I have an 03 Acura TL type-s but tbh I would have never took out the old radio to me its badass already especially if you have old cassette tapes an it’s funny this car was made the same year I was born but here I am doing what I can to get go again
I have a 2001 tl without the nav that I was planning on buying a double din for it but you made that look way harder than I want it to be. I may just have to do it the old way without clips or fuses 🤣
The codes are usually written under the cap of the engine compartment fuse box

Bro I installed mine big ol’ pain to get rid of all them trimmings but it was worth it only thing I don’t have installed is my factory sub I’m thinking about upgrading the stereo system or buying the harness for it

I have an acura cl thats stereo is the same as the tl only there is no nav. I installed a pioneer double din however once i got it all wired up the deck turned on and worked but there was no noise coming out of the speakers. Any info on how to resolve this issue? Thanks.

I have wired the radio in my 2003 TLs, but since there is no connection to the equalizer, there is no power to the amp for the subwoofer. I added the pin for the SWC and that works. You talked about a solution to connect to the equalizer/amp to make the subwoofer work. Have you put that solution together? Otherwise, can you recommend the wiring changes necessary to the equalizer wiring to power up the subwoofer?
Hey Lanny just curious if you had found a solution to that particular problem? I did the same at first and I had the factory sub working. I have some other questions too since you said you’ve done these. Btw I own a 2002 TL type S with Bose system.

@@XxBUCKZxX ah okay so this radio is $399 and then the accessories are another $70-100. The install is a bit lengthy so I could see a shop charging $150-250 to install the items. I would say you could go to a shop and pay $650-700 total.
would a 6.75 inch double din screen fit in my 01 CL?

I installed a touch screen pioneer deck in my 03 cl and now there is alot of feedback noise and engine noise coming through all the speakers. I checked all the wiring seems to be all good, any idea what I might be? Should I get a new head unit let me know. Thanks!
That’s ground loop noise check all the ground pins and how close they are to power cables

I need help with the bypass part Im working with a 2001 TL, im confused on what wires to tap from the harness and where to hook the rca. Im not sure if the wire colors are the same, Ill really appreciate anyone who could help
Thanks for the video. I am planning on putting a pioneer unit in my 2003 tls. However, we got the car used and it came with a sub woofer box in the trunk and an amp in the trunk too. Not sure what I will find when I get the radio out but hope I can make the sub woofer work. Is it possible that there will be something extra behind the existing head unit? Any suggestions where to put the USB female plug?
The car has a nav system and the dvd player in the trunk. Where can I get the instructions for wiring the nav to keep it working?
Most common install for a subwoofer is to put a line out converter on the factory sub. It is possible that there might be some cut wires behind the radio but I doubt. You can place the usb plug where the factory cigarette lighter is.
@@AcuraAudioGarage Thanks for the reply. I need help with the wiring for keeping the nav working. You had some sheets with pin outs, etc. Where can I get those? And any instructions for the wiring. I assume since mine is a Bose system that there is a amp or equalizer behind the radio.

I have a 2007 TLS. I’m getting bad engine noise from the front left dash speaker. It’s intermittent and gets worse with the headlights on. Sometimes it will stop if you hit a bump or lock the doors. Any suggestions? Thanks
okay so the front left dash speaker is a tweeter, the tweeter has a capacitor to keep it from playing low frequencies. I would try replacing the tweeter and hope that eliminates the issue. Its your cheapest quick fix, also make sure all your battery terminals are tight and the ground point is clean. The engine noise is only through that speaker correct?
@@AcuraAudioGarage Thanks for the reply, yes. It’s only that speaker and I believe it’s an issue at the stock amp.
It is intermittent and sometimes starts/stops when I hit a bump and gets worse when the headlights are on.
Even with the stereo off (new alpine double din) it hisses. when you turn the key off it hisses until the amp powers off.
The stock amp is in the passenger side kick panel right? I believe it is set up passive. Maybe the rca for that channel is grounding out?
@@warren6172 ah yes if you have an aftermarket radio it sounds like it could be the factory amp. But that channel controls the door speaker and the dash tweeter. But you are only getting it from the tweeter which is leading me to believe that is what it could be. But yes it could be a faulty RCA if you have a chance to disassemble and switch the RCAs around to see if you can get the hissing to move channels.
@@MobileMaxCarAudio good call, I didn’t think about the door and dash being on the same feed. I’ll check at the amp and see if I have a short somewhere. I don’t know if I can get to the tweeter because it’s a tight fit because of the windshield. Thanks again for the reply.....Warren
Is this exactly the same for the 03 cl type s?
Assembly/removal is identical but the wiring is slightly different for the CL.

How do get my Navi to work in my 2g tl with disk error
The DVD drive is most likely bad, we recommend finding another one used that is verified working. You will need the code for the NAV if you have the VIN of the car it came from and the serial number on the device you can use this site radio-navicode.acura.com/
