Only a true yard person can appreciate all of your work . Every time we have friends and family over and someone comments to me on how beautiful our home is it makes all the work we do worthwhile. Owning a home with property is a 24-7 job . It’s 100% of what you make it to be .
If that is actually OCD, it sure pays off well. If not, it still works to make things sharp. Looking good there Neil. The social aspect makes all that work worthwhile. Now you just need the trailer size whole hog BBQ pit/smoker nearby so the cook can socialize too. Pulled pork and ribs! Yum.
Your place is amazing. I love watching farm equipment sculpting landscape. Only wish I could get a place like this one day. I've never been a factory person I've always wanted to be a farmer working outside and digging holes. Sadly the money is in the factory but not good enough to build a farm 😕.
Watched all the videos of the building of the pool-pond and haven't seen your channel pop up in my feed for a while, so it was nice to see what it looks like now. Beautiful pool-pond and back yard. :)
The TH-cam algorithm never disappoints! I went from looking for a pool heater to finding this channel. I’m putting off the pool heater, I need to figure out how I’m going to tell my wife that I’m digging a hole in our backyard.. Well done, easiest subscribe button yet.
You finally finished the pond! It looks FANTASTIC and so refreshing. One suggestion though. The far side looks bare. You might consider adding some landscaping around the pond to add interest and give it a more natural appearance. OCD or not, everyone should have a homestead that looks as good as yours. Happy swimming!
Don’t be ashamed of having OCD. Half of your viewers probably also have it (me included) and find great joy in watching you create an environment that is soothing to us! Lol😂
Man I'd be tempted to go swimming in it. As hot as it's been lately. An ice cold beer and a floating things to kick back on, oh man, I call that a good time after a day's work.
This video made me really emotional. Working with the family, getting the girls learning new skills, making core memories and showing the world how farmers adapt and overcome issues. Thank you for being great!
Yup, Adam down in PA came up to Neil to do a pond video and that was how I found DDD. The best videos have Neil's wife looking askance at something he is up to...
We're implement namers also....started years ago when the first John Deere got semi- retired from taking hay. Now "Poppin' John" still serves the farm occasionally. 💚💚
Try EverEdge around the grass / tree area and the grass / grave area, keeps the edge nice and sharp and reduce the maintenance, not cheap but we’ll appreciate each time you look at it
Love the videos and glad I found the channel. Nice to see family friendly entertainment and some ideas thrown in for projects to try! Hey I kinda like the tire bases but you now us guys, motorheads!
There’s a great hymn called “Come Thou Fount of Many Blessings”. One of the great lines from that hymn is, “here I raise my Ebenezer”. An “Ebenezer” is a rock formation erected to commemorate God’s faithfulness. You could look at your rock formations as your Ebenezer to God’s faithfulness to you and your family…just a thought.
You can get some larger planters with flowers and bury the original base in them. Have part of pipe buried with adapter. If your barrel and bench start looking a little too weathered, might try a power wash on low to remove dirt from wood, then a clear protectant. Sorry I probably shouldn't give ideas for the Honey Do list, but they will look nicer and last longer.
Thanks for including us for things like this. This is the reward as a direct result of you and your family’s hard work! Glad you get to have events like this now and get to enjoy it, it looks like a wonderful time and it warms the soul!
another good video. For the umbrella stands you should get a couple of wooden barrels and do the same thing that you did to conceal the well head. you will also end up with another 2 tables
First time I’ve ever stumbled on you . I appreciate all that work and glad you love it. I wish i would’ve known you before you started this after hearing what you both really wanted and could’ve built along side you or designed it. It’s a very interesting design and does kind of fit your OCD simplistic taste but your cute wife would’ve loved what i would’ve added to this so would your kids. One thing i learned is this Pond guy you showed and i peaked at his stuff and he’s way below me and im shocked i never heard of him and i dont have a channel or social on what i do. I am a General Contractor as my base but took a heavy interest in ponds, waterfalls, water features crazy landscapes, pavers, lighting and so on. I’m from NY and built many there for years then i moved to Florida and did it for 25yrs and took it from zero to building million dollar ponds and waterfalls and even pools with islands and so on. I’ve traveled to Pennsylvania to transform rich peoples land of 10 acres into a theme park feel. With waterfalls bigger than your barn. I’ve worked for celebrities here in Florida and everyone rich here. I crushed the businesses that were here forever and some tried to bump me off-yes you read that right. I find your whole interesting but i feel like if my boots wood dirty i would ruin even your driveway lol. I do customers like you that were a challenge and most of the ones in northern states were similar. In Florida i can go crazy because people want a crazy tropical oasis- so most customers i do the inside of their home and the outside so the whole theme of their place continues from inside to everything outside. Don’t take this as an insult at all. I know what this takes and you definitely did stuff your way and a little of the hard way. That machine that showed up and blew the pea gravel into the pond I’ve never seen and i need to research that. I can definitely appreciate other people’s minds and when i design stuff for people i sit in their home and they never notice i see what they buy and spend their money on in their home and it instantly tells me what design will make them go crazy. It’s a talent when you see what ppl buy with their eyes and money. I will keep checking back to see as you see and feel what you’re missing on this project and how the whole seen around it comes together-I’m pretty confident on what you do in other areas. Oh and yes weed fabric is a scam and has no use ever. It actually grows weeds and creates the environment for it. But you can’t tell ppl some ppl that-just like brainwashed Florida ppl that think they have to run home and backwash their pool during rain because they think it will overflow and flood their home. Most of them are not from Florida but i can’t explain to them that it’s not a tub filling on your second story bathroom. It’s no different than your pond-it would be just as silly that you’d have to run home and drain it if it’s raining because it’s going to flood your house if it gets to the top. I’m talking even Doctors and lawyers can’t understand this. I made one neighbor just watch her pool fill and not flood anything or her house, lol.
If the tire bases for umbrellas don't work, you can find any type of bucket and add concrete and place the metal tubing in to dry and voila, the wind is no problem GREST JOB!
Neil keep your umbrella holders and just skirt them in recycled grey plastic ... I use recycled plastic boarss for all types of stuff including making furniture...
You might pound your umbrella pipes into the ground at the outside edge and inside edges of your entertainment area’s so you don’t need tires or stands and drill them so for fast pins
Your pond looks so amazing and what a great place to throw a party! I love the old tires. I think they add a little rustic charm to all the new. I remember when you first started digging the hole for the pond and it has been so fun watching the journey. Love that your TH-cam income bought you the patio furniture too. 😊🌸🌺
Man..... What a great American guy!!!! Absolutely 💯 love it... Hard working..great father.. n husband... Damn we need more of these great 👍👍👍 family stories!!!
If it were me, I’d Spray paint those tire umbrella stands black. They’ll blend in a little more, matching the umbrella pole. They’d look at least 10% better, I bet.
Emmanuel.
Half whiskey barrels with a hole in the middle upside down will cover the tires up! And maybe double as another table.
Great idea
Great video Please have Happy 4th July and safe one
Good idea
Great idea!
I thought exact same thing. It would look nice! Maybe brand 3 D's on them?
Nothing like hosting a party to force the completion of the final touches. You all take pride in your property and it shows! Well done. 👍
That threat of an upcoming party or get together is the best motivation to get something done. It's an imposed deadline!
Haha, very true
Hey Neil have another party for your rehab of your truck & F750
Most major landscape projects in my life have been a result of someone’s upcoming bday party 😂
It’s not OCD Neil; it’s being a proud homeowner and father!
Yes it’s OCD
It's actually CDO if you're really OCD....
Man. He totally sounds like a young Kevin Costner. When he isn’t on camera, it feels like a young Kevin Costner is narrating!
I feel the same way too
Oh yes! My thought as well. It's spot on. :)
100%
Literally came here to say this same thing!
Agreed
Only a true yard person can appreciate all of your work . Every time we have friends and family over and someone comments to me on how beautiful our home is it makes all the work we do worthwhile. Owning a home with property is a 24-7 job . It’s 100% of what you make it to be .
I love you including your daughters and teaching them, being patient with them and allowing them to learn!
Remember people saying this was crazy when you first started. Look at it now. Well done sir!
Lol "She wants me to change it, so I'll change it." ALL men know that lil smile you gave and feeling 😅
for real. this dude will never run out of content at that pace
The second I saw those Milwaukee drills I knew you were a family with good taste haha
Suggestion…. Start planting some native plants around property for pollinator habitat!!! Give back to the birds and the bees! They will thank you
They’ll just die from all the pesticides being sprayed literally feet away.
These are the good times that when you are old you will have the memories to keep you going.
Thanks!
Hey thank you Jon!
I’ll say it again, Neil. You are one handy dude. You’ve got a great team too with your wife and girls. Thanks for the fun video!
Your wife face was priceless when you showed her the tires.
Clearly you’re not a dairy farmer. I’m glad you have the time fix up your property and post entertaining/informative videos. I enjoy them. 😁
I was wondering if there was one other person in the world thinking this exact thought. For us the viewers it's a win win.
"She wants me to change it so I'll change it" 😂 felt that
I’m from Warsaw IN, love watching your videos!
You guys have a beautiful little homestead there! You did a great job!💙
Looks like an amazing space!
Looks great! Good work guys!
Thanks so much Brian!
Yum.
A good engineer never throws anything away 😂

Wow! Thanks a lot!

OCD or not, everyone should have a homestead that looks as good as yours. Happy swimming!
You are a blessed man. With OCD. 🤩
Been watching this pond come together for a while now and def enjoyed watching you get its full potential
Don’t be ashamed of having OCD. Half of your viewers probably also have it (me included) and find great joy in watching you create an environment that is soothing to us! Lol😂
Myself as well!
Yup, I’m one of those guys as well!
OCD is actually a really debilitating mental illness, it's not just wanting things to be neat and tidy
@@andydonaldson6084right, people think it's trendy to say they have it. Like depression these days
I'm a Virgo and I understand. I have to have everything plan lay out to a crisp and in order😂
Man I'd be tempted to go swimming in it. As hot as it's been lately. An ice cold beer and a floating things to kick back on, oh man, I call that a good time after a day's work.
you could cut a hole in the concrete walkway to allow the umbrellas to sit in. Or you could go all out and do a sun sail.
Make a flower ring you can put onto it and take it off when you want to change the flowers.
This is a great family man. Takes care of family and guests and treats every task with care. This is what America is. Keep on keepin on.
As for covering up those need to hides, take a note from Monte Python a nice shrubbery alongside your path.
Absolutely a great job. I really enjoyed this project.
This video made me really emotional. Working with the family, getting the girls learning new skills, making core memories and showing the world how farmers adapt and overcome issues. Thank you for being great!
I really appreciate the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Reason I started following your channel THE POND. Excellent culmination.
Note: paint tires & have the girls paint flowers, fish etc on them.
Awesome! Thank you!
Yup, Adam down in PA came up to Neil to do a pond video and that was how I found DDD. The best videos have Neil's wife looking askance at something he is up to...
Its always a GREAT video when Bruno is involved!!
We're implement namers also....started years ago when the first John Deere got semi- retired from taking hay. Now "Poppin' John" still serves the farm occasionally. 💚💚
Try EverEdge around the grass / tree area and the grass / grave area, keeps the edge nice and sharp and reduce the maintenance, not cheap but we’ll appreciate each time you look at it
Super nice place. I’m sure it keeps you busy. Thanks for sharing 👍
Love the videos and glad I found the channel. Nice to see family friendly entertainment and some ideas thrown in for projects to try! Hey I kinda like the tire bases but you now us guys, motorheads!
Happy Fourth! Everything is looking great!
Thank gawd you straightened out the edge beside the barrel 😁😁😁 i was dying 😩😩😩
There’s a great hymn called “Come Thou Fount of Many Blessings”. One of the great lines from that hymn is, “here I raise my Ebenezer”. An “Ebenezer” is a rock formation erected to commemorate God’s faithfulness. You could look at your rock formations as your Ebenezer to God’s faithfulness to you and your family…just a thought.
Also, Joshua built stones of remembrance.
DDD and Diesel Creek are my 2 favorite Sunday shows…. Keep up the good work!
It's good to be rich. Having all the equipment you need to help makes it easier.
Great video! I loved it
Neil, you might have the best yard and driveway on TH-cam! You got my vote.... You must have a lot of time on your hands!
RV Tire Covers have a similar color to your Umbrella's and furniture. Pop a hole in the center cover the tire and good to go.
Congrats to 1 year of the pond, and your place looks awesome.
I love so much about this channel... thanks for all your hard work and sharing your pretty-darned-good life with us Neil.
My pleasure!
Hello,
I am full of admiration that you managed to build the pond, while you have your regular job and a family to take care of. God bless you,
Thank you very much!
absolute beutiful place you guys got there.
Looked like a blast! Hope to one day do something like that…
So nice to see it come together Neil
Awesome job on your beautiful pond clear blue water 💦 and landscape 👍💕
Thanks for including us for things like this. This is the reward as a direct result of you and your family’s hard work! Glad you get to have events like this now and get to enjoy it, it looks like a wonderful time and it warms the soul!
Every family should be this amazing!!
We all can do it!!!!! 💪😁
Love ur family and work hard...
You need double vented umbrellas! The wind travels through them!
Love OC folks!! You two are definitely soul mates. Your home and landscape is immaculately staged. Love it.
You guys have a beautiful place❤. Build a wooden octagon cover over the tires.👍👍
You're an inspiration! Such a beautiful yard, such a beautiful family. Pure joy.
'The Pools~Pull~Play~Putback House/Room' ... Yay! Maybe? Way Nice Job There! Enjoy for decades to come !
Highlight of the week dropped and as usual I switch out from my day for day and just immerse myself, love it Neil
I like the tire umbrella base look.
I glad you are also working right up to party time. I thought we were the only ones. Great video.
So beautiful !!!
The cairn is a great addition to that space! You rock!
"Back when I had dreams." Ha! Love watching the progress. The Pool House is pretty cool. Good job!
The beginning of the pond videos is where I came across your content.
Means just over a year I've been following along.
An inch of dirt and some succulents like hens and chicks would be so beautiful on those tire stands.
The worse thing about your videos is when they end, amazing work, look forward to the next one
Should build a big ol' deck or custom gazebo overlooking that lake!
Idea for your tires that's the barrel over there cover them with wood make a little table out of them too
You're living the dream my man.
another good video. For the umbrella stands you should get a couple of wooden barrels and do the same thing that you did to conceal the well head. you will also end up with another 2 tables
Huge success! I’m in the middle of a cold winter….i’m living summer vicariously through Neil. Let the good times roll 🌻🍦
The tires are amazing!!!!!❤❤❤
Love to see how projects like this turn out. Great vids and content :)
Thank you!
You should get a few bar stool chairs to go around the barrel nice outside seating area and table
It looks fantastic! Love the pride that you take in your place! To make it complete you just need a flag pole! 🇺🇸 Thanks for sharing!
👍 🇺🇸

Where were you last year!?! lol
Thanks for watching!
Love that you’re teaching the girls to DIY
Good Sunday morning & may God bless you all today
Morning Terrance!
Must say you did a really nice job. I can only imagine the wonderful memories your kids will have.
It has been so much fun to see this project from start to finish. Thank you!
If the tire bases for umbrellas don't work, you can find any type of bucket and add concrete and place the metal tubing in to dry and voila, the wind is no problem
GREST JOB!
Great property, great innovation, super blessed family, hard work and family, you have built a wonderful heritage, God bless your family
Neil keep your umbrella holders and just skirt them in recycled grey plastic ... I use recycled plastic boarss for all types of stuff including making furniture...
Not OCD, it's called thorough and experienced. It's very fun to watch. Great work everyone, it looks amazing !!
A year of awesome videos 🎉
You might pound your umbrella pipes into the ground at the outside edge and inside edges of your entertainment area’s so you don’t need tires or stands and drill them so for fast pins
19:37 A trailer spare tire cover, cut a slit/hole, slip over those pipes and those umbrella stands would look great!
