- if you don't hook up the red and yellow wire on the gray plug, you will have no sound, and this is the way to wire to make the amplifier to come on

This is the style of radio installations that give me so much work.
Are you implying this DIY installation will give problems down the line inevitably for a mechanic call? Genuine question man, Trying to save time and money 😵💫
@@personfriend7909 yes. Everything from weird security codes, to parasitic draws, to failed components and no-starts. When you let someone with Best Buy mentality to install complex aftermarket components, it always ends up in a shortcut now, thousands to rectify later. I just had a customer with a no- start. It was from someone tapping the ignition output wire that burned the ignition switch. For what? For fog lights. I had a Honda CRV that had intermittent hazards turn on, and no rear wiper function. It turned out that someone yanked on a 24 gauge wire so hard, it opened up the connection of just one terminal INSIDE a connector, and the circuit was being intermittently grounded because the electrical tape slid away AT THE A-PILLAR. That meant I had to chase a circuit through 3 different quadrants. These are customers that sometimes already spent thousands on parts thrown at it and “diagnostic” time. Do it once by doing it right, or don’t do it.
@@personfriend7909 when you see butt crimps like 47 of these, you know it will be a problem. Not if, but when. Harnesses should be created using quality wires and connectors. And if splicing, should be made using western union style, solder and shrink sheathing. No question. Mapping of harness length should be made to give adequate room for harness and the accessories they run. Not folding a wad full of wires and wrapping them with zip ties.

so the blue wire is the one for the amp or different one mine was the same after I paid a guy to do it and he didn’t connect the amp wire which is blue . so I got sound but sometimes is weak or low
Try to balance to the front to see if it does that
@@khmerohio well my speaker are working good but idk if the amp is going out because when i first turn the radio on the sound is low or weak but after 20 minutes or so the sounds is perfect ,, i think of replacing the amp
Hey I just put after market boss radio on my 05 tl base so impair a guy to do the work but after he just connected the blue harness but not the grey one and didn’t have sound so i checked on here TH-cam and guy told me to connect the amp wire to the grey harness got sound low but sometime is loud and sometimes is kk da good but not loud so I’m wondering if I’m missing something or my factory amp is failing
Just balance the rear speaker to the front yes it could be your amp is going out or just he speaker is going out
@@khmerohio well for what i know when the speakers goes out is go out ,, so i thinking is the amp ,,, like i said after 20 minutes all the speakers sound perfect very loud the only one i cant get to work is the center dash speaker i put new one connected it does work but when i turn car off and back on all the speaker dont sound

Dang that's sure does look easy so that would be nice but the fact that you are just tearing away A remote wire that was already on the cluster?
Is was that cluster a stock cluster? Or was it an aftermarket cluster someone else had already put on it that you ripped that are moat wire from?

It's cheaper to buy this android system then buying an aftermarket mounting kits alone will cost you around $300 and the android cost you 499 everything including the screen and wires friend 👍
I have a android radio is 9.1 and I tried the yellow with red wire the all grey wire and still no sound

This same happened to me today paid a guy to do the installation and radio turned on but no sound so he told me radio was not good but I saw this vid and did that and is working now thanks
