Yes, you do things that Aggravate the Crap out of me sometimes, like not using the 9650 to move dead 55 combine. Remember, Bigger is Usually Better, especially when it comes to moving Dead Equipment. Keep it up Ross! And by the way, Thanks for oiling the Handyman Jack, or as I know it, The Hi-Lift Jack. See, We told you it would work better 😉👍🚜🇺🇲💪

I have spent most of my life working for farm equipment dealerships, working on farms and farming myself for a time and I prefer the vintage of equipment that you run over the new electronic crap they have today. Equipment from that era was built to last as we can see by it still operating today for you. I love watching you operate your equipment as well as repairing and fixing up your tractors and equipment. I was telling someone the other day of how your 55 combine had been sitting out for several years and in a little while you had it running and it purred like kitten. So keep up the great work, many of us enjoy watching your channel.

Hey Ross! I enjoy every one of your videos and enjoy the stories you share! I have commented a few times, but only as a suggestion, and not as criticism. Every one is entertaining and makes my day! I'm an Allis collector but still enjoy your channel! As far as chains go....I have one or two that I have stretched so badly, you have 2 choices, you can either drag it behind you, or push it in front of you if you're in the mood! 😂😂 Seriously though, caution is needed for doing things like that. When I was a kid, I was helping dad with a tree in a fence line. He had a cable up in it, and I was on our WD45 on the other end. I jerked the old, apparently rotten cable, and it snapped about 10' behind me. It recoiled, and whipped up and over the tractor. As you know, the seat is to the right of center, and I wasn't very big, thank God!.... I guess you could call that a near death experience! 😮

That was me on the 37 loader 😂. You’re 💯 right on the hydraulics on it. The loader that replaced the 37 was the 143, it was a little heavier built, had the dual acting boom cylinders, but still had the single tilt cylinder. A lot of the 37’s were trip buckets too.

Yep, that's the clutch. Those 2 set screws on the hub with the lock nut are the pins that lock up the clutch. the electro magnetic unit is turned on and off by the switch in the cab. On my old 55 it failed because that condenser looking thing by the switch failed. Got a new one and good to go. I agree with you on the trailer. The similarity between your collection and methods, and mine is unreal! Are we Sure we're not related? Ha Ha! Yes I have a 28 44 in nearly the same state of unrepair. And it also needs a manifold. I guess I'll have to fabricate one from plate stock. The ones offered by Rosewood are for the smaller model. I bought one for our 17-28 and it needed a bit of fitting with a grinder but worked out good. But wife troubles and working full time and farming has put most all of my tractor projects on hold for a good while. I guess when I turn up my toes, Aumann will have to sell all of my junk! Don't worry about the trolls, their on every channel. Their only enjoyment is to piss off every one they can. I enjoy your efforts because it encourages me to work on mine. BTW, Oil the Jack! Ha Ha! Couldn't resist that one. My late neighbor had a good selection of those Handyman jacks, every one of them was bent to varying degrees!😜

First I find you have high entertainment value. I'm a Deere guy but I have acquired a couple of old Ollies, three if you count my little Wire Fox Terrier. So I wanted to learn more about them. When I was out of highschool I was working on a 50 cow registered dairy. The money was put to the cows, not equipment. We did maintenance to keep things in working order but never updated any of it. We used a John Deere 1020 gas tractor with a 48 loader. The same issues, wheel bearing every six months and that single dump cylinder would always blow the seals. We eventually figured out the rod was bent. No doubt a result of ramming it into the haylage and corn silage we stored in AgBags. None the less, the little tractor was on duty a minimum of three hours a day cleaning barn yard, feeding cows and once a week dumping sand in the free stalls plus whatever else we could think of to torchure the little Deere. The cows are gone now but the little tractor still there if something is asked of it.

Hi Ross nice video. While you were going over projects that you needed to get to I was wondering when you might work at the overhaul of the 1355 possible heritage tractor. I was assuming it was a priority but maybe not . Thanks

Hey Ross where I’m from those Hi-Lift jacks are known as Bloomfield jacks, and the old wooden handle jacks is a better jack than the new pipe handle ones I have both kinds my opinion of course

When you putting stuff down in cylinders there's some stuff out there called free all and also the second time it's called fluid film I had super great luck with both of them it's an awesome penetration oil is actually free all saved like four motors for me

Did you (or the previous owner) take off the plates below the grille on the 4-180 or did some come like that? On a side note its always been funny to me how nearly every early White 4wd with no grill lights from the factory have aftermarket lights on the front.

That’s one of the things that depreciates a bunch the second you drive it off of the dealers lot. I think it’s crazy that a new pick up like my red one is $90,000.

My 1st combine was a 7700 Deere and the electric clutch went out. We just bolted it solid with 2 bolts. I hated that combine.

That's the reason I watch . I like oliver stuff , but also all the other stuff . Not much of a ford fan . Worked on vehicles for 30 years and still going . I still watch anyway , if I had a complaint I would keep it to myself. I don't. I comment only for suggestions, you do as you please . Good video!!

We had a JD 2020 with the #37 loader and ROPS canopy too! It wasn't perfect, but very capable and VASTLY superior to what it replaced: a Farmall H with trip bucket and narrow front - which is the most awful tractor I ever had the displeasure to know. (Can't decide if my favourite was the Super 88 or the 2255, but the green machines were always better, whether Oliver or Deere.)

Ross , dad had a 45 and two 95 combines. The 1959 model 95 had a Norwich sickle drive. It was a lot better then the John Deere sickle drive. On the 1969 95 dad thought the reel turned to fast. Dad went to Far machine shop Norwich , kansas. They made him a bigger belt pulley. The brothers were old then. That was 25 plus yrs ago. The last I heard the foundry and machine shop was now a cnc air craft shop. We did not have an electric clutch on any combine. Maybe a shop like Far machine shop made one!

Ross I don't think your tires on that white are going to be as bad as you think I have seen in the past the prices have kind of come down I know I commented on how much mine cost the price is since then have come down and I also put fluid in fluid is not cheap to put fluid in a tire is $4 a gallon my guess would on your tractor both tires costing about $2,300

Is the 4-180 on 23.1-34 rubber? If so I feel your pain. I had that size with matching duals on the back of a 1850 Oliver. When I priced new I about fell over.

77 is not hard at all. Call Korves Oliver they should have one and it’s probably around $400.
