Don't forget Bran Redman and Pedro Rodriguez (1000 km Paris 1969), Robin Widdows, Jack Brabham, Dan Gurney and Chris Amon (I saw him at Montlhery for 1000 km Paris 1971), not really "Gaulois" but also well driving for Matra

Quite possibly the best sounding engine in history indeed. Just absolutely musical, perfect. Some engnies spin too quickly and sound too high pitched, this is just perfect.
