I loved the movie. I knew what Trap was going in. Its a classic Hitchcock cat and mouse thriller where he puts you in the POV of the killer. But he barely shows you what the killer does or did. That would take you out of the illusion. And M Night did a good job. Hartnett was great

i'm pretty surprised at the sheer amount of love it/hate it for the film. i'm pretty in the middle on it, but i do think Hartnett was fantastic.

Yay! You got it! Now put the preposterous concept on its head, add 5,936 improbabilities, giggle at some brilliant tightrope over the top double identities from Hartnett and you have a helluva fun movie! Twistless but a satisfying reveal at end. The concept and tone of the movie are given to us right in the trailers!

Yeah the 3rd act is really make or break. Every review I’ve watched has mentioned that the suspension of disbelief is under attack in the 3rd act 😂😂😂. I enjoyed the film overall despite its flaws. Excellent review man. You’re really good at this 👍🏾

Yeah, I was a little lost in the third act. I just found the concert setting far more interesting. Thank you very much!

We loved the film, saw it twice! After the first time we had a suspicious feeling we may have got the perspective wrong. Second time, looking at it as a parody of the serial killer thriller, everything fell into place. The preposterous concept! The billion improbabilities! The over the top acting in double identity scenes! And our new perspective is right: Jamie in the credits! The movie is hilarious! And Josh Hartnett is gold in that tricky rope-walking from a menacing psychopath to an ideal family man. 😂 (Saleka’s talking role only thing that took a point away 🫤)
    4*
