I was born with hearing loss and I wouldn't wish it on anyone and I grew up with huey Lewis and his music always makes me feel good I wish him all the love n the world and I hope he gets all of his hearing back.
I remember seeing classified ads for Huey Lewis and the News in BAM magazine, for local gigs, and thinking what a strange band name that was. Then out of nowhere they got huge. I'm sorry he has this disease, it's rough to lose your hearing when you're a singer.
Huey has always been a favorite singer to me ever since I heard the hit, Do you believe in love. I hate to hear of his hearing loss because that is a loss to those of us who appreciate great music. I hope he finds an answer to his quest for a cure or atleast a treatment.
As a very lowly singer in a band in the 70's and 80's, I understand how devastating hearing loss is. I can't hear music as lots of frequencies lost. I went with the family to a school musical and couldn't follow anything, going home crying as familiar songs sounded nothing like I remembered.

I too have always loved the bands music and I too have hearing loss is profound but I can still hear but have some trouble understanding but can still listen and hear music thanks to my miracle ear aids .
It is a disgrace that HLN have yet to inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Massive success beaking records in the 80's and bringing joy to millions. Come on RNRHF award this group - they may be hip to be square - but th RNRHHF don't get it's cool is the rule and sometime bad is bad.
