So, I did a LOT of research before attacking the 1 foot long "light" scratch on my cars fender. Based on PF's review, I bought Meguire's Ultimate Compound for $12 at Harbor Freight,. I applied 6 small drops to a "wavy" foam applicator. Installed the applicator into a electric drill. Taped off the area I was working on, and ran the drill at about 1,000 rpm with moderate pressure - letting the applicator "do the work" Made sure the pad didn't go dry, wiped area off with a clean micro fiber towel, and after about 7 minutes the scratch was gone. Thx Project Farm Dude!

The pacing of cutting the videos nearly as fast as you're reading the instructions aloud is actually kindof awesome! Extremely easy to follow and doesn't feel like stretching or wasting time. You even went over several products and their packaging in less time than some go over a single product!

      Usually I'd recommend this order:
Quality rotary tool, Jig Saw, Drill, Angle Grinder, Router.
For most basic small DIY tasks the rotary tool will be more than enough as a single go-to power tool. Small paint scratches can be buffed out pretty fast with the high RPM and proper bit. Of course, buying the right tool for the job is important so really if you have scratches and fade as bad as the tests, get a nice corded drill.

Gloveworks HD orange ones are the best I've found and I've tried probably 20 different brands. I've literally stabbed them with a screwdriver hard enough to leave a bruise on my palm yet the glove stayed intact. I've caught them on sharp corners, cotter pins, etc and they hold up really well. The other huge benefit I've found is that even covered in grease you can still maintain a strong grip on tools, components etc and they clean up easy with just a paper towel, no tossing them once they get greasy like my old go to brand the Raven nitrile

Great video! I love watching your content, especially the oil and oil additive comparisons as well as fuel additive/alternative tests. I think since you showed the scratch removers, headlight restoration would be a great follow video to it. I’m currently in the process of restoring the headlights on a car I just bought that sat under a tree for 2 years without being driven or washed. Toothpaste alone didn’t work so I had to resort to sanding them with 400, 1000, 2000, and 3000 grit sandpaper, then using toothpaste as a polishing compound. Now I’m gonna try using some Meguiar’s plastx to eliminate the remaining haze and then apply a rustoleum uv resistant clearcoat to protect them. Much better than spending hundreds of dollars on new headlights.

I tried that carfidant one for my swirl marks on my Ford and thought it was going to be a good product due to all the good reviews on Amazon but once I opened the package for it I saw that it had an advert saying if you left a good review on amazon they'll give you a free product. I guess that's why it has great reviews since when I tried it I got the same results as Farm did.

      Can confirm many products from
      Amazon have similar material included

Should contact Amazon on that one. Pretty sure that's "buying" good reviews and against TOS.

@@matthewhaworth5935 I'm sure people don't care since they like receiving free stuff.

Quixx scratch remover from Walmart, I should say better then these

    • @matthewhaworth5935

@@TheOmegaGamer100 That's the point and is exactly why it is not allowed by Amazon. People want free stuff, but people want good products and reviews are the primary way many people choose products on Amazon. Think about it, you got lulled into buying a shit product by a false sense of security from positive reviews that were bought and not earned. Now you think well fuck it I want my free stuff so you just give it a 5 star or whatever and call it a day and on and on it goes. Not even mentioning the fact that paint repair isn't rocket science but with today's world the shit is snake oil to your average Joe.

I've been going through all your videos and I really enjoy your content. I'd like to see you compare cordless reciprocating saws and also a comparison in glass cleaners. I have tons of trees and hate sap spots. I like Stoners, but there might be better ones. Merry Christmas!

On name choice alone I would avoid “Carfidant”.

VIDEO SUGGESTION: Best Dent Removal Tools as a follow up video to this one. It would be great to see suction cups versus glue on pullers versus paintless dent removal tools. Even the physics trick where you heat the dent with a heat gun and then immediately spray it with an upside down aerosol can to freeze it could also be thrown in. I really enjoyed this video being a gear head as many other have. Props to using your own car also. Excellent video. Keep up the good work!

Great video!. Very professional. Thank you. Did any of the scratches start showing up after washing the car, and which scratch remover was used on that area, showing the scratch again?
