Star Wars Explained Does anyone know anything about the manga adaptation of Leia Princess of Alderaan it’s called Leia Ordeal of the Princess anything is helpful I love Princess Leia
He's great. I remember listening to an interview back when The Force Unleashed was coming out and they mentioned that they picked him because during the audition or something when they had him do a meditation scene, he added extra twitching to Starkiller's face to portray the conflict within him. I'm pretty sure it was something along those lines, but can't find the source interview.
Actually, idk why, but voice actors tend to be more nerdy and passionate than normal actors. See Freddy Prince Jr., Matt Mercer, Troy Baker, Tara Strong, etc.
He´s also just a "regular" actor as well. He was (and probably still is) in Supergirl on TV. His character there is named "Ben Lockwood/Agent Liberty". Matt Lanter who voices Anakin in The Clone Wars also starred in the now cancelled show "Timeless".
Dooku was a tool, but I always thought, that Maul was a "real" apprentice. He even knew about the plan of Sidious the create the clone wars and possibly order 66.
@@darth5039 but very little. He thought for example order 66 wouldn't kill all jedi rather kill a few and with the rest they will start a new sith order.
well to be fair, just because they have "star wars" in their channel name doesn't mean their opinions are any good. lol by the way none of sidious's apprentices were 'tools' . they were all supposed to do their job and failed sidious in one way or another.
Jesus Christ were they really going to have Maul use his original lightsaber in Solo instead of the accurate Rebels-era saber? Thank God for Sam Witwer. Isn't Pablo Hidalgo supposed to be the policeman on that sort of stuff?
Just a thought but in The Clone Wars Season 7 Trailer, we see Ahsoka fighting Maul who is wielding a Double-Bladed Lightsaber. So this could mean a few things: 1. He repaired his original Lightsaber 2. He's using Savage Oppress' Lightsaber 3. He's using a new Lightsaber altogether 4. It's only a trailer so this could change
Idk if u seen it now but its a new forged double bladed saber with one half of his old lightsaber combined with ventress's old yellow lightsaber as he bled the crystal
Man if they'd put Maul's Phantom Menace lightsaber in Solo I would've immediately noticed and called BS. It's an aspect of continuity that I know the average audience would easily miss, but it's something the diehard fans would see and take as a lack of attention to detail and disregard for canon. Good thing Sam was there to point it out, but disappointing that filmmakers working on Star Wars could so easily fail to do their research.
Sam Witwir has grown immensely in my respect. He was amazing as Galen Marek and then went and gave that same passion with Maul. Now he even gave recommendations for consistency? When I build my lightsaber at Savi's I will raise it in respect to him.
What do you think Palpatine did with Maul's "Lost Saber"? Perhaps it was kept alongside Darth Momin's Helmet in that ship; somewhere behind the scenes of that Lando comic in which the helmet was first conceived. Or maybe he left these "treasures" seperate. Maybe Maul's Saber was rather kept along other legendary weapons: Jedi Lightsaber's such as Yoda's or Mace Windu's that were left there on the streets of Corusant. Or do you think he rather didn't have the time for trinkets and this General Grevious mentallity was of little interest to The Emperor. Thoughts anyone? Perhaps a phase of Order 66 was to retrieve the Jedi's weapon for storage later.
The emperor refers to his past apprentices in the canon marvel Darth Vader comics and basically flat out tells Vader that Maul’s failure and death was a true loss to him but that Dooku was just a tool to bring about the clone wars.
In the trailer for Clone Wars Season 7, we catch a quick glimpse of Maul dueling Ahsoka during the Siege of Mandalore. In it, we see Maul using a red double-bladed lightsaber. It can be reasonably assumed that he’s using the lightsaber of his fallen brother, Savage Oppress.
Nice Video. I hope we will get to see how Maul killed an Inquisitor to get the lightsaber. But how could Savage Opress find Maul's old lightsaber and what was Kenobi doing with Maul's new lightsaber on Tatooine? Did he burned it or did he leave it as a trophy in a chest at his home?
I checked this after watching the video ... But for some reason maul has a double bladed lightsaber in the sw celebration clone wars trailer . Where did he get it ?
His first saber actually comes from the Sith archives, chosen for him by sidious, and maul changed to suit him a bit more. It's in his journal for the phantom menace :)
I'm still wondering why his original Sith lightsaber wasn't found with the darksaber on Mandalore and if Obi Wan took the broken half with him or he also kicked it down the shaft and Maul just never found it. And I think his last saber belonged to the third brother.
I think it’s perfect keeping Rey Park as the actor for Maul and Sam Witwer as the voice actor of him. Just like how I want the clones to be if we see them in live action again, Temuera Morrison as their actor and Dee Bradley Baker as their voice actor.
Maul already had the inquisitor's saber when he went to Malachor. He didn't take it there. He also had it years ago of going Malachor as the Solo movie showed when he still was the head of Crinsom Dawn.
Its a sad day when a voice actor has become keeper of the lore and continuity of a billion dollar franchise. This would have never happened under Lucas.
the dark saber is a spectacle of mystery Maybe the dark saber was made similar to the red lightsaber through the Bleeding effect via Pain, rage, and anger like with Darth Raven's lightsaber Crystal in the comics, but in this likely case the dark saber was filled with, Guilt, Sorrow, and Agony to which explains the blade's Blackish-White color, and that's what happened to the blade's crystal and the symbol of its color, however, what I don't know is who would, could or even should do this to the crystal itself, or even how the handle and it's Projector was made, or who possibly made in fact.

Perhaps a phase of Order 66 was to retrieve the Jedi's weapon for storage later. It doesn't seem like something Palpatine would do, but what else would he have done? Burn them for the public? Alongside their bodies? (The bodies I believe were burned, at least in legends continuity, for the public as not only retribution for the people but as demoralization for any surviving remnants of the Jedi and the Jedi themselves). But even if they did burn the Sabers, surely not all of them were. He may have either burned Maul's too or kept it with some other notable Lightsabers
Really well done, but you’re missing one! Maul gets a new double bladed lightsaber for the duration of the Siege of Mandalore, as per the last Celebration trailer
Anybody know if Maul used any other lightsabers in Legends? Also (might be a dumb question) when it comes to guidebooks like Cross Sections is there a canon and legends version for the prequel and original trilogy eras?
My guess is that the Inquisitor Maul killed to get his lightsaber was either the Third Brother or the Fourth Sister, as their fates were ultimately left unknown in-universe. Not that I particularly care; as far as I'm concerned, the Inquisitors all deserve to die for betraying the Jedi Order.
What story is it that Maul escapes from Sidious' prison?!? I've never heard of that before I just assumed that Maul became a puppet of Sidious again after thier duel on Mandalore and that Sidious was actually trying to take over the crime syndicates with Crimson Dawn
Does anyone know anything about the manga adaptation of Leia Princess of Alderaan it’s called Leia Ordeal of the Princess anything is helpful I love Princess Leia
I don't see Sidious "giving" Maul anything. He probably supplied the crystals. But Maul had to bleed them himself. But since he was blindly devoted to The Sith. It would have been easy compared to Vader.
Maul was never a true Sith, I believe the book Darth plagueis states as much and the canon follows that idea, even the fact he uses a Double Lightsaber tells as much as the weapon is looked down upon as the weapon of Sith assassins. Maul was a tool from the start.
I didn't include the lightsaber we see him use in the Clone Wars Season 7 trailer - I will update this video when we know more about it, sorry!
thanks for clarifying I was wondering about that

When will you make an update?
Any update? Disney made a legacy lightsaber of it and I just got it…super sick and wanna know more about it
It's amazing how knowledgeable Sam Witwer is when it comes to Star Wars lore, something you would not expect from a voice actor.

In light of Clone Commandos being added to BF2, can you do a comparison video for ARC Troopers and Clone Commandos?
I'd also like to see this!
Ah, the Maul vs Pre Vizsla lightsaber fight is EPIC.
And, Maul & Savage vs Sidious is a close second. 👍
(Edit; Thx Witwer)
Yes, I had many fine additions to my collection
I always liked Darth Maul. I hope we see more of what he does with Qi'ra after Solo.

Guitarded lol yeah I worded that kind of funny but I meant is there confirmation if it’s a new one or old one

Actually Mauls dual bladed lightsaber once only had a single blade but he had to make it a dual bladed lightsaber to kill a foe
I can’t wait to see his lightsaber in season 7.
