Denzel Washington is a class-act all around. He's always come across as grounded, fun, honest, never arrogant or full of himself in any way, always honoring of his wife, friends, etc. etc. etc.
I don't know how many times I've watched Training Day but Denzel and Ethan put out stellar performances in that movie. It's the type of film that keeps you engaged from start to finish.
He was even in a movie where he was in a bed 99 percent of d movie and it's like he was not in that bed because of how much of a great actor he is, have never seen anyone else do a movie like that

Denzel is truly the KING of Hollywood - A First Class Gentleman. Beyond Super Talented. So very handsome. His wife is gorgeous too and I love that she is a “natural” beauty - natural hair styles, beautiful modest, age appropriate taste in clothing. Both are First Class ALL the way, worthy of our admiration 🥰
He is a man that has gotten better looking with his age. I absolutely LOVE him. He is one of my favorites. No matter what role he has he absolutely murders it. Even as an older man, his action rolls are just as good as a younger man.
He's also a man of faith; whether he's always been one but stayed quiet about it, in his later years, he'a focuses on God and His gifts. I revere that, as it indicates a humility toward the far more greater and important part of a life well lived, but not caught in trappings of tartly's gifts. Everything Smith said about Denzel and God was hypocritical in the face of what he did.
Watching movie roles acted by him is a blessing. You always get the best quality performance and a deeper message behind his acting. What's even a greater blessing is the fact that he invests and believes in those who wants to be the best. I remember Chadwick Boseman stated that in a special acting programme he was selected in during his early days and he found out that it was Denzel Washington that sponsored it. Really goes show that a person with a good character and a giving heart can become an aspiration and a role model to so many who studies that person's life and career.
Someone once asked me who I thought was the best actor I ever watched. I gave that a lot of thought, didn't answer the question right away. But I did come back with an answer. Denzel! That's all I said, and I felt very comfortable saying that. Still do. I'm a 75-year-old retired Marine from New York State who now lives in Southern California. I served 2 years in Vietnam, my sons both served in Iraq and Afghanistan, my daughter 2 1/2 years in the Peace Corps. Denzel always exudes a wonderful sense of "doing the right thing" in his roles, a lesson for everyone.
I wouldn't disagree with that. But you really can't compare unless the actors are playing the same roll with the same director and the same supporting cast. That has only happened once with Christopher Plummer and Kevin Spacey and we never got to see the Kevin Spacey production. That's a shame. I hope they put out a DVD with both on the same disk some day.

Who doesn't love Denzel. He scared me in that role in "Training Day". But my favorite character was Troy in "Fences". My dad played semi pro baseball with Monte Irvin in Orange, NJ. My dad was a great baseball player, in the local paper for pitching no hitters and he dreamed of playing for the NY Yankees. Denzel's character really resonated with me. Growing up in Orange NJ and a ditch digger my dad had that same volatile and proud nature.

Actors from minorities like native americans, latinos and african americans has to get more opportunities to show their talent. Still today they are under-representated in Hollywood and elsewhere. They can do more than just play stereo-typed characters.
