Great video. Simple, not a lot of extraneous information we don't need, showing the bomb release button being held as they come off the jet really demonstrates the function well. That's worth a like and sub. I will also turn on notifications. Keep 'em coming! There's so many aspects to this wonderful plane that ANY order of tutorial release is fine.
Solid video! As other people stated it’s great to see a tutorial that’s straight to the point but still explains the basics. You got a sub, keep up the good work!
Great video! Since you asked for suggestions, I would like a tutorial explaining the lay down mode, that seems to be the most accurate option for level bombing
Excellent video Dave - for a suggestion and a challenge - ILS Navigation - there’s a nice mission in the Marians instant action where you need to follow a DME ark - a possible good template to use to walk through TACAN and VOR/ILS
just fyi, the weight name of a bomb is the total weight, not the warhead mass. the warhead is roughly half of a bombs total weight, so a 500lb bomb has a roughly 250lb warhead and a 2000lb bomb has a roughly 1000lb warhead
You are confusing the weight of the warhead with the weight of the explosive in the warhead. Those are two different things, so it is correct to say that the Mk-82 warhead is 500 pounds.
Excelent work! One of the best tutorials of F-4E. Simple and direct! I'm struggling with Air to Air. If you could give us a help, including something about keybidings, I will thank you!
Hi ! Thank you for this video. Quick question though: wouldn't setting the fuze to "Tail" only trigger the ballute/fins, and let the bomb arrive to the ground inert?
I can't really explain the logic behind it but setting the fuze to tail with high drag bombs still allows the bomb to detonate upon impact, at least from my testing :)
Very interesting! The level of freedom those Murican planes can carry is kind of insane. I mean the configuration you show at the begining has, I don't know, how many B-17 (i'm quite sure at least two, wouldnt be surprised if more) bomb loads under its wings, and at the same times it has what looks like at least half a dozen of fox 1 and 2 (I think, I'm more of a ww2 aviation connaisseur, corrrect me if I'm wrong but I think the big ones are fox ones, sparrows? and the smaller ones fox 2, sidewinders? ), plus its canon... it's insane... Any way I'm on the verge of buying the module while the discount on steam is on, but I'm only familiar with ww2 planes, it's all I've been flying for years, just got the mirrage 2000 on sold like 2 years ago (I'm french so it pulled my heart strings) but never went on learning it (I mainlt use it to showcase the VR headset to friends and family who visit, cause it's fast, but only assigned the bassics controls to it). I'm tempted by those jets but it's quite intimidating all those things I'm not used to :radar, electronics, weapon sytem etc. Maybe this will be the one, it's already so popular I know there will be tons of good tutorials out there. Like yours! Well done and thank you, even if I'm not sure I will ever use it. Nice video! Greetings from France! :)
I have been flying WW2 props and Jets and Helo in DCS for a while now. The F-4 isn't for beginners though. I think the most forgiving jet with a nice selection of weapons is the F-18. Mais bien sur on sait que le Mirage est meilleur, but the Hornet is easy to fly but will keep you learning for a long time.
I know, however I am a bit old fashioned when it comes to iron bombing with all my hours in the Mirage F1. Still a great in-game calculator and excellent radar simulation, Nelson. Thank you
I flew the aircraft at some set parameters (500 knots, 500ft agl) and pressed active pause. Then I released some bombs and watched where they landed and set my reticle depression so that the reticle is over where the bomb landed.

That's shame you classify extra info as those that "we don't need".
Brooo it's not arcade game :)
@@FD1CE I think he meant youtubers who go on and on about and speak random stuff without getting to the point, aaaassss always
Solid video! As other people stated it’s great to see a tutorial that’s straight to the point but still explains the basics. You got a sub, keep up the good work!
Dave that was the best explanation of the different bomb release methods I’ve seen! Well done sir!
Damn it man you’re good at explaining things. Great layout awesome video.
Great video! Since you asked for suggestions, I would like a tutorial explaining the lay down mode, that seems to be the most accurate option for level bombing
You nailed this Dave!!! you're a natural born teacher.
Awesome video and so well explained, Looking forward to testing this out, Thanks
Good explanation of the bombing release modes. Nice Video. Keep on Iron Bombing

Thank you. I'm working on a few navigation videos for the F-4, just trying to learn it all first and make sure I've got it all correct.
Thanks for a good straight to the point video
Excelente presentation. Great work!
Consice and patient voiceover, nice video!
Great video and I like you style clean and informative, Thank you.
That's worth a sub. Thanks for the great vid.
Thanks. Thats what I waited for! ❤
What a beautiful thumbnail!
I would love to see a video on offset bombing in both visual, and non visual approaches, and how that works. The manual lacks context.

Thank you, I'll be sure to correct this in future videos.
I love the SAMP series of French bombs. They have like 65% to 75% weight filler compared to Mk80 series.

That video is next on the to do list :)
I haven't checked if Napalm is available, but that would be one to do also.
Great Video! One of the best and easiest to follow. What about a Rocket Video?
Perhaps I'll cover it in a future video. Air to air is next on the to do list for now though
great video - can you give suggestion how you would attack an ir sam or an SA3 site - with which bomb or which method - > height , speed , etc
Nice video. Can also use that L mode to deliver instead if direct iirc.
Fantastic video!
Hey, I would really appreciate a video about the countermeasures! Its really tricky to set that up xD
Coming soon!
Great tutorial!

@@PappyGunn thanks!
Great video! Unrelated to the bombs, but how do you fly so perfectly level? Is it part of the autopilot? I have to constantly trim up and down...
Thank you! It's not easy and takes lots of practice. Lots of small movements on the stick and trim is key
Subscribed!
how did you get the g strain sound effect when you pulled out
There is an ingame bombing table calculator btw

Can you cover ils landing and radio opetations when using srs?
Hah.. your voice is very similar to the one in our airline CBTs for the B747 (afaik)
So what exactly is affected by changing the reticle mils? Is it the reticle position or size in the HUD or what?
The height of the reticle on the HUD. Higher mil setting will lower the reticle
Nice vid
good vid. Jettison fuel tanks without losing your other stores !! im stuck with.
isn't there a built in bombing table? Is it not compatible with high drag bombs or something?
I think there is but I haven't tried it
How to make a kneeboard page out of the bombing tables?
I flew the aircraft at some set parameters (500 knots, 500ft agl) and pressed active pause. Then I released some bombs and watched where they landed and set my reticle depression so that the reticle is over where the bomb landed.
bruh no CCIP let's fucking go Stuka technique
