to continue to take Zinc and lose weight while waiting to see if the situation improves naturally, with a view to taking Raloxifene or getting surgery if the situation does not improve (which I find unlikely). Best of luck man.
@@JasperB12 Thanks man, those are all really good points. Let's hope it improves without treatment. My GP said that 2 tablets of Finasteride cannot give me permanent breast tissue, which was reassuring, but I guess it also depends on how sensitive the individual is, and, as you also highlighted, Finasteride has a long binding tissue affinity, which lasts well over a week. My only concern is that, should breast tissue form (e.g., a lump), then surgery will be the only option, which I'd like to avoid at all costs. Not just because it's still a surgical procedure, but also because of the cost. Best of luck to you too, I'll keep you posted (feel free to do the same)!
Same happened to me, I was shocked how aggressive the pain was and how the doctor that prescribed it wasn't even aware that gynecomastia was a side effect
before starting Propecia it's important to have your estrogen levels checked so they are not over the limit because Propecia increases your testosterone by 15 percent which then converts to your estrogen. if your estrogen levels are over 40 pg/ ml you're in the danger zone of getting a gyno. with this being said it's still possible to develop gyno if your estrogen levels are normal before starting the medication buts it's very rare all depends on how your body adapts to the medication, your diet and lifestyle also play a role. I just started my dose at 0.25 mg daily and i had my blood work done and all my hormones are in accurate levels
This video came in the right time. Started Fin 2 weeks ago 0.5mg 3x per week and the only side i got was this weird chest disconfort. Great content as always. I just wish you touched base on one thing that I feel like needs an answer. For those of us who have had gyno in the past, can we redevelop the condition through the use of finasteride? I had corrective surgery for gyno, and I don't think I can afford to get it again.

I developed gyno despite the really low dose of finastride. I'm lean and go to the gym regularly. I've been on finastride for almost 2months now. The first 2weeks I was on 1mg per later ive cut it down to 0.125mg per day. Despite the low dosage I developed gyno. I don't know if I should completely stop finastride or lower the dose even more(I don't even think it's physically possible to lower the dose even more)
Hi doctors, please do a new video about gynecomastia as side effect from finasteride, because i wanna start finasteride, but this specific side effect is pushing me away from even trying one finasteride pill , i wanna know how we can make sure if someone is safe from getting gynecomastia, before starting finasteride , is there any specific blood tests of semen, that we can take before starting ?
Does anyone here experienced gynaecomastia after chemotherapy for testicular cancer? (I had been taking finasteride 1mg almost daily for 9 years without developing gynaecomastia) I find a lot of contradictory information on whether it disappears by itself or not. And if so, after how many months? My endocrinologist thinks it's unlikely to disappear by itself at the age of 36.
I was waiting for such a vid,,,, I need your answer.. I have had gyno since childhood, I also have reduced muscle mass and low testosterone. Can I use fin? Sexual health is not important for me, I just do NOT want to worsen my gyno
Been on 0.5mg/day dutasteride for almost 6 months and now my right nipple changed shape and is slightly bigger than the left one. Gonna stop taking the pills i guess
I’ve had gyno since the age of 13. Obviously now it’s just the formed tissue but pretty pointy and embarrassing. I hope to get it removed over the next few years, so I don’t care if my finasteride causes any more issues if eventually it will settle and I’ll get surgery anyway😅
That´s a good idea, I have had gyno from my adolescence, and now, i am taking finasteride and I see my breast in another way, it is strange, but I'll get surgery
I have witnessed shock loss of existing hairs after transplant so my query is could v have shock loss after PRP procedure as micro needling during procedure can undermine the normal hair follicles?
I had gynecomastia surgery 8 years ago. The issue was resolved but as we know, surgery don’t correctly does NOT remove the entire gland so as to preserve Asthetics and prevent concave deformity - that being said, am I at risk for it coming back if I take finasteride? I’m really scared about this and this is the sole reason why I do not get on it though I need it.
Can you have multiple spots of gyno around the breast? Like not just one spot behind the nipple but additionally bumps around upper chest, side chest, etc?
I had gyno starting finasteride 3x week and after 2 weeks pain started, after 4 weeks i had lumps, ordered arimdiex(aromatase inhibitor) took it small dose 0.25mg every 3-4days and stopped AI after pain subsided 2 weeks later and now I am using 1mg finasteride everyday without arimidex without any pain for 3.5 months. Lumps shrinked and they are unnoticable.
@@Mario-fn7po like dull pain in general area of nipple like lower 1/3 of pectoralis major going up to armpit... at first i was like its nocebo but after lumps appeared it was confirmation that it is gyno.
Gyno Update. I’ve done 40mg ED of Tomoxifin for 2 weeks & 20mg ED for 2 weeks prior, total treatment was 1 month. It has reduced it somewhat from one side when I upped to 40mg but it has stopped shrinking for the past week. I don’t think it’s working anymore. It is a disc like rubbery 2mm thick lump slightly outside surrounding the nipple area on my left, my right is 100% clear. I barely used any finasteride and I got it a few weeks after I quit. My only option now is try Roloxifine or get the surgery ASAP because it is uncomfortable to live with. I can’t wear a tight wetsuit without the hard disc lump digging into my breast and causing some pain and severe discomfort.

Finasteride absolutely makes my breasts feel puffy and bloated. I ran out of pills for a week and it resolved itself, but immediately came back within 2 days of starting back up again. It’s visible and annoying but I guess I’d rather have my hair…
@@fhowland Hey, thanks for responding. I started 1mg/day on Sept 4th. Noticed slight enlargement of my left pectoral/breast two days ago (no pain or tenderness) And have stopped taking it in the hopes it subsides and I can restart at a lower dose .5mg 3x a week, maybe even 0.25mg 3x a week. Did you have puffy/bloatedness on both sides or only one side?
@@Preacher_. interesting.. let me know how it goes. It’s equally on both sides. Also it may just be my imagination but I swear my thighs feel slightly bloated or more fatty than normal.
@Fred Howland Just be careful. I had the same mindset when I was on Finasteride. Within a month I did notice gyno growing but I also gained quite a bit of weight while on Fin, so I chalked it up to the weight gain and said I'd lose it later since I valued my hair more. After 5 months of Fin, couldn't take the side effects so I stopped and began the weight loss journey. I got back into my healthy weight range(lost 40 pounds) and of course, it did turn out to be classic gyno. So now it's kind of devastating because my hair hasn't changed at all two years after stopping Fin, but all I got to show for it was Gyno. If I had known I wouldn't of bothered as most likely I'll have to drop the $5k-$10k on gyno surgery that I could of just used for a good hair transplant should I need/want it in the future.
I was using Finasteride for 3 months and was using 2mg every week. My bloods showed my Estradiol level was low but I noticed my right nipple kept staying puffy compared to my left nipple and I went for a scan and it showed mild induced Gynocemastia. I want to carry on using Finasteride but what can I do so it doesn’t cause my tissue to grow?
Thanks guys for your video, I started with low dose of finasteride 1/2 tablet a day for 4 months and didn’t see any effects so i moved to 1 full tablet a day is that the right thing to do?
I would just keep doing the half tablet or just take the 1mg every other day. It’s not gonna change your scalp dht levels at this point either way unless you got off it for awhile. It’s just what’s more convenient for you at the point.
0.8 is the optimal dosage daily, since you cannot get the precise quantity, you better go with 1 mg everyday... For those who recommend 0.5 mg, don't seem to fathom the half life of Fin in your body... 1mg in itself is a low dosage, further microdosing is not as efficient.
I think there may be some correlation with taking finasteride and living a sedentary lifestyle and eating garbage that would probably make the extra testosterone convert into more estrogen logically but if you eat healthy and do things to increase testosterone like lifting weights doing squats high-intensity interval training you probably won't have an issue is my guess
Your bro logic is comical, I had perfect hormones before and after finasteride.. was in the best shape of my life and was always on the go and still ended up with severe side effects
Hi! love your channel. Do you have any knowledge how I can get oral minoxidil? I live in the netherlands and my general doctor doesn't want to prescribe it. Do you have any advice?
You would lower blood pressure from head to toe, just to dilate the microveins in your scalp? Just use it topically with crushed fin pills in the minoxidil.
Hey doc. I had minor gyno from finasteride 1mg/day and I lowered my dosage and now the gyno is no longer developping. The question now is; If I get the gyno surgically removed, will I get gyno again if I were to go on 1mg/day again?
Yeh I have a similar issue except can’t seem to tolerate a new challenge of finasteride after two years. Plus the gyno never went entirely and is not permanent tissue (as confirmed by ultrasound). I wish they’d expanded more on what therapeutic pathways they take when someone presents with gyno. Esp for surgery
It can most the time within six months to one year yes. go look at studies on it. just like how it reverses for MOST teens that get gyno during puberty.
Doc can I crush finasteride tablets and mix them with topical minoxidil solution? Will it work? I just don't want to take oral finasteride and In my country they don't sell topical finasteride so it's really hard for me to get them.
@Daniel LockHart therapy? For what? I know people that got side effects from taking oral finasteride. But they stopped having those side effects when they switched to topical. It's been proven in many studies that topical finasteride reduce much less serum dht compared to oral (even in higher doses). Even the doctor in this channel said in one of the video that topical finasteride reduce chances of getting side effects.
Here's the issue, you will not have any positive effect from doing that. You would be throwing money away. Most of the pill is filler content, only a tiny % is actual finasteride. That tiny % will be then disolved in lots of liquid/alcohol/minox (not the intended vehicle), and the probability of that being absorved efffectively by the scalp is almost none. You would have to crush tens of pills to get a decent amount of finas per ml or liquid, and again that does not guarantee it will be absorved by the scalp. No point in doing this.
4 weeks into finasteride I noticed a hard ball under my left aereola. Impressed on it and it was painful. Also Sex with my hot wife was still good a solid A, but it wasn’t the A++ type sex. the drug definitely did something and it’s hard to say what. Like the drive wasn’t as strong. So, I quit, and within two days the ball under my breast didn’t hurt when i pressed it, and the sex went back to A++. I’m using only minoxidil now and will gladly go bald if I have to. You have to consider you are signing up to take this DHT blocker for the rest of your life. That means in 15 years you will still be blocking your dht. Doctors don’t know how that changes you. It’s a drug used to transition men to women. Just some things to think about.
@@matthews2965 He doesn’t seem to follow TH-cam notifications, but I will tell you about my experience. I took the finasteride for one week, a total of four doses because I had set out to take 3 mg per week, or one 1 mg tablet every Monday/Wednesday/Friday. I started on a Friday and took my last dose the following Friday. Unfortunately, the finasteride caused me to develop a terrible rash in my groin and scrotal area. I treated it as a jock itch (which I have never had before in my life), and used anti-fungal cream, spray and cortisone cream for the discomfort which was not only itching but burning and sometimes with sharp pains when I walked too much or sat in the wrong position. I have since abandoned trying to use oral finasteride. I had purchased a three-month supply which is still sitting in the cabinet. I may try a topical finasteride down the road, but I really don’t want to experience that discomfort again, so I’m reluctant to try even that in case the rash recurs. I’d never had a problem like that before, and it was pretty miserable because my job requires a lot of walking and moving around, and it was painful by the end of the day for a couple of weeks.
That is incorrect. Finasteride and Dutasteride are not prescribed to women even if you wanted it. I’m a woman with androgenetic alopecia so I know. And if you listened to the content of the video, finasteride blocks DHT which results in accumulated testosterone. More testosterone in women is completely unwanted and can masculinise us. Finasteride still works in most men hence why it’s said that only a minority of men report side effects; those men have a more active aromatase enzyme which converts testosterone into estrogen. The men who lack aromatase activity are the ones who do better on the drug. Basically if the drug works or not depends on your genetics. The drugs used for MTF trans are spirolonactone, cyproterone acetate & more. Trans people do not take finasteride to feminize.

I'm taking finasteride 1mg/day for hair loss but after some period my blood test showed that I have very low testosterone, oestradiol peaked. I also developed gynecomastia, with tender mass under the nipples. I was given Tamoxifen 10mg/day to counter the effects of developing enlarged man-boobs and lower the oestradiol levels. I am just quite worried at times my body hormones will go haywire along the way -- am I getting the right advice? Or should I change my endocrinologist?
Do thick/widened ducts from Gyno reverse? My swelling is going down but I have a lump underneath my nipple only in my left breast. It’s not Gyno and can confirm it’s very thick ducts. It’s quite painful when I push the nipple on my ducts with my finger. Got my follow up appointment from my endocrinologist this Wednesday after getting blood work done and not sure what he will prescribe me to help. Can tamoxifen reverse enlarged widened ducts? Never taking finasteride again. Already spent so much money on medications & specialist appointments to reverse this side effect.
Hi doctors! I am a 27 years old male with mild male pattern baldness, and when I started taking 1 mg of fin every other day I started feeling some annoying tenderness in the nipples after one week or so. I had a tiny bit of gynecomastia in my puberty (completely unnoticeable and only on the right side, so basically nothing) and I was afraid this could cause it again, so I stopped for a week or two and the tenderness went away completely. I started again at 0.5 every other day, but unfortunately, started feeling this sensitivty again after 1 or 2 weeks. Now I've been on 0.25 mg every other day for a week and it doesn't seem to make it better :S What would you suggest? Do you think this tenderness could be a sign of a risk for gyno? I am a lean, sporty and overall healty guy, if that helps. I think I might try 0.25 1x a week and slowly go up, but I would love to know your opinion. Thank you very much for all the stuff you put out!
Get off of it for a few months and use minoxidil instead. If you are experiencing any gyno symptoms at your age imagine how your body is going to treat finasteride in 20 years when you will be still taking it. Just don’t put yourself through this. It’s a drug used to transition men to women. But if you want to know for sure if your gyno is from this drug, get off of the drug for 4 months, and then measure your breast and start taking .25mg/day and see if it comes back. Then you’ll know for sure.

I am relatively skinny guy so, I can confirm it is not just placebo. Really hope it will goes away and reverses, will have proper examination in a couple of days. Will probably never touch finasteride again :(
You stopped the medication quickly so you will probably get some regression (I speak from experience). If it hasn't subsided by three months you will have to have the swelling siphoned / excised depending on the enlargement (fat or gland). Good luck.
@@Mark-ud7uo how long did u take finasteride for and how long it took for the gyno to go away? Was it fat or gland? And lastly have you tried re-challenging the fin again?
@@klepto4121 I was taking 1mg just twice a week and everything was fine but after about 8 months or so I began feeling buzzing / tingling around both nipples and within a few days my chest developed a soft fatty swelling along both sides. This has happened to me twice. I immediately stopped the medication both times and it took about 2-3 months for my chest to return to normal. There was no palpable gland that I could feel; however, if I hadn't stopped the medication I'm sure it would have developed. I believe this occurs because of the buildup of Finasteride in the system over time as the doctors have explained in previous videos. This buildup can be mitigated by taking a month off of the medication every 5-6 months to let it wash out of the system. I may try this recommendation soon. I'm thinking of taking just 1mg once a week and taking a month off every 5-6 months. Finasteride is a powerful drug and it doesn't take much to maintain your hair. One dose just once or twice a week is probably enough for most people. Good luck to you. Gynecomastia is psychologically worse than hair loss IMO.

There cannot be a "cure" beacuse hairloss is not a disease. Its a condition based on genetics, so now, we cannot change genetics. We just can treat the consequences and processed kicked off by your genes, which is what finas do.
@@theledebb well that's flawed logic, many diseases are genetic, I would say having overly sensitive follicles to DHT and or producing too much DHT could be the disease itself, so Fin is best treatment
Gyno doesn't reverse when you stop finasteride. Once solid lumps are formed they don't go away. I was able to reverse super new gyno signs many years ago with Letro but that was just caught very quickly and was mainly just puffy nipples (no lumps really). I've had the right side surgically removed 7 or 8 years ago... and it seems to still possibly be growing now... but I want to keep "growing it out" to know for sure. I've had multiple visits with endocrinologists... had ultrasounds... had mammograms... I've seen breast specialists... we're tracking this thing. For sure there are new cysts forming under my left side (the side where we never removed the gland) so I'm still just letting these boob(s) grow a while longer until we 100% have measurements of the rate at which they are growing whatever tissue is growing. If I find out that the side that was already removed is STILL growing now that I'm on fin... I'll have to stop taking fin and go get the surgery on both sides. I am not going to drop 10k on surgery and then continue taking fin if this little experiment proves to me that with my genetics I can still regrow gyno after already having the gland removed. Hope that all made sense. Feeling sick the last few days and maybe I'm slow haha.

Hi could somebody with experience please help me. I’ve got breast swelling from finasteride. My nipples have become pointy. I’ve been off the drug for 2 months and they’ve gone down a lot. I restarted the drug a month ago when things got better (my mistake) and it swelled up pointy again. It’s gone down again after stopping but not completely. I don’t feel any hard gland lump or ball underneath beside fat cell balls around my gland and breast which I always had. Do you think my pointy swelled nipples will eventually regress to flat after a few more months off? I am so scared of getting the surgery and cut up. I’m so depressed. I’m going to go see my dr this week and have a mammogram/ultra sound done to see if there is any tissue growth. I don’t feel anything though. I have seen 3 doctors and all refused to prescribe me Tamoxifen/Raloxifine and said to just give it time. Prior to my breast and nipple swelling up I was experiencing some itchiness/sensation in my nipples and didn’t know what it was. 1 week later my breast swelled up and became very pointy immediately.
I noticed I had pointy nipples before taking fin. I was on topical solution before taking it but I don't think it caused it. It maybe due to the weather being colder now. Your nipples go hard if the body is cold. Something to consider. Keep a eye on it though. If your breasts start to grow closer together or form mounds and start to hurt that will be the sign. Otherwise it just body fat.
i used it for 49 days by cutting proscare into 4 pcs and taking each every day i felt tenderness and pain in my chest and around my nipples i stopped it immeditally now four days since i stopped but still from time to time have the pain feeling i dont know what to do

I've just read some studies that say a few patients developed breast cancer after taking finasteride. These patients were taking 5 mg, but there may be some correlation between taking finasteride and breast cancer. There is an extremely tiny risk, but it is there.
@@noquit1838 Yeah probably. But generally I don't think that the risk of breast cancer (which is SO rare that we shouldn't even consider it as a side effect) should hold us back from taking fina.
After how many months of finasteride use did the affected patients show gynecomastia? What was their mean age? Is it even worth it to use aromatase inhibitors weighting cost/benefit?
Hi i started experiencing hair loss after my docotor put me on peroxetine 20mg, although i have stopped the medication and the hair loss has stpooed but during the one year course i lost a lot of hair, will finasteroid help reverse or stimulate regrowth of my lost hairs.
I had strong breast and testicle pain as well as breast growth on 1mg ED. Now I restarted with .25mg. I am again at the point where my breasts are constantly hurting and noticably growing. What can I do? I think about taking an aromatase inhibitor. Is this feasible in the long run? Is there anyone who is taking an aromatase inhibitor along with finasteride? I dont want to crash my hormones, but I also dont want to lose my hair. Although staying healthy would be a higher priority.. there is still hair systems as last resort.
@@wasteman3259 ye, by now I did that. Tried topical fin and pyril. Everything makes my nipples grow. And they dont even go back completely.
I also have pseudogyno and the idea of it being worse is what is stopping me from taking fenasteride
I have the same thing too , you just need to keep your body fat low and ofcourse work out your chest. More compound movements than isolation. Otherwise you will always get that split look down the middle. Unless you like that
@@darius8717 I'm in the same situation. Did you take finasteride?
Desperately needed to see this
Thank you for your video, as always.
My estrogen wasn't high but I got gyno anyway

@Fred Howland
Just be careful.

Nothing? Not sure you will see much effect at 1mg either then
I would just keep doing the half tablet or just take the 1mg every other day. It’s not gonna change your scalp dht levels at this point either way unless you got off it for awhile. It’s just what’s more convenient for you at the point.
1mg is the same as 5mg. I would try to take topical Finesteride instead.
Oh I misread. Are you doing micro needling or minoxidil?

You have to consider you are signing up to take this DHT blocker for the rest of your life. That means in 15 years you will still be blocking your dht. Doctors don’t know how that changes you. It’s a drug used to transition men to women. Just some things to think about.
Has the mass under your left atrial disappeared? I’ve just started finasteride this week.
Hey man. Good points. And I am also curious how the lump has progressed/regressed?
Why should you when take this drug if you can destroy everything but your hair
What about blocking the benefits of dht like libido

I'm taking finasteride 1mg/day for hair loss but after some period my blood test showed that I have very low testosterone, oestradiol peaked. I also developed gynecomastia, with tender mass under the nipples. I was given Tamoxifen 10mg/day to counter the effects of developing enlarged man-boobs and lower the oestradiol levels. I am just quite worried at times my body hormones will go haywire along the way -- am I getting the right advice? Or should I change my endocrinologist?

Update on this one
@@strangeshows8912 Got really noticeable. even with a shirt on. It went back to the baseline level after a few months
Now I've been on 0.25 mg every other day for a week and it doesn't seem to make it better :S
What would you suggest?
Then you’ll know for sure.
perhaps you should try dutasteride?

I am almost 3 weeks of finasteride, i used it for less than a month but stopped bcs it gave me gyno and my nipples were very sensible. Now the sensitivity is going away but thd gyni remains, suppostly it will take a few months for it to go completely away
Hey I am using Finasteride since more then year and now from the last month I am applying minoxidil I have seen increase hair fall whats is the reason before I have not seen anything when I was on Finasteride
That’s what minoxidil does, it causes you to shed hair for the first few months so you can grow thicker strands.
Sir... Is there any chances of male breast cancer. By the side effect of Finastride
Took finasteride for 1 week 1mg per day, started developing gyno onymy left side. Now it has been 10 days since I stopped, the pain has gone away, but the whole left side of the chest area feels inflamed and puffed.

For many, finasteride is the “cure” but it’s still technically a treatment because you always have to be on it.
@@MattThe1in27-1Hamill yeaaa, i dont consider finasteride as a cure.. Also it has many risks associated
There cannot be a "cure" beacuse hairloss is not a disease. Its a condition based on genetics, so now, we cannot change genetics. We just can treat the consequences and processed kicked off by your genes, which is what finas do.
Yeah Fin...
So you took fin and developed gyno ? And when you stopped there was no reversal of it? And lastly what is your age and weight
