I followed this video step by step and got my new Boss head unit installed. It works great! The worst parts were keeping all the screws organized and getting the heated seat buttons out (what a pain in the ass!). The new head unit is so much better than the old Bose tape deck I was using to plug in my phone.
Great video and the wiring harnesses work like a charm!

@@nickstanley9377 Yeah, so what? It works exactly as advertised, came with everything I needed, and was relatively easy to do (which was very important since I've never messed with car audio before).
Listen I barely know how to do anything on cars and this made me look and feel like a pro 😂

There is multiple orange / blue & blue / green wires, you want pin 3 and pin 10. ended up getting one right but the other wrong which provided distorted low sound but got it going and it sounds great thanks for the video.
Thanks for the video bro! I did this install back in 2003/2004 with an AVN-2454 and now almost 20y later and I'm missing my Google Auto, Bluetooth and non-disc based maps so I'm going to try one of these Android units from Amazon. I just hope the old metra kit i had to dremel up back then still works 🤣 This was a clutch refresher 👍🏆

How long untill we can get a video about changing the door speakers? I have a 2000 TL with a whole sytem but my door speakers are mounted pretty ghetto. Id like to see the proper way to install them.

Thank you guys for making this install simple and easy to follow. I do have a question i installed a Boss BCP62 and half the time my audio sounds like it is in front if a fan did i do something wrong or do i just need new speakers?
I installed the boss elite radio a few months ago. Questions/notes: is there a way to keep the cruise control, and is the parking break wires part of the harness? I ask because while the radio controls stillwork, the cruise control was lost, and i cant use the android audio unless the car is in part, which it doesnt know that it is

I just ordered and installed the sub woofer connector but doesn’t work. My pioneer has two ports labeled SWL & SWR.
I have aN 01' CL w/navigation , but the Navi Is but broken. The touch pad still works , but it doesn't illuminate. As you you know the climate controls are integrated within the navi. My questions is Can I bypass the that with a upgraded stereo set? or do I have to remove the entire navigation system ?
I hooked up my stereo everything was working fine and then all of a sudden the stereo fuse kept blowing even without the stereo connected. Why would that be?

I have the acura tl 99 with navigation, it also controls the HVAC, the ac and heater. Which after market unit can I get that will also control the ac and heater. Thanks
Hello,I have a 2002 Acura tl type s too!!I have a double den aftermarket radio in my vehicle already, but I want to replace it with another radio!!(single den) I just need the wire harness for the subwoofer and steering wheel controls. Could you give me a price just for those 2? Thanks
Thank you for this thorough video, I plan on doing this soon. Do you think these aftermarket stereos will have any issues driving the stock speakers? I bought the the Alpine ILX-650 (rated at 16 watts) from Crutchfield and their website gave me a warning stating I should upgrade the stock low impedance speakers to 4 ohms. Not sure exactly what the stock impedance is. Thanks.
Unfortunetly crutchfield gave you the wrong information. The 1999-03 TL has 4 OHM speakers not 2 OHM speakers so you are good to use the ILX-W650 to power them directly. The impedance matters because it determines how much power is allowed to get to a speaker. The lower the impedance the more power is allowed to get to the speaker but with more power comes additional heat. The additional heat would destroy the internal amplifier if your new aftermarket radio so its always recommend to use 4ohm speakers and not 2 ohm speakers when wired directly to the aftermarket radio. But you don't have to worry since yours are already 4 ohms. But upgrading would be worth it since the factory speakers aren't that great.

I have to sub outs which should I connect it to?
I used your harness that has all the speaker wires and sub RCA all in one and when I plug it in all the speakers work but the subwoofer sounds extremely low. I tried playing with the lpf and still sounds low. I can confirm it is playing by going into the trunk, any help would be nice
Hey this year TL uses a separate harness to keep the subwoofer working. So the main blue plug keeps all the speakers you need another green plug that hooks up before the EQ to power the subwoofer. mobilemaxcaraudio.com/product/1999-2000-01-02-2003-acura-tl-bose-subwoofer-amplifier-retention/

What model boss radio was used ?
If I use the rca out to keep the factory sub, i’d there another sub out in the head unit to run to my aftermarket 12 in the trunk so I can have both?
most aftermarket radios except for sonys have 2 rca outputs for sub so you can use 1 port for the factory the other for the aftermarket or if you want you can use an RCA y splitter to make 3 ports 1 for the factory and 2 for your aftermarket subwoofer

I got the amp for a 2004 acura tl pnp and now its getting a motor noise when i put it
Hey please reach out to us via text or email so we can help. With youtube we aren't able to tell which order is yours. Generally help would be to clean your battery terminals and then make sure your vehicle has all the grounds from the engine block to the chassis. There is 4-5 grounds very common for one of these to fail and introduce noise into the electrical system. It could be a faulty amp but we have sold over 300 amps at this point and engine noise isn't common.
How well does the Bluetooth work
The bluetooth on this radio is pretty good it has a good range and pairs easy with multiple phones.

It will just work it doesn't require any special items. If it worked before the install it will work after it.
