Mr. Sidney Poitier gave excellent performances in 1967 with “To Sir, with Love”, “In the Heat of the Night”, and “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” and didn’t get a single nomination.
I believe in equality, but I don't believe in double standards. Also, I don't believe Will Smith based on his actions should allow winning an Oscar either.

Besides even if black actors % was same as their population percentage, there’s not a rule that says that the academy is obliged to give them Oscars just for being black. Same goes to everything else be it policemen, doctors, CEOs or whatever. In the year of 12 Years a Slave, as soon as I saw the clip for best supporting actress, I knew Lupita Nyongo was the winner. She was simply phenomenal. But when they showed the clips for best actor, I said, if this one doesn’t gone to Mathew McConaughey, the Oscar’s are a joke. No matter how good the actor for 12YAS was, MMac was the best. Period.
