Harry’s House, Midnights, Faith In The Future and 5SOS5 were definetly my favourites of 2022, so much good music that came out this past year.

also i feel like you might like the 1975, imo they make more collections of songs than albums if that makes sense so i don’t think they have one album which really stands out but each album has some really great songs and their production and lyrics are really interesting. i never thought i’d like them but i got really into them recently lol
bfiafl is absolutely amazing and i agree, she would totally enjoy at least a few songs off the new album

I work in live entertainment and it’s so interesting to see the different ways that different generations are misbehaving at concerts, the youngins tend to be rowdy during the show, but the boomers and the gen Xers just have the most wild disregard for the people who have to clean up afterwards, there’s mountains of beer cans up to your knees in the pits at some of these dad rock shows LOL
An album this year that definitely deserves its flowers is Five Seconds Flat by Lizzy McAlpine !!!

I think the reason for why people like sped up songs is because nowadays, we have such short attention spans and so we like sped up songs because they get to the "good parts" of the song faster than if the song was played at normal speed.
Sped up songs are literally just Nightcore without the anime pictures, and I feel like it has more to do the theory of how our ears crave similar but "new" sounds than our attention spans. Not to say it couldn't be what your saying, but I do think that's a very unlikely explanation.
When u were talking about “emails I can’t send” & saying how it was ur first introduction into Sabrina’s music, I could lowkey relate!! It was my first Sabrina album too & I immediately fell in love with it as well. The first song I heard from her is a song of hers called “purpose” that she released back in 2016, so that song alone was kinda how I knew Sabrina (I first got to know her through Disney tho) & became a fan of her but her new album confirmed my love for her as an artist!! It’s such a good pop album as u described in the video. I’m literally obsessed with it to the point where I sing the whole album all the time😂😂. It’s just that good. I also bought tickets to her tour in 2023!! I was so surprised that we share similar stories on how we got into Sabrina’s music😊

just like how you said sabrina's album was pop for pop lovers, faith in the future is pop for rock lovers. i literally only listen to rock music but faith in the future's alternative-but-still-pop style will forever be one of my only exceptions. i feel like if you listen to alternative music exclusively and were dared to listen to a recent pop album and enjoy it, faith in the future would be a top pick for sure.

Omg you probably won't see this but if you do, I highly recommend listening to girl of my dreams by Fletcher (there's also a deluxe version but honestly, I highly recommend listening to both). I really feel like you'd love it. It kinda has a similar vibe to emails I can't send but with a little more of a rock sound to it. It's very gay and almost half the songs are about wlw and break ups but it's also mostly about self discovery and self love and growing as a person. I really recommend this to literally anyone who sees this!! It's one of my favorite albums 😭💖

it's crazy how Holy Fvck by Demi Lovato is absent from so many year-end videos. Ig I'm the only who spent the year obsessed with it lol. But to be fair, a lot of great albums came out this year like renaissance, midnights, emails I can't send and the others you mentioned. Manifesting a kesha comeback in 2023!

about the unreleased songs I always think like there is a reason that it wasn't released so maybe the artist doesn't want it to be spread around so much, epsecially when they don't benefit off of it
Also, unreleased songs are UNRELEASED for a reason. If it's too personal for an artist to release, then people shouldn't LEAK it. Like ReMember by Ariana Grande leaked this year - if you don't know that song was too personal for her to release on her 2019 album Thank u, Next. This year it leaked. Artists should release songs like that when THEY ARE READY, not because they are forced to or they are leaked

my top albums were def charli xcx's crash,, it was my top album on my wrapped and i just love every song on there. this one barely came out but indigo by rm holds a special place in my heart and i bought it for myself for xmas
unrealeased songs feel like an invation of privacy. 'Him' by Harry Styles is the main one I think of. It feels like he didn't release it for a reason. it is such an emotional song and when it gets played a lot (I've heard it in a lot of edits) it just feels like his feelings are being tossed around like they don't mean anything.

Jealous America is getting all these tours & then there's Australia just waiting around. Only artists I saw in 2022 was The Wiggle 18+ gig & Dua Lipa. Would of seen Billie but she had tickets up the back/side of stage for $170 which is just outrageous.
I like Harry's singles so might go see him but his tickets are so expensive atm so might try the week of shows to see what ticket prices are like.
As a swiftie speak now Taylor’s version is my one priority for this year everything else is welcome but let’s keep it to priority
For me the albums go Harry's House, Fine Line, then HS1 for the SONGS. But in terms of tours/eras, I think it's HS1, Fine Line, then Harry's House.

jvke kept on posting the same part of golden hour on nearly every tiktok this year and charlie kept on releasing so many snippets of his songs that when the album released there was actually only one unheard song and the album became boring to me at first listen 💀

Also I think camping became so extreme with all the basic influencers "discovering the 'underground artist: Harry Styles'" because I have never seen more influencers bandwagon an artist more this year than they did with Harry Styles.
I think TikTok is a great thing marketing wise but I think it is annoying that some songs are teased so much that when the song comes out it is underwhelming. BUT i think it is great for small artists blowing up.

I have one video idea I want to know about old Rock bands and Rockstara real difference between rock star and popstar. Why we no more Hve any rockstars. How come old rockbands are still so popular and tour even if they are old. I mean they dont have any media presence or fandom but they always sell tickets ans vinyls. 1 skip for Harry's House?? Naw, idk what your one skip is but I skip quite a few. What you said about Midnights is how I feel about Harry's House. I thought it was a decent album with good stand alone songs, but I'm not in love with it as a whole. His first album is still my personal fave.

"louis'punky sound"
I'm really sick of people calling him "punk" and seeing "punk Lou" and things like that everywhere. Louis is definetly NOT punk. As a fan of punk music, I can tell that the genre of FITF is not punk. Yes, there are some faster, more energyc tracks like "OMM" but I think the album genre is more indie, indierock or Indiepop. I'm sorry if I was rude or anything, but i'm absolutely sick of seeing "punk" for Louis everywhere.
