Now if only people would realize the C35A from the RL was a torque god (max torque at only 2,200rpms I might add) and would’ve been an even better candidate for a supercharger.
The reason that this particular supercharger is producing “ONLY 3 LBS.” of boost is simply because it is designed to be installed on a stock vehicle WITHOUT a tune!!! Any more boost and it would require a CPU tune. So, just increase the boost on this little supercharger and watch the power go through the roof!!!
When you get bored of this project lmk . I have wanted a supercharged TL for ever but the wife doesn't want me modding the 70k org mile TLS sitting in the garage. CT Engineering has developed a supercharger kit for the TL/CL and Accord that increases power by 40 to 60 horsepower at the wheels depending on the model of car. The supercharger uses a “Eaton-type” design that provides consistent boost and compresses the intake charge efficiently with a minimal increase in the intake air temperature. This combination provides almost instant boost that increases low and midrange torque for excellent throttle response. The kit is complete with cast aluminum supercharger manifolds, all mounting brackets, fuel pressure regulator, Ice Box air intake, all necessary hardware and is designed to provide excellent breathing. The kit requires no major modifications and the car can be easily returned to stock. The kit requires the customer to purchase a new, smaller 51R battery. The TL / CL and Accord supercharger kits are 50 state emissions legal. Ive seen alot of j series supercharged now my question is why are they not intercooled? You dont have to get a big ass one but im sure IAT's are soaked

Why haven't you upgraded your ignition coils to MSD performance J series ignition coils especially if your supercharging you need more Spark 15% more spark what a difference
True I have MSD ignition coils on my 07 Accord what a difference when I put the MSD coils on I can hear my cold air intake sound louder in my exhaust louder because of the higher combustion

What a life saver 🙏🏾
Nice video made it look to easy and what does the additive do I heard you say it reduces heat, is the additive universal ?
Yes it’s universal and reduces the heat and wear. I will be testing it soon on the Dyno to see if any gains can be made from it. I have videos of it on a lubricity tester on my other channel of the Moore motorsports James D guy channel
Ive seen alot of j series supercharged now my question is why are they not intercooled? You dont have to get a big ass one but im sure IAT's are soaked
Intake temp was at 155 which isn’t near as bad as my D series supercharged that was at 200+ lol Superchargers don’t have intercoolers they have after coolers but hard to find for these. Ima use water/meth injection eventually. 1 step at a time.
@@TexasHondaChannel i appreciate the reply and appreciate the information!
I need that supercharger for my CLS. Why can't I ever find one? Lucky you.
Mee too:)
Awesome build!
thank you for making great videos
Good find on that supercharger. Now invest your money and time and get your dashboard replaced.....😆
Anymore comptech supercharger for sale out there? I can't find none here in California 😢
Do they make a simile kit for the j37 or would this one work for a j37 ? Love the supercharger whine way more than a blow off valve sound , enough that I don’t mind making less power.
Just wow , love the sound and any plans for the dash? Maybe flock it
I don’t wanna take it out so dash cover for now. Lol 😂
@@TexasHondaChannel lol I understand either way love the progress on the tl
Why haven't you upgraded your ignition coils to MSD performance J series ignition coils especially if your supercharging you need more Spark 15% more spark what a difference
True I have MSD ignition coils on my 07 Accord what a difference when I put the MSD coils on I can hear my cold air intake sound louder in my exhaust louder because of the higher combustion
Could this be used on an auto transmission as well and about how much HP did you gain or notice?? Thnx
Is your car auto to manual swapped, it doesn’t look like it has the brembo 4 piston calipers all manual tl have?
Previous owner sold the Brembo brakes off of the car prior to getting rid of the car I believe he said.
@@davegregory791 correct!
The 4 piston calipers did come stock but during The front right had a collision and when they replaced the suspension they replaced the brake caliper and to make it match they replaced the driver side with a oem non 4 piston caliper. But it stops great with drilled and slotted it’s really good. But it will get the 4 piston calipers eventually
How can I supercharge my 2006 MDX? I need to improve my fuel consumption.
do i need to upgrade anything on the engine bfore putting a supercharge on ?
Happy birthday 🎂 4/20
wow your lucky comptech is out of business
Nice find im looking for one right now
sounds cool but 3 psi cant be getting much gain hope it tunes better
Nicely done. You took off the EGR valve but did show it go back on, did ir get deleted? How does the engine bay cover pieces working out after the installation of the supercharger?
I dont think he uses the plastic covers as he said hes running a 2010 Odyssey manifold
Does that Odyssey manifold bolt straight on, no changes? I am wondering if I should get one for my J30A5 Accord now.
Dang I didnt know this kit was on dfw, I would of snatched before you did :) you got a great deal on it
What did you do with your map sensor mine won’t let me hit boost bc I believe it’s the map sensor. I have the b series one and it just cranks over won’t start
Badass I’ll be looking out for one these sc kits
Crazy that my little 1.5 liter civic Si stock with just a Ktuner and off the shelf tune makes 249 whp and 302 wtq
You must be running the phearable race tune. I’ve personally used the original pherable tune and both iterations of tsp. How are you liking it? I almost went pulled the trigger on it, but found a deal on the tsp 1+
@@krispyjuniors7734 yea....I'm usually on map 2 most of the time though. It's great but if you're already on the regular phearable tune it's not worth the money to upgrade because you probably won't notice the difference
