Amoretti coffee syrup is pretty much #1 in my opinion, but none of them have enough flavor. That's why I'm eager to make my own, and none seem to be made from the actual flavor. Even Amoretti has ,"natural flavor" that doesn't mean there is any of the flavor name in the bottle. I'd like to make mine with actual flavors.

You can make extracts if you need inexpensive organic ones. I use extracts that I like the smell of. You can shop around or just steep the herbs, vanilla beans, etc in the hot water for a while before adding sugar! I order the organic evaporated cane juice from Costco.

Hi there! Me and a team are opening up a new coffee shop in State College, Pa called Vibe Coffee Co.
We are exploring our options for syrup selection.
I am personally advocating for serving "house made" syrups. This video helped- thanks!
    I have a few questions:
    1. How long does 2 quarts of liquid sweetener last in a typical coffee shop?
    2. Will it stay fresh for as long as we have it in stock or will we need to keep remaking new batches?
    3. If we halved the recipe : 0.5 qt of sugar + 0.5 qt of hot water, will it yield a 1qt syrup blend?
    4. Any tips for best storage?
    Thanks again Coffee Snob.

@@annrodden346 I think they just mean that most people know how to do something before deciding to make a business out of it. Opening a coffee shop without knowing how to make one of the most basic yet essential things is like opening an art shop but knowing nothing about art, or a restaurant without knowing how to cook or manage one. Don't take it personally, though. I truly mean no hate and doubt the other person did either. I'm just saying I understand their point. I wish you the best in your new venture.
