Messiah engineering is so amazing, even today most modern modchip like Modbo 5.0 (release in 2010) still using Original Messiah method to decoding sony protection method.
Watching this gave me PTSD from installing mine 20 years ago, LOL! My wire management looks like spaghetti. I had to install a small SPST switch in mine for PS1 games to play in color.
The first no swap modchip for the PS2 (except for DVD backup games which did require a swap with an original DVD game) was the Neo 4 chip. Anyway, where did you get a Messiah chip in 2021/2022???
As you just said, the Neo 4 boots DVD games by swapping. So it was not 100% no swap ;) The Messiah was. I have a lot of old school chips that came out of faulty consoles that i refurbished. I have a Neo 4 too.
@@goumods7762 Not completely no swap, but no swap. I have 3 Neo 4 chips and 2 Neo 4.1 chips which fixed the tray timing issue for swapped DVD-R games. I also have an original infinity matrix chip. Never could get my hands on a messiah or a DMS3 chip though.

The closest to a DMS3 here in 2022 is the Mars Pro chip which is a clone of the DMS3 or DSM4 lite and you have to buy them in bulk from West in Games. I wish I would have picked up a DMS3 and messiah 20 years ago along with an Apple chip, ghost 2 chip, and Crystal chip.
Fantastic wire management! I found this video because I bought a PS2 slim with a Messiah 750 installed, but I can't seem to get PS1 games running. I was searching the web trying to find a manual of sorts to find out if the Messiah chip has anything to do with that.
@@amritpalhh9836 Croc Legend of the Gobbos. In the end I removed the mod chip and it played PS1 games just fine (I got a copy of Crash Bandicoot at that time, and it played just fine too). Unfortunately the lens had a lot of difficulty reading PS2 games (very long load times), so in the end I just ordered a replacement lens. Now it is running perfectly.
The cable management in your PC case must be perfect.

Is the chip compatible with NTSC consoles?
My ps2 has been in shelf for more than 10 years now. I can not remember how to boot it up with Messiah2 mod, can you refresh my memory, please?

Sounds like a great collection. I was lucky, the Messiah and DMS3 were some of the first chips i got in my collection a while ago

Is it possible to mod ps2 fat for install 2.5 SATA HDD without network adapter?
I dont see why not. All you need is an IDE to SATA adapter and the ide wire points on the board

That solder points directly in the integrateds are very dificult I almost f tup a client's PS2 fat console I made it work well after several hours.

Your chip is either a clone of the DMS4 lite(like the super-7) or a clone of the matrix infinity
