I'm probably "that guy" you mentioned, who teaches newer players the basics of the game and how to maintain card advantage, react properly to your opponent's plays, etc. and also tries to make players who are new to the store (but not necessarily the game) feel welcome by inquiring about their deck & playstyle, showing interest in their trade binder, and introducing them to other players. It can be a little trying sometimes, and they might not always be very appreciative, but it's really rewarding to see people return the following week, who otherwise would not have come back due to getting a cold reception.
I'm that "kid" that is invested in the game more than the kids that go there that are around my age, im 12 years old. It's the best feeling when one of the more respected players that get top 4 all the time say I'm really good for my age. Or your binder is amazing.

+flankenstein Oh god, the number of times I've said "Oh, I'm interested in this card" and the other person has gone "That's not for trade" or "I'm only getting rid of all 3 at the same time" or "I don't want to give that away" is just....GaH! Why would you do that!?
i had a case that had 2 rows. one for trading one for swapping/adjusting/making a new deck.but yeah i heard that alot where people get pissed how u show off cards and just say not for trade...

Be aware that when you enter a new scene based on how serious or casual the scene may be the judge may not be accurate on all rulings. In instances where you are the new guy and know a judges ruling is incorrect be prepared to properly have a source to show them the proper ruling. Its important to not get angry at ruling disputes and handle it in a mature and polite manner.

+Priestess Paula That's funny actually, since I remember Toon Gemini Elf being one of the strongest cards you could normal summon back in the YGO pc games
you bring up goin into a shop and never look down on the ground and dont ever think you're below anyone which is TOTALLY true and i love you guys and you're cool as hell in my opinion so follow your own advice and keep that eye contact with the camera! :)
My locals isn't a card shop, it's a town hall community room nearly every Saturday. It's a great place, but I feel that if your host doesn't own the venue, don't sell cards there. He's paying money to hire out the venue so don't make a car boot sale out of a tournament. The entrance fee is £5 to participate in the junior tourney, but admission to socialise is free. Some guy walked in and took a seat at the back table, whipped out 2 binders and a mega tin full of lots. He started selling it and the host told him to leave, it's a tourney/social club, not a flea market! Don't steal. Full Stop. Anyone who needs to steal cards is a scrub who has no right to have anything except a criminal record.
This might seem a bit strange, but I would actually not recommend bringing a friend if you're comfortable socializing yourself. I've tried going to a locals with and without a friend when I was fairly new, and I found that going with someone I already knew led me to talk and trade less with the other people there, because it was just easier to sit and talk with them. That being said, if you're more shy, a friend is definitely a great lifeline in a new environment. I loved the video. I wish this was around when I first started going to locals!
Im one of those veterans that like to help out the newcomers. im always eager to help other people. I have my rivals and my own cheerleaders (just my lil bro and girlfriend lol) but hey its a fun experience. I remember when I first started playin and I want new players to feel that its a nice cool game that can really help you out through life
I'm nervous to go to my first locals for a tournament. I feel like when I play I'm going to lose in like 2 turns. I've tried learning a lot, but I think I'm going to go with a starter deck, because I've never dueled anyone.
First time I went i was also very nervous.I double checked the ban list but i ended up playing my gravekeepers with 2 books of moon when it was limite xD.But they just laughed it out and let me continue cuz i was only 12-13 then :P
Hecatrice holy shit i was 11, i had an arguement with another 11 year old about monster reborn being banned, (it wasnt) i was right and it was kinda funny.
I went to my shop for the first time at 11 and played my first game not against my brother, I was doing all the timing and thing right and didnt mess up any rules except APPARENTLY you cant run 5 blue eyes in 1 deck
Definitely agree with getting to know the vendors. By the time I started going to tournaments at the shop I'd already been going to Smash tournaments for several months, so they knew me on sight. About two weeks after I started showing up for Yugioh as well, pretty much everyone there knew me by name. Really makes for a welcoming atmosphere and a much better experience.
Im new to the game and the shop I was really scared but the 2 times I've gone there's been really nice agults that have given me advice on my deck and other things
1. Don't get haggled into making bad deals. Always get the full value and worth of your cards and money if possible. Also you may come across someone offering you a deal you COULD have made that was better than the previous one. Always hold on to your goodies until you have talked to EVERYONE, and be assertive about the value of the cards you have up for trade/sale. (Be prepared to take some losses if necessary, but try to minimize it as much as possible.) 2. Don't be too trusting. People will take advantage of you. 3. Don't piss off the wrong guys. Someone at my locals almost destroyed 4 expensive cards in my deck because some of his cards were upside-down when he drew them from his deck. The cards being a Secret Rare BLS back when it was 30$ and 3 Super Rare Solar Recharges which went for 12$ a piece at the time (before these cards got reprinted again). For me, the amount i spent on these cards at the time was more than I was willing to spend. Pissing of the wrong people will cost you some very valuable cards/decks (they will go as far as destroying your things for the stupidest crap). this is my experience.
The super rare version of Solar Recharge was already a reprint and cost a few dollars. BLS, if you're referring to Envoy of the Beginning, has a secret rare reprint, but was originally printed as an ultra rare. The price quotes you listed are way off though. They've always been worth much less for the versions you mentioned.
i had a guy who was my first locals and he really boosted my confidence and he traded 1 of my cards for like ten also he helped me build me pendulum deck, this is one of the reasons why yugioh is still alive.
On my first day at a locals a guy forgot his wallet. I picked it up and some guys tried to convince me to keep it. But I ran out there and gave it back to the guy. Turns out he was a friend of the owner so I ended up getting a spare play mat in the back to replace my paper one I got from a structure deck. Now I’m a lightsworn player who is known for being very down-to-earth and fun to duel against. People always help me improve and even let me open packs when they buy a box. Everyone there knows my name and tons of people there are my friends.
thank you guys for this video! I haven't played since invasion of chaos and I have my deck all together. my big stress about locals is my little brother use to get first every week and now he's getting first places and top 8's at regionals and bigger events. I really don't want to come back in the scene and be in his shadow until I can make a name for myself but I have to. luckily my brother is helping me because he wants me to be on his level.
Andrew Brown gl man I'm finishing up my subterror deck, but I was a player around 3 years ago. luckily some people at the ship remember me. say congrats to your brother for me!
Thank you! I don't know the subterror deck?!?!?! Like I said it's been forever since i played. I went to my locals last week and of course I forgot my deck XD. At my locals there were 2 people who I recognized from LOB days.
I am fairly new to the game and just recently started attending my locals and I just recently found this Channel and I'm very proud of myself that I've actually done everything on this list
I play magic and yu-gi-oh and actually, magic players mostly don't despise yu-gi-oh players, they are actually hold them in a very good view, just they play different card games. Just wanted to say that for the records so people don't get the wrong idea about people of other card games
@@GhostlyNomad130 oh man I'm sorry to hear that that sucks my locals most popular game is Mtg they do modern on Thursday and standard and draft on Friday but they also run yugioh and vanguard on Saturday and pokemon on Sunday n those are just the card games lol they run dnd and table top stuff Monday thru Thursday.
Since I work Mon-Fri, and I've only started a few months ago, it'll be hard to get enough pto built up so I can start taking a night off during the week to checkout my lgs's Yugioh night. My decks are far from competitive (they're upgraded structure decks), so I'd imagine I'd get crushed. But it'll be nice to find some people to play with instead of just deck testing against myself. As long as I get to meet new people, have a few duels and learn more about the game, I'll be extremely happy
Recently attended my first locals, really enjoyed it although it was quite stressful and there was hardly any time between matches to eat and just chill or look around. Learn't some new stuff about playstyles and met some talented duelists, also picked up a few cards, playing yugioh in real life is unbeatable! The beauty of the cards, the chat and even just the feel of the community, just go in assuming EVERYONE is better than you and don't stress too much because it's just for fun! and of course, keep track of yo stuff, especially your binder or extra deck, luckily, people there were really nice and someone ever left their binder which we turned in to the shop owner, be chill.
I am going to my first event tomorrow with an experienced friend playing UCT dinos. I am really stoked. I have played ygopro and dueling book so i know the rules and am not a plebian. After leaving a toxic community in magic, i am really excited to get a fresh start with new people.
Whoa whoa whoa! I play both Magic and Yu-Gi-Oh but am primarily a Magic player, I am offended lol. Unfortunately for me my locals doesn't have too many friendly Yu-Gi-Oh players. Had to drive half an hour to a different card shop before I met some friendly players.
Biggest tip and something I’ve fallen prey to my first few times: if you’ve play tested your deck and felt confident before going to locals, DONT CHANGE things out last minute. Stick with what you have and refine it later when you get home if you still feel it would be better.
You guys are awesome and I know what you mean. When I went to my first locals, I followed everything that I learned from my friends. Which was pretty much everything you guys said. I am now a veteran but still I am not a professional. I'm working on becoming a really good duelist and maybe a professional.
+Bernardo Molina Ask questions, be respectful, be yourself, watch your stuff, listen more than you speak, make conversations with anyone you trade with or duel. It'll be fun!
i recently went to a card shop with my friends for the third time and we met a very nice man he gave us great advice and he even gave my friend a 250$ red eyes deck
I’m a 13 year old kid who lives in a highly magic based community and the nearest card shop is an outlet 30 minutes away but I find time every Saturday to go and play yugioh with a bunch of adults and somehow I completely assimilated into their kind of playing and culture. I just wanted to thank you guys cause I just started around 3 years ago and only started competing when I saw all this stuff.
I usually try to do my best to help out the new people at my locals. I'm definitely one of the better players there, and I know a lot of people do listen to what I have to say about the game. My only problem with the whole thing is that I can't always help people because I can't be there every week, which sucks. :( But, the way I play does allow me to help casual players make better fun decks that can also compete and also help competitive players build a better meta deck.
I recently got back into the game. I haven't played since the GX era(I played a bit during 5Ds). I say the biggest advice to new players is to learn the rules. I mean really learn them. Know the phases and how the chain works(specifically what starts a chain). The fact that some older players don't understand this baffles me, but I digress. Also, be willing to learn and listen. As you guys stated, you may find yourself benefitting. Also, my biggest advice is play what you like to play. If you want to go competitive that's fine, but if you are casual; don't allow others to belittle you for that. It is perfectly fine to play the game casually.
I tend to sit in a corner when i go to card game events, just playthrough a deck on my own to get in the "zone". Not that I'm being anti-social or anything, just getting my mind out of "work" mode since I work all week and the weekend is really the only time for me to go through cards and go play with people other than my son.
I attended my first local in years it was round robin Style I did three matches lost all six duels because my deck which doesn't brick at home would not stop bricking during the tournament
I had a great experience, the judge helped me out and the front desk. Also all the people acted like they knew me right away and I’m excited to go back
So I was thinking of finding a new card shop since I moved but I have only ever collected. I'm scared of getting bodied by better decks since I have never made a deck. I wanted to make either a Blue Eyes deck or a Stardust Dragon deck. I don't know how to make a deck for them or if they are good/legal. I have a TON of cards at my disposal though including almost a full set of original blue eyes that I sort of wanna use. Any tips?
Blue eyes juat got LOTS of support and is one of the best anti meta deck right now, although prepare to spend quite a lot on key cards you likely don't have because they are decently new. As for finding it look up blue eyes deck profile then copy the deck onto to devpro and play the deck and research how the deck works so you can remold it and remake to suit your play style better. Once the deck online is done then you can go get thr cards you need IRL.
What Marcus said is pretty much on point, other than the fact that Devpro (a program used to play yu-gi-oh online) isn't available to download from the original site anymore so you might have to google an alternative way of downloading. But yeah, it's always important to remember that when you're looking up deck profiles to not copy the deck 100%. Make the deck your own by adding your own "techs" and flavours. Also, test, test, test and keep testing until youre in love with your deck. Don't be discouraged if you lose a few games. Yugioh does have a luck-based component after all and every deck has the potential to brick. Have fun and good luck!
An awesome person that taught me awesome things was a guy called Robert at 401 Games. He was so cool and really helped me learn some things when I was new to the game.
Sorry I am very late ! I am new to Yu Gi Oh and I aim to go to my locals for the first time tomorrow. Thank you for your tips I really appreciated the video :) hopefully I will meet new people and become friends with them !
I got back in the game like almost 3 years ago BUT NEVER ATTENDED A LOCALS until this Thursday that just passed. I took Heroes, and I got my ass kicked so badly by some douchebag running Evilswarms. He brings out Ophion, therefore I can't bring out Dank Law and he has his backrow filled. I bring out Excalibur to hopefully run over his Ophion using its effect, he Breaksthrough Skills it. I then make Castel, he Effect Veilers it. And he did the same strategy for the 2 Duels. He negated everything I could possibly do and didn't let me do anything -_-
+TheRaptorhunter123 We all hate these kind of duels but don't blame the Player for doing what his deck is supposed to do. Especially Budget players go for anti-meta decks (Dark Law, anyone?). If he behaved like a douche forget everything I said.
+Team APS Is there a minimum age to enter a locals? I just turned 16 yesterday so I'm curious cause I wanna be competitive. I use a deck I made from 3 dinosmashers fury decks after seeing one of your videos
There usually is no age restriction to play yugioh, what some stores might have is a seperate tournament for people under a certain age but other than that, you're good :)
Me and a friend were gonna go to a locals (him to participate, me to try and scrounge up whatever trades I could to make a deck that wouldn't lose faster than a Neos fusion shoots you in the foot, and to get some more card sleeves and see if EB Games was taking preorders for Fire Emblem Echos yet while we were in the area), but then the snow storm was bigger than expected. Maybe we'll go some other time
people on Dev pro are always mean to me telling me that geargia stink and I would get wrecked by meta. But then they don't say anything when they realize I have flood gates in the side to counter meta and it goes down hill. The problem I am having is that there are no card shops near by which is depressing so I cannot go to a locals yet. I:
Alot of these tips can be used for other places like games workshops. I've been going to my local GW for a few years and it feels like my second home. Unfortunately I don't have a local yugioh store:(
I’ve been playing Yugioh for almost 8 years but never attended locals or anything like that. I never really played with any of the super competitive decks. I mainly just use the cards I have and come up with some decent strategies.
Great video and very helpful. I just recently got back into Yu-Gi-Oh about a few weeks ago and already went to my second locals event. I was wondering though because I've only purchased a few cards and don't have many cards of great value to trade with would it be wise to build a binder and buy cards specifically for trading? Both times I went I else awkward cuz other players came up to me multiple times asking to trade but I knew I didn't have anything of value.
Ive never been to a locals before i was planning on bringing my pure dino deck but then misc. Got hit to 1 so the only comp. Deck i have is raidraptors and monarchs
My seven year old has got me back into the game. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to take to the local shop to play and learn cause I'm so out of touch with the new stuff but your videos r helping to kinda teach the new things to me.
I just got destroyed at my first locals. My floodgate in my deck helped me a bit but I fought people playing trickstar, dragonmaid (for that one, I wanted to see his face when I would play superpoly from my side deck but I needed him to have 1 more dragon on the field) and a guy playing a plant deck (I don't remember the name). They also had a lot of expensive cards. I need a few weeks to build a better deck before going back there.
I wish there was an old school stye locals around Savannah, Ga. I like using some newer stuff but I'm not really interested in links and tuners and pendulum. It's cool for sure. Just not interested but I like Pot of Duality and reverse buster in my chaos emperor yata deck lol It'd be fun just to have people running Zon Daloog and Breaker the Magical Warrior and injection fairy Lilly.
I remember my first locals in Belgrade when i was 11. I came in playing my empty jar deck (this was back when all the jars were legal so the deck was really deadly) that i used to play casually at school and won way more than I should have. there was always a look of salt on my opponents face while their friends made fun of them for losing to a small kid playing deck destruction. Best first time doing anything ever:)
I am current 11 and I went to a locals today, and unlike you, I played Crystal Beasts. Like you, I played casually at school and made friends despite the fact I am 11. In fact, I didn't even care I lost the locals 0-4
Man watching your videos just makes me sad that I have no places near me that do locals. I have a local shop that does some Friday night tournaments (that I haven't been to yet) but the closet place for official stuff is literally 100 miles away.
When I used to play YuGiOh in middle school, I went to one Tournament and the guys there wiped the floor with me. But, the ting was, even when they were kicking my ass they were trying to help me. When I first arrived one guy offered to let me borrow one of his decks, thinking my deck was the shit, I turned him down. Then, while they were beating me they explained how to build decks and such and how my deck went wrong. It was actually a really pleasant experience.
what should i do if I dont have a locals to go to? being in the army i move a lot so i hardly ever have time to find a locals i can go and fully enjoy. as well as having NOONE i know play it sucks for me. I love playing but I havnt had anyone to play with for over a year. would appreciate your advice if you could

I think going to a new shop with a friend is the best tip by far!
that’s based on the assumption that people who play any TCGs have friends to begin with

My locals doesn't allow buying cards so we smuggle cash to each other under the tables like we're buying drugs XD
hey, you smoking some Ash Blossoms? Yeah? Give me a few, heres $50
Sounds cool
bro, just walk outside between matches. don’t be sketchy as fuck lmao
My locals we call it Trading cards for cash so technically it's not buying
Bro u obviously never bought drugs before 😂
Don't bring a binder with cards that you do not want to trade. That will annoy everyone
Or at least have a trade binder and a "show off" binder seperate for those who just want to see some of the cards you have.
+flankenstein Oh god, the number of times I've said "Oh, I'm interested in this card" and the other person has gone "That's not for trade" or "I'm only getting rid of all 3 at the same time" or "I don't want to give that away" is just....GaH! Why would you do that!?

flankenstein can’t we buy one.
big fan of u guys, really got me excited to get back into the game after a 11 year break

It’s cool
@Krioque sure did haha 😂
I hope that's how it'll go for me if I mess up. PS good choice of deck
I went to my shop for the first time at 11 and played my first game not against my brother,
I was doing all the timing and thing right and didnt mess up any rules except APPARENTLY you cant run 5 blue eyes in 1 deck
Can you Screw the Rules at the tournament,it's my first time
Anime and Manga Stuff You might...
But do you have money?
NexusLord 901 Screw the money,i have rules... Wait, let me do that again
Only if you have money! Or, if you are Seto Kaiba and have green hair!
You can my friend
Do u have 3 blue eyes white dragons and a little brother who can’t go 5 mins without getting kidnapped
(Be prepared to take some losses if necessary, but try to minimize it as much as possible.)
FimWritersGroup preachhhhh
Id kick someones ass if they destroyed my cards
i had a guy who was my first locals and he really boosted my confidence and he traded 1 of my cards for like ten also he helped me build me pendulum deck, this is one of the reasons why yugioh is still alive.
Sounds Like Lightsworns Are A Good Match For You,Then. Ya Got Honor And That's Beyond Rare At That Kind Of Stuff.
Going to my first locals/Swiss event in two weeks, so I'm glad you guys made this video! I found it at the right time :)
thank you guys for this video! I haven't played since invasion of chaos and I have my deck all together. my big stress about locals is my little brother use to get first every week and now he's getting first places and top 8's at regionals and bigger events. I really don't want to come back in the scene and be in his shadow until I can make a name for myself but I have to. luckily my brother is helping me because he wants me to be on his level.
who is ur borther?
Steven Brown. he went undefeated at the Seattle regional last month.
Bring a decent deck.
ToonsOff Fun yeah xD. Don't be that guy who brings Cloudians or Vehicroids expecting to win xD
Billy Arnold why not? I mean I play for fun.. I like my vanilla cards I don't give a fuck
Yeah man why shouldn't I bring my dinosaur deck that revolves around Tyrano Infinity
Gimmick puppets?
Well I'm scrapping bringing my Crystal Beasts for fun
i don't have locals where i live (greece)
there is one place but no one plays yugioh, i can only play with my friends or online :(
alukarD is a vampir pou meneis?
aderfe exei literally pantou locals 😹
I am fairly new to the game and just recently started attending my locals and I just recently found this Channel and I'm very proud of myself that I've actually done everything on this list
This is helpful for me, a local shop just started up locals and its the first place for Magic & Yugioh in a long time in my area.
i just went to locals for the first time a couple weeks ago, its pretty small though around 15-20 people. so i thought this was really interesting. :D
That the average amount at yu gi oh
This sounds cool, makes me want to start going to some locals shops just to have fun, hang out and meet fellow Yu-Gi-Oh players
some fantastic advice, I haven't been to a yugioh event in over 11 years but making friends at these places is such an essential thing
I play magic and yu-gi-oh and actually, magic players mostly don't despise yu-gi-oh players, they are actually hold them in a very good view, just they play different card games. Just wanted to say that for the records so people don't get the wrong idea about people of other card games
My Local Card Shop Is Strictly MTG. Cant even buy any Yugioh cards at my local. Closest Tournament Official Shop Is Like 15 Miles South of me
@@GhostlyNomad130 oh man I'm sorry to hear that that sucks my locals most popular game is Mtg they do modern on Thursday and standard and draft on Friday but they also run yugioh and vanguard on Saturday and pokemon on Sunday n those are just the card games lol they run dnd and table top stuff Monday thru Thursday.
As long as I get to meet new people, have a few duels and learn more about the game, I'll be extremely happy
no card shops in my town... ) :
I'm going to my first local tomorrow I'm nerves what people Iam meet and what cards I'm play against and I'm 14 any advice
+Bernardo Molina Ask questions, be respectful, be yourself, watch your stuff, listen more than you speak, make conversations with anyone you trade with or duel. It'll be fun!
+Team APS thanks man
+Team APS aye bro in Yugioh tournament do they use the yugioh ban list or no
Bernardo Molina They use the banlist.
Team APS what about if it's a 'casual gathering? ' is the ban list still in effect?
i recently went to a card shop with my friends for the third time and we met a very nice man he gave us great advice and he even gave my friend a 250$ red eyes deck
But, the way I play does allow me to help casual players make better fun decks that can also compete and also help competitive players build a better meta deck.
Socialisation is a spell I do not have in my deck. Snatch steal is tho
I went in casual and everyone thought I was a savage for playing Crystal Beasts, so there
don't use a rank ten trains/exodia deck because you forgot about link monsters
I tend to sit in a corner when i go to card game events, just playthrough a deck on my own to get in the "zone". Not that I'm being anti-social or anything, just getting my mind out of "work" mode since I work all week and the weekend is really the only time for me to go through cards and go play with people other than my son.
Making friends is always a good thing especially with the same interests
I attended my first local in years it was round robin Style I did three matches lost all six duels because my deck which doesn't brick at home would not stop bricking during the tournament
I know the feeling lol. I'm going to buy or trade for where arf thou soon for that reason.
^^^^^^^
Agree 100%
Also wasn't it ygopro you couldn't download no more?
Yeah you're right. I get the two mixed up. Unfortunately however Devpro actually did get shut down :(
I still use it so is it the same as ygo pro?
I am going to my first local thing on Saturday
I wanna hang out with these guys
An awesome person that taught me awesome things was a guy called Robert at 401 Games. He was so cool and really helped me learn some things when I was new to the game.
This came out a little late, I just went to my first locals yesterday, but I did most of these tips
Al Macuby He actually did behave like a douche. So rude.
+Jake Solesski Fiendish chain x3 is also quite essential nowadays
+Team APS Is there a minimum age to enter a locals? I just turned 16 yesterday so I'm curious cause I wanna be competitive. I use a deck I made from 3 dinosmashers fury decks after seeing one of your videos
There usually is no age restriction to play yugioh, what some stores might have is a seperate tournament for people under a certain age but other than that, you're good :)
Cesar thx man
My local card shop has I believe an age limit of 10, but to stay there without a guardian you have to be 14+
Me and a friend were gonna go to a locals (him to participate, me to try and scrounge up whatever trades I could to make a deck that wouldn't lose faster than a Neos fusion shoots you in the foot, and to get some more card sleeves and see if EB Games was taking preorders for Fire Emblem Echos yet while we were in the area), but then the snow storm was bigger than expected.
Way to rape the meta!!! I love decks that counter meta! 👍 I play deskbots
+Aluce1191 demise.dek is better specifically qlidemise
+Alizer horray for machines! except for kozmos... I:
Andrew Ghostheart as of now woth the banlist kozmos are actually a fun deck now.
+Marcus Beckett they are actually pretty cheap since the gold rates came out o.o
Alot of these tips can be used for other places like games workshops.
I've been going to my local GW for a few years and it feels like my second home.
Unfortunately I don't have a local yugioh store:(
I'm ten should I go to a local tournament plus I'm trash
Gotta start somewhere!
Sanswich go ahead just follow and you will be fine.
Sanswich only if you introduce yourself as sandwich
I'm starting with Crystal Beasts...
I'm 12, not great at the game but I'm going to locals
The last local I went to was years and years ago and I was demolished. If it gives you an idea, it was pre yata and CED banlist
Man, the closest still running locals near me is 1.5 hours away
dam
You guys are awesome!!!
+ofwg kta Thanks! You are, too! :)
Ive never been to a locals before i was planning on bringing my pure dino deck but then misc. Got hit to 1 so the only comp. Deck i have is raidraptors and monarchs
I found out about a store near me that hosts locals just yesterday! This was really helpful
I remember back in 03 our local card shop had Yu-Gi-Oh every Saturday morning and we had one of those stinky guys lmao.
Its going to be my first time at a Yu-Gi-Oh! Local and I’m taking my friend
Wow this video was so helpful. Next week im attending my first locals. What kinds of decks should I expect? More meta decks?
My seven year old has got me back into the game. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to take to the local shop to play and learn cause I'm so out of touch with the new stuff but your videos r helping to kinda teach the new things to me.
Dammm really so I have to build the my deck without using the cards in the ban list
I need a few weeks to build a better deck before going back there.
my yugioh locals closed :c
I’m a young player and have gone to around 3 locals and nearly everyone is supportive of me
For fellow introverts, talking to people is tough but at themed events like locals everyone there is a huge dork too.
I was relearning my Lightsworn deck and found that lumaria lightsworn summoner would pull a rank 3 xyz nice and fast.
Where are y’all located or what shop are y’all at?
0:10 why does he look so sad, it’s like he was forced to do this
I was in my first locals and i was the only yugioh player and the rest were magic players
In fact, I didn't even care I lost the locals 0-4
got my first local tomorrow so this is really gonna help thanks guys!!
+Jordan Baleto Have fun!
Did you win?
Heading to my locals casual play day tomorrow , very nervous
Man watching your videos just makes me sad that I have no places near me that do locals. I have a local shop that does some Friday night tournaments (that I haven't been to yet) but the closet place for official stuff is literally 100 miles away.
Just open up that trade binder(with things you actually want to trade)
Super helpful. Good thing my first locals is gonna be with my friend
I remember my first local I had really good luck found some nice older players that helped me build a deck cause my deck was un playable but yea
It was actually a really pleasant experience.
this video is actually really really good! haha everything I was thinking you guys mentioned
what should i do if I dont have a locals to go to? being in the army i move a lot so i hardly ever have time to find a locals i can go and fully enjoy. as well as having NOONE i know play it sucks for me. I love playing but I havnt had anyone to play with for over a year. would appreciate your advice if you could
I wish I had locals in my town. Not being able to play with anyone in real life gives me this feeling of isolation.
Tip: Type on google maps "yugioh tournaments near me", expect it to be an hour or 2 away
man im nervous on going back to my locals havnt been there in 3 years but just started playing agian on dn
what should i do if I dont have a locals to go to? being in the army i move a lot so i hardly ever have time to find a locals i can go and fully enjoy. I love playing but I havnt had anyone to play with for over a year. would appreciate your advice if you could
being in the army i have noone to play with nor a locals to go to. would like your advice.
Guys I have a question I've never actually been to a local before but I've been playing for years. I don't know what it's like when you enter.
Very wierd at first playing and talking to complete strangers but it gets to be reqlly nice as long as you don't stink or have a shitty attitude.
