I too have blood cancer and have been using this video the three years I’ve had it. It’s tragic how few restorative yoga leaders there are. Bless you for this gift candace
I am recovering from a debilitating chronic illness and have searched through tons of yoga and meditation videos. This is a very soothing, comforting video. I have found it very helpful!
It was first ever yoga yt video for me after it clicked. And The whole new story begun. Remember i was feeling down and my body was in pain at that time of life but when i did happy baby pose i was laughing. Thank you Candice for being here in this universe.
I'm glad to see so many other people have also enjoyed this video. I have chronic lyme disease and am living in a stressful situation. This daily practice helps to calm my nerves and bring my mind to rest. Thank you.
Michelle, you may want to check out my book Namaslay. I suffered from Lyme disease for 2+ years, and 4+ years recovering. It's a horrible disease, but I believe recovery and cure is totally possible (at least, it was for me). Sending you good vibes as you continue to heal. xo
Wow, that was fantastic! I was flat in bed from pain and fatigue and rested until late this afternoon. Decided to try restorative yoga to assist me to find healing. I feel so much better, completely at peace calm. Thank you Candace
I've been so physically limited due to my health issues arising for these last 6 months and this video was the perfect way for someone to hop back into yoga and meditate. Your voice is so calm and soothing, thank you for the video!
I've been trying to heal my diastasis recti (seperation of the abdominal muscles after a pregnancy) and this was a great way to release my obliques (which helps to allow that separation to heal). Thanks so much for all your attention to posture and keeping the back to the mat, neck long, etc. I appreciate the spirit of this calming & centering practice!
Candance I want to thank you for all that you do. I have been practicing with you for a while. This morning I was feeling anxiety and anxiousness before I started working out. I wanted to first congratulate you on your new book. Restoring your body is very important. You have helped me get through some tough moments. I may not be where I want to be however, practicing these methods will help me to recover from this back pain. In some places I found it very tender however I am still working through it . Candance I can't thank you enough for all your help. Now each day because of you my body is turning back into place. Thanks again☺☺☺☺❤❤❤❤
I haven't done yoga in over a year, and was desperate for some restorative. I REALLY didn't think that youtube would be good enough, but this was great. Thank you!
I have severe arthritis and fibromyalgia. I am in the midst of a major life change however once that settles I plan to get some good stretching movement into life. My niece who has her own challenges recommended Yoga. I watched his video thinking it might work for me. I made this video a Face Book favorite d wrote this: "Wow- just listening to her as I reviewed this for potential use I went into such a state of relaxation I was totally ready for bed at the end. She has a wonderful voice ad rhythm. Seeing her body so relaxed as she spoke ad slowly went through the positions relaxed my own body. I am going to begin a home Yoga/stretching/moving meditation once I get beyond this current flare up and this may be the one. For those of you in chronic pain, you might want to watch this for relaxa...tion even if you cannot do the motions. Enjoy!" Thank you so much Candace. I feel so relaxed I gam going to bed for a good nights sleep.
Anastasia Rose Wow thank you so much for sharing. I hope this is helpful to you as you continue to deal with all you're going through. Sending strength your way.
did this in the morning. I have fibro as well as a knee and hip injury I had a couple years back. This video was so great and relaxing and well explained so I knew exactly what to pay attention to. It provided great relief and did great stretching for my lower back &legs & was very relaxing to start my day with!
This was lovely! I spent all day yesterday in a hospital waiting room and I didn't realize how stiff my lower back was from sitting all day. Thank you! Great narration and instruction. I love how you are clear about what my body should be doing.
Omg....my 1st time trying yoga and it was great!! I was diagnosed with R.A. and my MD recommended me to try yoga.....I love it and I feel great!!! Thank you!!
Thanks so much for the feedback! Yeah I have a lot of people comment on the lack of music (usually complaining about it, haha) but I figure people can put on their own music at home, and I won't get hit with copyright infringement, win-win for everyone!
Thank you. Just what I needed after two days of work in my restaurant. Meditated for 15 mins before then completed your wonderful practice. Feel revived after the weekend. Namaste
this is an amazing practice because even tho it's pretty easy it creates a lasting effect which doesn't happen with many routines that don't push hard. Candace guides you in detail and it might be those small things that really make the difference. Whatever it is, it's great - I love love love it.
I am locked in a battle with ataxia and I have finally found a yoga routine that I can manage without falling. Thank you. I would love to hear more about restorative yoga!
I really needed that body/mind connection tonight. I have neglected my need for meditation and serenity in my thoughts for a very long time. Your video was soothing and relaxing. Thank you
Thank you so much for this session. I have Graves' disease and I am weak and need to keep my elevated heart rate regulated - still I have to move even a bit... never done yoga before and was looking for something soft and healing to deeply stretch and move my body parts without props- to practice on a daily basis and your practice is perfect for my condition ! I am glad I found it and hope to see even more restorative sessions on your channel :)
Thank you so much for sharing this video. I have been recovering from a debilitating illness and this yoga sequence really is helping me and my body heal. Thank you so much!!
Really lovely and relaxing. I suffer with fibromyalgia and i have practices yoga for 7 years and this i was able to do without over doing it. Thank you.
Oh My Gosh, I did not realize how tight my back was until I did this routine. The build in stress in my neck, back, and hips had me locked up unknowingly like a Frankenstein. The difference between how I felt before and after was night and day. It truly restored my energy. Thank you so much. And I would recommend to anyone to try it.
I'm so glad it was helpful - isn't it amazing what a gentle stretch can do?! Love it. Thanks for the kind words. Feel free to submit your yoga questions or requests on facebook.com/yogabycandace or my website - www.yogabycandace.com.
+Yoga by Candace I am, there's going to be a lot of restorative and yin yoga for the next couple of months! been looking through your videos to see what to try next. 🙏
Commenting one more time...did this after a wild week (my GI disorder went into remission/then got dumped). This practice works wonders for me. and now that i am better, i am trying to thank the many "internet people" who helped me stay relatively sane, healthy & hopeful. So thank you...your videos have had a big place in my recovery :) if i had emojis, i would insert something more enthusiastic!
This is one of my favorite Yoga videos for stretching, meditating and for starting a new bright day. Thank you Candace for taking the time to make this and for sharing it with us.
Your voice is wonderfully soothing. I'm going to start doing your videos as a way to get back into my yoga practice, which has been more or less nonexistent since I had my first child nearly 8 years ago. I really appreciated the language and pace you used. Very affirming and accepting. Thank you for sharing what you have found for yourself. :-)
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a message. I really appreciate it and am so glad that you found the video helpful. Please let me know if you ever have any video requests, and feel free to check out my blog for more yoga tips at www.yogabycandace.com. Happy to help. :)
I love love love this one Candace. I go back to it often when I need something calming but opening. Thank you for your gentle practise and sensitive guidance. Namaste ❤️
I've been away from workouts for a month or so now, and I started back today with some cardio and your yoga session...very restorative for my muscles that were stuck on a place for 20+ hours! It also helps that you are such a beautiful woman!
That was just what I needed! I am recovering from surgery and was just given the all-clear for activity as tolerated. My core and hips/thighs are very tight and this helped me to relax and stretch gently and effectively. Thank you.
Just found your channel tonight. I was diagnosed with MS about a year ago and had heard that yoga could help with the symptoms. I found a yoga routine on my cable station and have noticed that the numbness I experience does lessen when I have done yoga. I like that you have choices in 15-30 minutes blocks. I enjoyed your instruction and will return to try other lessons. THANKS
So glad you found my channel, Brandi! Let me know if you ever have a request or yoga question, and feel free to check out more at facebook.com/yogabycandace and www.yogabycandace.com. I'm happy to help!
I'm at day 3 of the 39 days yoga progress project for flexibility and I loved this one, I can't thank you enough for sharing videos and sharing what you know!! This video really helped me to feel more relaxed and calm, also helped me whit my meditation!! Thank you sooooooo much!!! Have an awesome day xoxo
Ana Paula M Thanks so much for all the feedback, Ana! I'm so glad you're enjoying the project! We just started a March project too (31 day program for balance) so feel free to join in on this one later on down the line! All info on the blog (yogabycandace.com) :)
Tried this with pain in my lower back and neck, felt like blood rushing afterwards, felt great :) Been stiff since the day after, but will continue to see. You have a nice soft voice
My meditation class was cancelled today so I was frustrated and grumpy. Thanks for this video, it totally relaxed me and got me thinking positively to face the day!
Wow! I have had back problems for a while using a computer all day and this has really helped. Hopefully I can keep using it and improving in the future! Thank you so much!
Thanks a million Candace, I injured my hamstring recently and was looking for a nice gentle restorative class. That was perfect, I feel wonderfully relaxed and gently stretched now!
Misfitoxbaioxbai I'm so glad this was helpful to you! Please feel free to pop on over to yogabycandace.com and forum.yogabycandace.com for more yoga tips and sequences
My osteopath recommended restorative yoga to me and this session came up in my search. I loved it. You explain everything so perfectly and at the right moment. Thank you for sharing this. Soph
As being an empath, I looked up that doing restoration yoga is a good way to recoup and recharge. I'm still tense, but I feel a lot better than I did. Thank you!
Dawn Fontaine I'm so glad to hear you feel a bit better! You'll likely continue to feel even better with a consistent practice. Feel free to join in on the de-stress program: yogabycandace.com/blog/31-day-yoga-program-to-de-stress
I've only just found this, but what an amazing practice. I felt so relaxed and centred by the end. I usually don't like restorative practices as they're too easy, but this was simply lovely.
Candace that was so relaxing! I'm barely two weeks new to yoga so definitely beginner level, but wanting to incorporate yoga for my training for my marathon in December. My current work schedule doesn't allow for me to make many classes at my gym so these videos are really beneficial to me. Your voice is really calming.
Joseph Zambrano Thanks so much for the feedback. Yoga is a great supplement for running. I have a post-run yoga flow you might like: yogabycandace.com/blog/2013/6/7/gentle-post-run-yoga-sequence Best of luck in your marathon!
Thank you for making this video. I suffer from chronic pain, limited mobility, and muscle deterioration due to fibromyalgea. I used to enjoy yoga in the past but now that Im trying to get back into it, its very difficult for me to find any videos that I am able to do. I like this one so much I did it a second time after I showered. Thanks!!
I hope I'm not overstepping any boundaries (disregard if I am) but I'm reading this amazing book that talks about the gut/fibro connection - you may want to check it out if you're into holistic med - it's called Eat Dirt amzn.to/2jhAR57 (and another I read that also talks about the same topic is the GAPS book amzn.to/2jhrW3S)
Panda Bear fibromyalgia can be cured with brain retraining. Look up the Gupta programme & dynamic neural retraining system which is what I’m using and I’m healing fast
Yeahhh! Good for you for taking care of yourself while your little one snoozes! SAHMs work so hard, so I'm thrilled to hear you're having some "me time"!
This is my all-time favorite and go-to when I need something soft, quiet, and effective. I'm a dancer and it really helps in getting a gentle, all-over stretch--especially in the hips and lower back. Love it, thank you.
ive subscribed to alot of vloggers and video game youtubers. recently i came across your channel, gave some of your videos a shot to start my day, and i gotta say, i look forward to more yoga with you.
Thank you Candace, just what I needed to feel restored from a stressful Monday! I am always tempted to go towards stronger practice but doing this makes me appreciate that these gentler practice's are equally as giving. Inspired :)
Hi Candace, I just want to check in and say that I'm loving this slow and gentle practice! It's just what my plus size, tight, middle aged body needs!! ; ) I feel great after this session! I'm looking forward to exploring your channel and growing in my yoga practice with you. Thanks so much. :-)
Milagros Milliner Hey Milagros! Great to hear you are la-la-loving this practice!! You might also like this one as well: yogabycandace.com/blog/chill-out-restorative-yoga And feel free to check out www.yogabycandace.com and forum.yogabycandace.com for more in-depth yoga stuff :)
This is a beautiful video with great instruction. I am so glad that so many people have founs thia helpful. While it is more gentle yoga than restorative, it felt good. It is mildly energizing. Thank you!
Such a great video. A version with gentle soundscape music in the background would be lovely too. This video is so great for being gentle to the body for self healing. Thank you for sharing and your generous spirit.
Edwin Vega Thanks so much for the kind words, Edwin! I'm glad you enjoyed this. The thing about music is that if I put up music that I didn't create myself, my account would be flagged as violating copyright laws. For this reason, I keep my videos silent and figure people can put on the music they love at their home if they want to. :)
This is by far the best restorative yoga video and instruction out there. Please please please make more of these for us all! You’re incredibly talented at this 😄
That was amazing Candace!! Keep on sista!! Love and light and blessings to you always!! Everyone needs this. Such beautiful practice, and knowledge, and voice. Truly restorative and precious. God Bless you!!
This was PERFECT. I got hit with a real bad stomach virus which kept me off the workout scene and in bed for 3 days. I needed something gentle to loosen me up since I was finally feeling better. This was fantastic. Thank you. ;) You caught a new subscriber!
I loved this thank you :) As a fellow Yogi and Yoga Teacher, this is a great little sequence to incorporate into my sessions and share with my clients, as well as a wonderful 30 min break for myself during busy days
Candace, have def implemented this as a part of my post-runs exercise. I like that you spend the last 5 mins just focusing on the breath, not sure if that section is called something. But definitely wouldn't mind if you have any videos where you spend maybe 10 minutes at the end just focusing on the breath and relaxing.
Joseph Zambrano Glad this has been helpful to you. You might want to try this video on how to breathe better (may also improve the quality of your runs): yogabycandace.com/blog/how-to-breathe-better and then for a more meditative video, you could try this morning meditation: yogabycandace.com/blog/2013/8/29/guided-morning-meditation It's only five minutes but once you learn how to do it you can continue for 5 mins more on your own. :)
+Alex L Thanks so much! Just watch what type of yoga you're doing. I get a lot of complaints on other videos that I am "too fast." I'm not, and it's likely the others aren't either - the style of yoga people comment on with these complaints is vinyasa, which literally means "flow" - it's meant to be quick paced. If you're looking for a slower style in which you really feel a stretch with each pose and get to breathe in each pose for a minute or so, search for something like this video, which is restorative yoga. You can also search for hatha or yin yoga - those styles are all very slow. You can read more about that here: yogabycandace.com/blog/2016/3/21/the-number-one-complaint
. Thank you for this great session I enjoyed it. I am a person with some illnesses very difficult ones and I do benefit from your work. God bless you and gives you the strength to continue in your work. Namaste!
Loved this flow! I have been completing quite of few of your videos here lately and have really been enjoying them. The videos are easy to follow and are just great! Thank you!
Candace, you have saved me today. I have been feeling so anxious and depressed. For the moment I feel calm and the anxiety has left me Thank you. xo
I'm honored to be a part of your practice!
I've been watching this video since 2019 and it still works wonders for me after a chaotic work week! Thank you!
Shoveled snow for three hours today and this restorative routine helped stretch all the right places. I think I need to do it twice ☺️
+Judy Taylor Shoveling is TOUGH work!! I hope this helped!

My husband and I do this workout every morning before work. It feels great every time, never gets old!
+Jeana Maynard Thanks, Jeana!

This practice was absolutely what I needed. Had a very stressful conversation before practicing. Can't thank you enough for how I feel.
I haven't done yoga in over a year, and was desperate for some restorative. I REALLY didn't think that youtube would be good enough, but this was great. Thank you!
This is perfect for my EDS. I have been trying to find a yoga that is light and doesn't injure my joints, and this is just right :)
I have severe arthritis and fibromyalgia. I am in the midst of a major life change however once that settles I plan to get some good stretching movement into life. My niece who has her own challenges recommended Yoga.
I watched his video thinking it might work for me.
I made this video a Face Book favorite d wrote this:

I especially enjoy your sessions because you don't play any music during them. Gets me much more relaxed.
Thanks so much for the feedback! Yeah I have a lot of people comment on the lack of music (usually complaining about it, haha) but I figure people can put on their own music at home, and I won't get hit with copyright infringement, win-win for everyone!
Same! The brain actually benefits greatly from silence. A study showed that even relaxing music is not as relaxing to the brain as silence.
Thank you. Just what I needed after two days of work in my restaurant. Meditated for 15 mins before then completed your wonderful practice. Feel revived after the weekend. Namaste
So glad to hear it, Rachel!
Why would anyone dislike a *free* yoga video? If you don't like it, you don't need to watch it *eye roll*. Love your videos, Candace!
Loved the gentle stretches and breathing, no rush just time for yourself. Thank you, Candace.
You're very welcome!
I am a ski instructor part-time. After a full day this is wonderful to stretch out and restore my muscles. Thank you for posting this.

My osteopath recommended restorative yoga to me and this session came up in my search. I loved it. You explain everything so perfectly and at the right moment. Thank you for sharing this.
Soph
Thanks, Sophie, for watching and for taking the time to leave such a kind comment. I'm so glad this was helpful for you.
I’ve completed this routine more than a dozen times! One of fav videos! 🙂
Woke up and found this great 30 min yoga vid for restoration and mecitation. Just what i needed. Positive in negative out!
What a beautiful, mindful practice. This helped to cut through a week of insomnia and grounded/relaxed me enough to sleep. Thank you so much!
Catherine Winter-Hébert I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed this, Catherine! Thanks for letting me know.
Yoga by Candace Trying it out tonight. Just finished my light 3 mile run earlier. :)
I love this mindful practice. Very grounding when my mind is too busy.
Heather Torrence Mattson I'm so glad to hear it, Heather!
Thanks for the relaxing spine work. It was just what this SAHM needed while my LO was napping.
Thanks so much for the kind words
Wow, i just finished a Half Marathon yesterday and this is exactly what my body needed. Namaste~
Great job on the half marathon!!!!
Excellent restorative yoga routine by Candace with instructions to do many of the little things that adds value to a yoga practice.
I'm glad I found this video. Normally I go out and exercise but it was too cold. Thanks for this relaxing video.
So glad you found this and enjoyed!!

Thank you Candace, just what I needed to feel restored from a stressful Monday! I am always tempted to go towards stronger practice but doing this makes me appreciate that these gentler practice's are equally as giving. Inspired :)
Charlotte Ross You're so welcome, Charlotte - glad to hear you enjoyed this.

Hi Candace,
I love this video and have been doing it over the past several years. You have a nice teaching style and a soothing voice. Thank you.
Ah thanks so much. This is suuuuch an old video but I love to hear it still resonates.
This is a beautiful video with great instruction. I am so glad that so many people have founs thia helpful. While it is more gentle yoga than restorative, it felt good. It is mildly energizing. Thank you!
I have had knee pain for nearly two months. I have been doing this video every day for two weeks and it is nearly gone, thanks so much!
+Sherri McCann Amazing! I'm so happy for you, Sherri!
Love this praksis..... have done it more than 1 year ....many times. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Beautiful. It really helped with my period pain too. Thank you, Candace!
+Nadjeschda Taranczewski So good to hear!
Ah yes! This I understand. A million thanks for your contributions
This is by far the best restorative yoga video and instruction out there. Please please please make more of these for us all! You’re incredibly talented at this 😄
You're so kind - Click here and on the right you'll see alllll my restorative and relaxing yoga vids: th-cam.com/video/mKVunWMHNm8/w-d-xo.html

That was amazing Candace!! Keep on sista!! Love and light and blessings to you always!! Everyone needs this. Such beautiful practice, and knowledge, and voice. Truly restorative and precious. God Bless you!!
Thanks so much for the feedback and well-wishes!
This was PERFECT. I got hit with a real bad stomach virus which kept me off the workout scene and in bed for 3 days. I needed something gentle to loosen me up since I was finally feeling better. This was fantastic. Thank you. ;) You caught a new subscriber!
+Jeanne Phoenix I'm so glad you found me! Thanks for subscribing and I wish you a super speedy recovery!
This is exactly what I was looking for! This will be a perfect start for my days--thank you for sharing!
Shelly K so glad you found it! hope you enjoy!
I loved this thank you :) As a fellow Yogi and Yoga Teacher, this is a great little sequence to incorporate into my sessions and share with my clients, as well as a wonderful 30 min break for myself during busy days
+K Davison (PixieK) Awesome, so glad to hear this!
Great to come home and do this, to take me away from the hectic holiday season. Thank you!
Thank you Candace! I was able to do the whole practice with my eyes closed, because of your clear instructions. :-)
So happy to hear that!
Will do! Continue posting videos too! :) Happy Friday!
Thank you! I can easily follow with my eyes closed. Excellent instruction.
Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm glad it was helpful.
Thank you. A lovely calming and gentle yoga practice, i loved it x
So glad to hear you enjoyed!
Thanks!! The best yoga sesh on TH-cam. Most go through positions too fast.
I love this! It's just what i needed for finals week.
+laine aro Good luck on your finals!
Thank you so much for your gentle being. It really helps ❤️
. Thank you for this great session I enjoyed it. I am a person with some illnesses very difficult ones and I do benefit from your work. God bless you and gives you the strength to continue in your work. Namaste!
