That was Spectacular ❣️. I’m self taught twelve years ago and ten years rusty. Your teaching gives me BREATH. I’m going to begin again💗 First project, a pair of size 15 Men socks for my husband. Just need one thing, “THIS” Pattern for REALLY Large feet!!! THANK YOU for giving me the courage of picking up my needles again❤️🥰❤️
This is a really great KAL Brittany! I’ve just recently gotten back in to sock knitting and I’m learning a lot. I’ve seen an afterthought heel done by cutting the yarn. This way seems so much easier. I can’t wait to see how you do it! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the KAL! I finished my first sock over the weekend. It was fairly easy to do (even with only a 16 in needle). I messed up once and had to re do the whole thing. So sad, but I used that opportunity to switch to the correct needle size 🤑
Good video. I have never done a sock before and I find this a great learning tool. I have made some silly mistakes I am happy with what I have learnt as long as I don't repeat it.. Thank you.
Hey... I'm confused and am not sure if I've messed up. So I'm about to start knitting the ribbing on the leg - K3, P1. I have 22 loops on each needle. But K3P1 doesn't divide into 22 - it leaves me with 2 leftover at the end. Where have I gone wrong? Oh no! Thanks so much.
I'm having the same issue. I ended up just K2P1. At the end of the first needle, you leave off with K1, so I just did the other K1 at the beginning of the second needle. You end up ending on a P1, but joining that with the K2 from the beginning of needle 1 gives you an even round of K2 P1 all the way around. Needle 1: K2P1 all the way, ending on a K1 Needle 2: K1P1, then K2P1 the rest Hope this made sense! Edit: nvm I'm working on my second sock and realized that somehow I added an extra stitch on my first sock so I had 22 on one needle and 23 on another, so I guess I'll just add one on this one for the ribbing and roll with it XD
Hello Brittany, at 5:58, when you say knit Rounds 1-4, does that mean knitting each side twice, or knitting in the round 4 times (4 times on each needle) ?
I really thought that it will be very easy while i look your video but when i do i really found difficult while knitting but it's really happy and good that your knitting was really nice, good and really amazing thanks for your video
Thanks for the guide Brittany! It's my first time knitting anything and I really appreciate the written guide. I was just wondering about how long to make the leg of the sock. My foot length was 11inches so I made the sock length 8 inches as per your table, but for the leg length it just says "Rep last round until leg measures 5( 5.5, 6)” from first row of heel." Would it be correct to interpret that as just 5 inches from the heel for any size foot?
You are a amazing brittany, with this tutorial im knitting my first socks and im going really well, in early times i thought i will never knit a socks so i just crochet it (i learned it from your tutorial) now i can knit socks and big thank you to you because you and your tutorials help me knit or crochet anything! thanks for theaching us how to knit & crochet!❤❤
Thank you for this awesome tutorial! I’m new to knitting but you’ve explained everything really well 😄 If I wanted to make these socks with a longer leg, would I just keep adding more of row 5 until it’s the length I want or would there need to be increases?
Thank You so much for this series of videos. I am a new knitter and have dreaded knitting socks with DPN'S. Quick question on the cast off..in the video are you casting off with your right hand? I am a visual learner so it's tripping me up a bit. Is the cast off similar to the lace cast off? Thank You so much for this tutorial, I am no longer terrified to knit socks!
I know we knit the sock based on the pattern sizing provided. I’m knitting size S socks, and the sizing says 8-9”. My feet are tiny so I’m shouting for 8. Do I knit the placeholder stitches right when the entire sock measures 8 inches, or should I knit them at 7 inches since the heel takes up some length as well?
I'd take 3" off and make it a 5" length before you knit the place holders. My foot measures 9" long and I knit to 6". That'll give it enough negative ease so it stretches a bit to fit and doesn't end up too floppy in the toes 👍
How do you do the ribbing pattern with 26 stitches on each side? (Or any other stitch count that aren’t divisible by 4?) Feels weird to flip needles in the middle of the K3P1
B.Hooked Crochet & Knitting because of the heel. I got out a pair i started in 2017 , I’m doing to try and do them with a fish lips kiss heel. I’ve been told thats the best an easiest one to do. But no one has a tutorial on how to do that so I’m just on my own. Thank you

It depends on how high and your leg shape. You can easily add width to the purls of the rib portion.
How long did it take you to finish
can u please give me the detailed instructions on how to knit a simple sweater

You can always pass two stitches over so it doesn't break up the pattern if that's easier for you 👍
@@bhookedcrochet smart!!! Thank you!
Will you do a pair with the fish lips kiss heel? I hear its the easiest . I guess I’ll never be able to knit socks.
I'll definitely look into that for next year! Why do you say you'll never be able to knit socks?

Would it be weird to make these short? Would perhaps defeat the purpose of them being for winter.... you're right I'll make them long.
I made some short but they kind of fall so I would make them long
