Exactly that's another reason why she lost the election she was trying to have these degenerate negroes to represent black people which all she did was basically promote negative stereotypes of blacks if I have them go up on stage acting a fool if people vote or even take political advice from a celebrity should not go out and vote she did so many embarrassing things during her own election which is why she lost in the first place Trump winning the election just going to show you that the celebrities have completely lost their influence in no longer have an influence on anything anymore which is a good thing

I have no problem with celeb promoting politicians, I have problem with celebrities promoting politicians for money without proper knowledge if that politician is capable of handling the position. They'll promote politician even after knowing how corrupt they are for money. That's my issue. It's very annoying especially that they owe their riches to their fans, and they know their fans are commoners and likely to be affected if those politicians they are promoting failed.

I roll my eyes at celebrity endorsements because they are typically paid. When it's paid it's not an endorsement but an ad.
In the commercial space "celebrity backed" is now effectively a signal for "bad product"/"waste of money". Too many celebs backing scams, schemes, and too much money being handed out under the table. People are ever more and more skeptical of endorsements. It's no wonder it's now being treated that way in the political space too.

In 2008 the internet was starting to become prevalent but nothing like today. My husband loves to watch anything political (both sides). Years ago, big production companies were needed to make a news show. It's amazing all the channels that are on now. Some starting off with nothing more than a makeshift studio in their basement.

@peggypeggy4137 back then, people mostly consume media we see on tv. Which are ran by politicians and activists. This is the beauty of america, everyone can report on issues that would otherwise be overlooked, downplayed, or worse yet be twisted by corporate media. Most people now stay away from tv and tune in to internet for news.

I wouldn't count her out of politics altogether. They may need a new Dog Catcher in Berkeley or a Sewer Inspector in Newark someday. Either Kamala or Walz could likely handle either job.

I don’t think any future democrat needs to stay out of politics that elongated competition and discourse which we always need in this country. I would like to see a more moderate democrat though.

@@steamboatwill3.367 That’s a way to lose more elections. 2024 should be a wake up call for Democrats in that the majority of Americans rejected going too far to the left.

Here’s the difference to me. Celebrities used to weigh in and appear, but they were actors, maybe a couple of at the time scandal free artists. That all really changed with Kamala. Suddenly it was just a bunch of women shaking their rear ends and being famous for sleeping around or for their bodies. And while yes times have changed, a lot of men in particular didn’t appreciate a political rally becoming a twerking contest. There are plenty of modern celebrities who don’t do those things and are popular with younger people. However, Kamala almost exclusively went the opposite way, to her detriment.

Kalama's celebrity trick was so childish and a complete waste of money.

Excellent assessment of our fatigue with "The Celebrity" and their bought and paid for 'opinions'! We DON'T care what they think or say; we want truth and a return to sound, qualified and powerful leadership in this country!
