I quit for 5 years (for marriage and kid) but I always would look at my cards with nostalgia. Just got back in and I couldn't be happier, thanks for the support
I started playing when the game came out but stopped around 2011. Started again just last month, been kind of hard catching up with the meta and learning about a lot of the cards that have come out these past few years.
***** Yeah I ran into some guys I knew from my locals before I quit, and they complained about Xyz and now Pendulums, and how the game was going under. Took me a bit of time to fully understand the cards, but honestly they're not as unfair as people say they are, and I think it's a good fresh mechanic. Besides timegazer and stargazer, I don't have any. Would you recommend the new structure deck that came out this month?
I don't think I'll ever fully quit yugioh, and really my reason is that I just love the game. Honestly, no matter what Konami or anyone does I will still love this game.
i play all card games. pokemon was my first. it turned out to be completely different from the original with minimal turn interaction between players. naruto was fun with a little more turn interaction but lots of naruto decks are lockdown based, or aggro based. i still love it. vanguard is extremely simple on rules, but playing the cards a certain way is the key, the focus less on confusing rules and more on strategy and a sense of luck too. it makes it competitive but more relaxed. right now, i play YGO and vanguard. in vanguard, i never seem to play the same cards the same way twice.
I AM FOREVER CHANGED AND CONVERTED! I'VE SEEN MY SINFUL WAYS OF QUITTING YUGIOH AND I'VE BEEN CONVERTED! PRAISE OUR LORD AND SAVIOR THE WINGED DRAGON OF RA!!!! :D
Your 2nd reason for not leaving yugioh is the first reason why i left yugioh years ago. I finally came back and I'd still argue that change has not been kind to this game. I've come back to playing and paying attention to it but you can't tell me the game is changing to make me wanna stay.
Vanguard didn't last? What are you talking about? The game has only been around for a few years. Cardfight!! Vanguard is still growing and had record sells last month. Vanguard is alive and still growing.
Yugioh is alive too! except that yugioh is shitting on all the other card games like a boss. And if you don't play yugioh, why are you even watching this
Vanguard is a horribly designed game, its too luck based, and they keep making completely retarded gimmicks and mechanics its not even funny. Though it gives somewhat even support to all the decks and there is no deck mixing, also the cards look better, that's what it has against yugioh, but overall its a game that you play if you just want to screw around or collect.
Vanguard is getting up there as a card game, sure it has its downsides. It has better upsides, with its easier to understand rules and gameplay, clearer wording, and it comes with artworks that are like yugioh's but the whole card. I am not saying that yugioh bad, I play it and I am a really competitive player, that tops most of the time.
I played it with friends when I had nth to do like 7 years ago. I quitted for 3 years but then now I'm back, yey. The game has grown man, the game has grown.
good to see people still love to play yu gi oh of course this game is so great because so much different traps rituals and spell cards monsters never gets boring!
1:25 ~>1:35...The Legendary Six Samurai deck is simply amazing...I have the entire deck including Shi En and I find that the way's to come up with strategies are incredible...Also *Trell* I would like the chance to duel with you one day my Six Samurai against your deck...XD
I've been playing yugioh for 13 years. I've tried Magic and just didn't fit for me. Pokemon didn't work either. I just didn't get as excited about any other card game that I have tried so far. I even tried chaotic and that didn't last. Yu-gi-oh has at least a dozen reasons not to quit. I even play with my 7 year old son. He started playing when he was 5. I keep playing mostly for the fun of the game but playing with my son is something that I enjoy doing. It also keeps your mind sharp for math as well. good vid ya'll. good luck in all your future games of yugioh.
you guys are so awesome and funny lol so anyway i been playin yugioh for 10 years i started playin when first yugioh came out and playin it for fun like randomly dont even know what am i doin lol until i got into the rules and keep learnin how play it and i started to finally understandin what it meant to be played so i got into it by playin from yugioh DS games that helps me play in a automatic system so i didnt quit but i somehow stop playin yugioh for like a couple of years or so and got back into it brings back so much memories i came back to play again when 5ds came out and startin learnin new cards so yea thats why i never quit playin it cause im always good at it (sometimes) lol
I totally agree IV played Pokemon magic the gathering duel masters starwars tcg cardfight vanguard and kaijudo and nothing I mean nothing compares to yugioh for me and IV been playing this game since it started. And just a few days ago I found my Soul Deck which is a deck that is you but not ran the same as everyone else runs it and that's Vampires.
I only like playing with friends because we use the old cards. We still use Xyz and synchros but we don't go crazy. We use cards that we like, and not the nasty cards to win. I use a Blue-Eyes White Dragon deck because I like those cards. I also use a junk deck. I save my competitiveness for playing soccer.
i Agree with you about all these reasons except for the the bit about pendulum summoning. Its not just a passing trend its a hole nother add to the game system if you played any pendulum decks youd know that if someone enters a torny with a pendulum deck you might aswell quit or not even join it cause the deck is just that broken and ridiculous. I run a really strong blue eyes deck variant i can go to a torny and place first or second every time i used to do that. but now the only way you really have a chance at winning against one of those decks is running anti pendulum or another pendulum deck
One Reason Not To Quit Is If You're A Fan Of The Anime,You Can Play It Like They Do In The Anime (To Mix It Up A Little) By Going To The Wika And Learning,Say The Duelist Kingdom Rules (Such As Insta-Losing If You Don't Have Any Monsters To Play,But Getting To Summon Without Tributes). That Way You Can Have Fun Playing It In A Different Way Then Just The Normal Rules.
Imo yugioh is good, but the meta is broken asf and is not kid friendly, even though I play it, its because it brings so much good memories and its close to my heart. The Pokemon TCG is really good, as it is kid friendly and easy to play (sort of)
I hate the idea that playing to win and having fun are mutually exclusive. Heck, I have the exact opposite opinion. Where's the fun in beating an opponent who wasn't trying to win? Even in casual play, with casual decks, play your best, play like you want to win. Because, if you don't, you're making the game less fun for everyone else. Play to win, lose gracefully. That's how every game should be played.
I think they need to add God cards support. Similar to Blue-eyes support, there should be decks that prioritize the summoning of God cards. We got alot of newer prints of the god cards, but we never really use them in duels. Oh yeah, I would also like some Nordic support please.
I can quiet smoking or drinking but when i try quieting yugioh And I've tried like for 3 times a year later I come back like you says guys it's just a great competitive game
vanguard has only grown within the past year, we have regionals that, aren't as big as yugioh of course, but in the course of only 3-ish years in English, has aroused quite a following. at our locals, we used to have 2 yugioh days, but then yugioh went to Saturday, and sunday was reserved for vanguard. and looking at the numbers of attendees, its getting to the point where vanguard almost has as much as our yugioh. around 20-30 people per day twice a week. it definitely looks like vanguard is not gonna die off anytime soon, and it can keep up with yugioh to a certain extent
a lot of your videos have to do with decks that are themed or are archetype-based, honestly my deck is just a mix of monsters, spells, and traps that are good but arent too common. I cant play competitive with this deck, and most archetypes are common and op, or are not well known and arent too good. I kinda wanna have a unique deck XD i think thats my problem. not sure what to do help please lol
Would you recommend Yu-Gi-Oh Legacy of the Duelist on Steam as a way for people new to Yu-Gi-Oh to learn the new play styles without having to look like an idiot at your local game shop? ALSO, Is it possible to just use one type of new summoning mechanic such as Pendulum, and still build a viable deck? (I don't have any tuner or xyz monsters in my deck)
Hm... how 'bout Ojama (yeah, the field spell and that two monster is awesome, but it needs more support), Amazoness (they don't have much), Dark Scorpion, Mokey Mokey?
Would you recommend Yu-Gi-Oh Legacy of the Duelist on Steam as a way for people new to Yu-Gi-Oh to learn the new play styles without having to look like an idiot at your local game shop? ALSO, Is it possible to just use one type of new summoning mechanic such as Pendulum, and still build a viable deck?
am blind, so I use a program on my computer called a screen reader, which reads everything on the screen to me using audio. I had no way of playing yu-gi-oh! for years. I'd watch the anime, look at my brothers playing with jealousy, and wish I could. Well now, there's an accessible, online game that uses the ygopro server and core. I couldn't be happier, because now I have all the cards at my fingertips, in a format I can compete in. You guys should do a video about disabled players in the game. Have you come across any, and what are your experiences with them?
I don't think its fair to judge Vanguard just yet, its only been around for almost 3 years, and it does have an anime, albeit less available than Yugioh's. I do think that Yugioh is more accessible than CFV, since Vanguards card text can be a little...cryptic, to say the least.
Every time I've stopped playing I'll go about 5 months then get bored one day look through my cards look up the ban list and next thing I know I'm back
Some magic players are actually playing yugioh right now because of the weirdness of the current block, so #5 has some truth to it. Also Vanguard and Pokemon are awesome card games, so is Weiss Schwarz
I said I would quit after I blinged out my Gravekeeper's. Then they went ahead and made new GK's! "Just when I thought I was out, they PULL ME BACK IN!"
YuGiOh is a pretty good game but Vanguard! is definitely here to stay and very different to say; Naruto, InuYasha and Star Wars... It is 100% a fully fledged TCG. Apart from that the video was good and very true. 'Quitting' anything you are passionate about and have the resources to play whenever you want and however you want, why do you 'quit'. Committing to stop something you enjoy or once did and not go back to it just seems rash and silly.
CF:V also have an anime show, and it's pretty good too! And the game itself isn't shit! It's unique, weird for first sight - because it was planned by people who used to work on ygo, Duel Masters, Mgic and so on, that's why there aren't any element like ygo. CFV is a decent and humble game, but not a shitty one - Speaking as a Yu-Gi-Oh! player, who will never quit from the game. Except if the community became more a-hole than shouldn't be :P
***** Worth to watch. It is so different, but also familiar. Also, better than Duel Masters; because if ya watching CardFight Vanguard - the first 12-13 episode at least - you might learn the mechanic and rules of the game! :D
LordTchernobog I quit Yu-gi-oh 3 years ago to play CFV, now yu-gi-oh has called me back. So in my opinion Yu-gi-oh has something about that makes it succeed.
the last time I got in a competition of yu gi oh, I know it wasnt an official one but it was a serious one, I won it and everything that get me is people sh*t talking on me...this is how I stop playing it, I still have my deck and play with friends time to time, but for now im into magic the gathering, I would like to play again to yu gi oh, almost all my deck is banned now cause op shit as monster reborn and Yata garasu, YES I WAS THE GARASU ONE OF THE PLACE WHEN IT WAS NOT BANNED and I am sorry, Canadian where I am are really bad player in yu gi oh
I'm 11 and have been playing the card game magic the gathering for 5 years and it's 1,0000000 times better (and the yu-gi-oh dinamics are based of the ones in magic the gathering)
just consider yugioh for fun play purpose. if the money is in ur hands youre lucky to compete for nationals and make money playing tcg. is so dramatic when the people complain about the prices, ruiling and meta and makes more frustrating the situation. id go for pokemon is more chaper than yugioh or magic either ive quit yugioh for 6months
Yu GI oh is a game that requires stratigec measures..And if the Philippines has yu GI oh players I will be a great at dueling,if I have my own deck... : ) but I don't know the rules of synchro, just normal and effect and spell and trap cards are I knowBut I really love yu GI oh but there are no gamers in my country so sad...
+Daniel Dougherty I thought that 2 about Kuwait, but turns out there is a center here. Search on Google "Phillipenes YuGiOh Regionals" or something, because you might be surprised.
pokemon magic and vanguard can compete with yugioh especially up in the tri state area yugioh is having a hard time keeping up. But this doesnt mean its a bad card game it means theyre is very little community up here and the community that exists tbh is not that great
Are you dumb? Magic is in a league of its own. The pokemon games require more skill bt the card game is definately playable. And in no way is vanguard played by 8 year olds. I have been to regionals evey year and have not once seen a child. there isnt even a juniors division. and vanguard is a bad game cause bushiroad fucked up with the mechanics. And the power creep is ridiculous. Yugioh in no way is better either. The special summoning mechanic is busted af. The power creep is ridiculous, which can be said about poemon and vanguard too but definately not magic. Over all the game is decent. No where near the same level as magic. No where near it, And i dont even play magic anymore. Lok up the pro tours or any magic event and look at the prize pool and the amount of people that turned up. Now compare it to a ycs or regionals.
lol youre funny yugioh is degenerate as fuck. Magic has way more depth. And i love the game but hate the way its going and the community. If you think its a better game youre wrong lol.
In my opinion these are just little facts covering why not to quit :U anyone who is here from the old games I'm gonna tell you it's proboably best you don't play because trust me as more times comes along konami just keeps building themed decks and now everybody gets to lazy to make their own decks and they just net deck search or just say oh my deck is totally original their necroz like dude every necroz Deck is the same I mean you may have one card in that's different but they all focus on the same goal to ritual summon and not to mention the themed are more over powered than any other decks ever .-. So now it's like you must have a theme deck to win other than that good luck cause your not gonna get any wins with a orginal deck made by you
Magic the Gathering does so well because it's so simple. It's literally for the average Joe that isn't exactly very intelligent and has a far easier time playin somethin simpler. YuGiOh is somethin for highly intelligent people that're high speed and like more in-depth strategies. Pokemon can be pretty strategic, but it's not consistent in popularity. It goes up and down, so card stores aren't always sure if they're willin to support the game. They're currently in durin 2018/9, but there's no guarantee it'll stay that way and for how long? Pokemon also had an issue w/tryin to milk their brand name too much w/releasin multiple cards that weren't even able to be used for competition. They were just for tradin and nothin else, which majorly flopped. Dragon Ball Z/Naruto is somethin new for people, but it really hasn't received enough traction to be dubbed worthy, whatsoever. It came so late in the game and everyone is grown that was a huge fan, so it's more out of sight, out of mind as a mentality. If they would've released it while the show was huge, then it likely would've been a major competitor, especially w/YuGiOh, since the show wasn't heavily liked the same as Dragon Ball Z/Naruto. I was huge into YuGiOh, but I do still like to play Pokemon/MtG once in a while to play somethin slower and simpler for relaxation, but not for real and/or major competition. The games are just too slow and not nearly as in-depth.
I agree with every reason here except for the reason that other card games are shit. yeah, we don't have that many decent card games, but magis isn't THAT bad and vangaurd isn't THAT bad, but in my opinion they're not as great as Yu-Gi-Oh!
Yugioh is like World Of Warcraft or League of Legends. It basically ruins your life if you get addicted to it too much if anyone agrees on this. Then again its my opinion on what I think of it.
I quit for 5 years (for marriage and kid) but I always would look at my cards with nostalgia. Just got back in and I couldn't be happier, thanks for the support
You Better Be Raising Your Kid To Believe In The Heart Of The Cards.>:.O
7) One does not simply...QUIT Yu-Gi-Oh.
I remember I started playing in '02, when I was 12. I'm almost 27, and not once did I ever want to quit. Much love for Yugioh old, and new.
Same
I love yugioh. I have been playing yugioh since 2002 when it started, and I never want to quite playing. My friends got me interested in the game.
Konami always gives support to archetypes? Tell that to my crystal beast deck
You have to look a bit harder for those!
You're getting it soon. Don't worry. lol
The irony is real
CRYSTAL BEAST SUPPORT CONFIRMED! 2 Pedulums 1 spell and 1 trap. So far it only OCG but maybe soon it will be TCG
Alright... They just released a bunch of new support for the crystal beasts though.
I've been playing Yu-Gi-Oh since 2008 but nobody plays Yu-Gi-Oh around my neighborhood and/or surrounding neighborhoods.
To locals then :0
??? i play in cen cal
??? move out off that shit
Get on ygopro!
Same
Yeah... popularity wise, it feels like it's
Tier 1: Magic The Gathering/Yugioh
Tier 2: Pokemon
Then nothing else even really gets on the radar.
tier 1 is mtg yugioh is tier 1.5 and pokemon is tier 2
man its been so fucking long since i played yugioh thought i moved on but i saw these vids and my cards are back! thx m8
I started playing when the game came out but stopped around 2011. Started again just last month, been kind of hard catching up with the meta and learning about a lot of the cards that have come out these past few years.

+Christian Delgado I would definitely get ahold of the new deck
+Patteroni Thanks, wanted to make sure it was a good choice. I watched some reviews of it just to check it out, and bought a few copies of it today.
i just got the deck starter deck yuya so many pendulums even odd eyes pendulum
stopped playing for like 10 years but came back thanks alot for helping bringing me back!
I don't think I'll ever fully quit yugioh, and really my reason is that I just love the game. Honestly, no matter what Konami or anyone does I will still love this game.

:D
Nah I rather say Slifer
You guys have inspired me to start planning and doing a channel.
Your 2nd reason for not leaving yugioh is the first reason why i left yugioh years ago. I finally came back and I'd still argue that change has not been kind to this game. I've come back to playing and paying attention to it but you can't tell me the game is changing to make me wanna stay.
***** Thank you for not dis Magic the Gathering like you did with the other card games. Magic and YuGiOh thumbs up

Great video! Good chemistry!
Good points. Btw 2 subs away from 4k congrats on the milestone
loved the video :3 ( 4000th subscriber )
Oh snap! Thanks man! =D
I'm a MTG and Yu-Gi-Oh player. I have a class on Duel Amino for Rouge deck construction.

Gotta disagree with the "play-to-win" mentality. I don't like to enter tournaments but I enjoy playing with friends. What's wrong with that?
Shephard922 Nothing at all!
games are meant to be fun...

How do you play Yu-Gi-Oh! with no arms?
Does he have a friend hold his cards for him or does he have some robotic hand?
you could also add that it is a lot cheaper (depending on the deck) top play then some card games (magic) that gets accessible reprints.
Them bloopers though :,)
a lot of your videos have to do with decks that are themed or are archetype-based, honestly my deck is just a mix of monsters, spells, and traps that are good but arent too common. mhm, I condone this message, especially that last part.
there's like a million reasons TO quit yugioh
damn! u look like Beerus more than i thought in the past!
I've just come back to the game after 4 year break
I'm just not good with Cyber or Blue-Eyes...
They very advance... This is why I'm NEVER playing again...
Should I give up?
Damn wow old vid and still good
I said I would quit after I blinged out my Gravekeeper's. Then they went ahead and made new GK's! "Just when I thought I was out, they PULL ME BACK IN!"
My Rokket is being beaten by a Blue-Eyes and Infinitrack decks...
I feel really down.
Good Point
Yeah, Vanguard is pretty good. Lasting quite a bit, no sign of stopping~. But that's k. Opinions~~~
*****
Worth to watch.
I feel like quitting idk just lacking motivation to play
the last time I got in a competition of yu gi oh, I know it wasnt an official one but it was a serious one, I won it and everything that get me is people sh*t talking on me...this is how I stop playing it, I still have my deck and play with friends time to time, but for now im into magic the gathering, I would like to play again to yu gi oh, almost all my deck is banned now cause op shit as monster reborn and Yata garasu, YES I WAS THE GARASU ONE OF THE PLACE WHEN IT WAS NOT BANNED and I am sorry, Canadian where I am are really bad player in yu gi oh
I'm 11 and have been playing the card game magic the gathering for 5 years and it's 1,0000000 times better (and the yu-gi-oh dinamics are based of the ones in magic the gathering)
Great video, but you forgot Reason #7: you can't actually _quit_ this game!
And why not? I sometimes tend to lose mostly...
I play yugioh and magic. I started playing magic in 2013. I like yugioh more than magic.
How to do remote duels
7:50 going to have to defend force of will
Pnly been playing for a couple of months, these are like skme of the rxact reasons, sorry for my crap typing
Years after GX, and the only good support for my hero deck is Shadowmist
Dark law ahem goka chough
I would quit but I won't until I collect all the numbers
I can respect that goal. When you do, you must send us a picture of it!
***** almost got all the English numbers... now I wait for 106 hopefully it will come in dragons of legend 2 this summer
Every deck gets support mean while deskbots "okay we don't need support"
i play yugioh but math is my thing. if you want something competetive play chess youll get money and fame. ygo is just a fun little game
just consider yugioh for fun play purpose. if the money is in ur hands youre lucky to compete for nationals and make money playing tcg. is so dramatic when the people complain about the prices, ruiling and meta and makes more frustrating the situation. id go for pokemon is more chaper than yugioh or magic either ive quit yugioh for 6months
I don't have many reasons to play anymore I'm always busy and I just don't have a want to play
Every time I thought about quitting, my team tells me to shut up & they look at my deck.
Hope they give ninjas a chance to be meta :D
When will ocean dragon lord neo be good? lol
The quality still looks like it was made this year even though it’s 4 years old
Stotler the dio awesome car
Yu GI oh is a game that requires stratigec measures..And if the Philippines has yu GI oh players I will be a great at dueling,if I have my own deck... : ) but I don't know the rules of synchro, just normal and effect and spell and trap cards are I knowBut I really love yu GI oh but there are no gamers in my country so sad...
+Daniel Dougherty I thought that 2 about Kuwait, but turns out there is a center here. Search on Google "Phillipenes YuGiOh Regionals" or something, because you might be surprised.
+Daniel Dougherty I'm pretty sure there is at least one YuGiOh center in every country except Egypt -_- and lucky me is going there next year
I play yugioh because it completes me.
Wait their is a card game for naruto?
I love this game but the meta right now is so confusing
they need to make more support for x sabers like soon
Yu-Gi-Oh is my drug lol
U got any more of them Yu-gi-oh cards
The only thing that drives me away from the game is toxic players
I Want new darkworld support. Every hates the deck but its not even playable.
i fully agree
pokemon magic and vanguard can compete with yugioh especially up in the tri state area yugioh is having a hard time keeping up.
Fatblue246 LOL, Yugioh was a comic about psychopathic gamblers, until they settled on an homage to *MAGIC: The Gathering*
TBH, the only thing bad I can say about CFV is their marketing spread. It's terrible.
I'm still in this darn game because the mages look awesome and no other reason really
I can dig it
Other card games are Sh*t! your so right! ;)
Yugioh is like World Of Warcraft or League of Legends. It basically ruins your life if you get addicted to it too much if anyone agrees on this. Then again its my opinion on what I think of it.
yugioh is like those two except more wallet-draining
